Nothing would make me happier than the rabid crazy fanbase of delusional Ole Miss fans to get stomped 49-0 ending their "dream season". Most arrogant fanbase (without any reason at all) that I've ever encountered. As much as I don't like Auburn, at least they've actually DONE SOMETHING. Ole Miss never does anything, yet they still think they are close or will soon be a national power.

Hugh Freeze is going to regret passing on the Florida job for a long, long time.
I feel the same way about Arkansas fans.

So how is everyone feeling about the "other bowls" now that we have a playoff? For some reason the playoff has made me care about the other bowls even less.

Never really cared before unless my team was playing, but I like the way they are doing them now and the matchups have been pretty good on paper. Lots of letdowns in performance this year though. I've looked forward to more games this year than I can remember in recent history, but most of them have ended up not being very good.

Not sure if you are referencing today but this isn't a letdown by Ole Miss. They're just getting whooped by a much better team.

No, not this game. I expected Ole Miss to lose...never got the hype. When I say letdown, I mean I thought they game was going to be pretty good, but then it ended up not being very good at all. UGA last night is a good example. I expected Rutgers vs UNC to be pretty good as well as Clemson vs Oklahoma. None of this is to say that there haven't been good ones. I guess it just happened to be the ones I was targeting ended up being not so good.

Maybe now people will acknowledge how middle of the road LSU and Ole Miss were this season.
Now? LSU went to the Music City Bowl...if that doesn't scream mediocrity, what does?

Ole Miss had some good wins, but lost impact players to injury and got a really bad matchup against a team that should be in the Final Four, or whatever it's called. TCU is angry...like an old man trying to return soup at a deli.

It's always tough to read too much into the bowl games that are meaningless, but I do agree LSU was middle of the road. I guess losing Mett, Odell beckham, Landry and Jeremy Hill was too much to overcome in one offseason. Of course if I'm an LSU fan, I wonder why they didn't have the best offense in college football history in 2013, but hey it's Les Miles.

Ole Miss never did much, except beat Alabama at home in a game they were super amped for. It was a flat out bad day for Bama.

As a Bama fan, I have as little confidence heading into the playoffs as I have in any of the previous BCS games. I'm not worried about Ohio State, as I think we'll win easily. But Oregon scares me to death.

I do have to say that by the looks of today, I'm glad it's Ohio State we are playing and not TCU.

Poor Hugh Freeze...from red-hot coaching commodity to an SEC also-ran within just a few years. Passed up his big moment and who knows when or if it will come again.

ouch

I think TCU would beat Ohio State by 40.
Yeah probably so. This was a tough year for the committee with 6 worthy teams. They look quite good.
So the committee acquiesced to their ultimate "employer" - ESPN - and went with an easy ratings home run. I think it (the committee) is basically despicable, but I've never thought of the committee as anything other than a cover for the old cover (the bcs). Any sports committee that judges win quality, has competing teams' ADs and Condoleezza Rice on it is easily a complete farce bordering on criminal. TCU would handle every team in the FF except Bama and even that would be a game. Basically this is the BCS in 12 expensive suits.

Good hyperbole here.

TCU shouldn't have pissed that game away to Baylor. They bring just about everybody on offense back, they have a great shot to get there next year.

Yeah once you lose, you lose your chance to gripe. Sucks, but those are the breaks. Especially when you are not a historically good program.

So if tOSU upsets 'Bama tomorrow, will everyone say TCU should have been in over 'Bama?

TCU honestly has no business being in the conversation. I'd like someone to give me one argument for TCU that makes any sense, other than the fact that they were ranked 3rd last week.
What's your point.
That your entire day of rants back then were ridiculous then and still ridiculous now?
:lmao:

I still don't think they deserved to get in over Baylor...Them whooping up on Ole Miss doesn't change that.

still have that feeling.

ducks roll over FSU, and after listening to the FSU player interviews yesterday from LA, I think the ducks are going to kill them by 30
Let me get some +9 then.
you take FSU I give you 9? sure. howws $50 sound?
Solid bet, but you'll never see the money.
:lmao: I try to give you Oregon Fans the benefit of the doubt, but you keep posting like this.

Yeah shaders anti tcu shtick was about the worst of the final 4 arguments

Honestly there was no shtick. Baylor beat them. I could be wrong, but I do believe there were numerous people all over the country that agreed with me on that.

I'd imagine something along the lines of you criminally underrating TCU.

What was your point?
I never underrated them. Just thought Baylor deserved it more. In a perfect world, they'd get a chance to show it on the field. But it's only 4 teams, and they lost. oh well.

2 teams are going to lose tomorrow, that's a guarantee. I'm sure everyone will scream about how TCU deserves it, after those two teams lose.

Of course the committee didn't have the hindsight of watching the Dec31/Jan1 games when they made their decisions.

TCU just humiliated Ole Miss, who beat Alabama. Maybe it's Alabama that doesn't deserve to be in the playoff?

They deserved it over the Alabama-Osu loser. :bye:

Calling LSU middle of the road might be a kindness. I definitely expected more.

I gotta think having the d coordinator negotiating with a division rival during the week leading up to the bowl might have been a bad thing.
