I was saying the same thing. Pence had to misread that off the bat. Different angle from 1st base guess it was hard to not know if that might get over Gordon's head from that angle.

Well now that they brought him in, I believe their intention is to let him go as far as possible. It's very possible the guy isn't human

I wonder how much Peavy cost himself with his two WS starts. Shields is also a free agent and hasn't done himself any favors with a (mostly) lackluster post-season.

I can`t see any team signing him unless it is an incentive laden deal. Peavy is a 4 or 5 right now at best.
