***OFFICIAL 2014 WORLD SERIES THREAD: KC vs. SF*** (1 Viewer)

Always be a fan of Jeremy Affeldt too. I know Panik's play helped bail him out but he was clutch to keep the wagon in the road when the wheels could have easily come off.

Just about had a heart attack hoping he was going for home.
dont know why they held him
He would've been halfway down the line when the ball got home.
With the way that half of the field was handling throws and cutoffs, the ball might not have ever gotten there.
He would have had to be running full speed and not slowing up at third. Which he wasn't doing.
Good point. I think it was also mentioned here that Gordon didn't break out of the box very hard because he thought he'd hit a simple one-bounce single to center. If he took off towards first thinking it was in the gap, it might have been a different story.

yeah, JA deserves a lot of credit for slowing the train wreck that looked inevitable.

:lmao:

"go congratulate with your teammates"
I just went back and counted the congratulations.

1 from Rikk from Chevy.

1 right away from Erin.

Bud with FOUR in like 10 seconds.

And back to Erin for another all in like 15 seconds.

Then the one last "go congratulate with your teammates". :lmao:

Bumgarner couldn't get outta there fast enough. So great.

:lmao:

"go congratulate with your teammates"
:lmao: This is the most awkward thing ever. I LOVE IT!!!
I could rewatch that all night. I was like the Chris Farley talk show from SNL in real life. The best was went he whipped out his index card to check his speech notes but held it too far away to be able to read it.
And when he was looking for the keys in those deep pockets, saying it has some wifi...and a lot of "stuff" on it...and that the truck would be Madison's "very own". :lmao:

I bet he wore a T-shirt and jeans to the ballpark forgetting he had to do this award thing after the game, and had to borrow a suit from John Kruk.

#chevyguy on Twitter is a must read right now. I can't remember the last time I laughed so hard.
:lmao: I don't have the twitter but I have rewind. Whoever said it was Chris Farley is spot on. He might be better. He stammers and sweats and makes everyone in the room a nervous wreck. It's the greatest.

What an honor it must have been for Madison Bumgarner, after one of the great performances in the history of the World Series, to receive a new truck from Chevy REGIONAL ZONE MANAGER Rikk Wilde! With two Ks!

Wildes performance did not quite capture the poise and composure of Bumgarner as he nervously fought his way through his presentation. He even captured the spirit of American manufacturing by saying the Chevy Colorado (apparently theyre naming cars after states now) had technology and stuff.

If you want an extra laugh, watch Bud Seligs mannerisms in the video below.

Selig's face in this video will be the birth of a thousand memes.

I thought Rikk from GM was going to have a cardiac arrest before the presentation was over, the poor guy was gasping for breath by the end.

For me, it went beyond amusing to the point where I just felt really bad for him.

Well if there are any Royals fans on here - I enjoyed watching your team a helluva lot more than my team. I hope they can build on this and be right back in the hunt next year.

:lmao: I just showed a friend and he won't watch it again. I kept trying, but he just can't. :lmao:
