That is horrible. That new replay shows nobody even came close.

Then, why the hell did they challenge the recovery? What's going to be overturned on that?

You just lost the game when they officials don't agree with that. That's even worse than the bad call on the offsides.

Here's how I think it will shake out now.

Orange: Clemson/MSU

Cotton: Bama/Oklahoma

Peach: FSU/Houston

Fiesta: OSU/Notre Dame

Rose: Iowa/Stanford

Sugar: Miss/Oklahoma St

No Oregon.

I could see UNC taking the Peach instead of FSU after playing Clemson tight, but I doubt it.
Can OSU and Iowa both be in those with MSU in the playoff? Or am i thinking of the old BCS way?

Higher ranked of Iowa/Ohio St gets the Rose. The other will be ranked high enough for an at-large spot.

yea that max of 2 teams thing is gone.

Dr. Pepper sponsors conference championship week. Every soft drink except for Dr. Pepper gets a shout out at some point during the game.

Could very well be correct but Oregon would be favored over any of these teams minus the 4 playoff teams and OSU. I would love to see Oregon curb stomp the Seminoles again.

This team needs to learn how to finish. Sucks for UNC about that bad call. It was a bad call, but I'm not gonna cry too much.

Woooooooooo Hoooooooooooo!!!!!!!

Go Tigers!

:lmao:

Worst part about today is that there won't be outrage that someone is left out which means fewer calls for 8 team playoff.

Welcome to conference politics UNC. This is exactly why conference officials are a ridiculous idea.
Out of all the teams in the conference, UNC has the least merit of complaining. They get every call in basketball ever.

Again, it was a bad call, but of all the teams I would feel bad for, UNC is at the bottom of that list.

Congrats Marc on the win!
Thank you.

Good seeing Hoos First in here... I don't know if he remembers, but we tailgater together when I was at Clemson over a decade ago when UVA came into town. Of course I weight like 100 lbs more then and was actually bigmarc.

Why does everyone seem to have Alabama #2? Ohio State, Iowa, Michigan, Baylor (without a WR at QB), TCU, and Okie State are all probably better wins than anyone Alabama has beaten.

Not a UNC fan but officials blowing obvious calls repeatedly over the years for the "haves" in conferences is really old. The NCAA needs to employ the officials and hold them accountable for calls like that.

Yes. It was an epic Matt Schaub vs Clipboard Jesus battle that day!

So that blown offsides call helps UNC get the Chik Fil-A on NYE afternoon?

Michigan State can have the #3 ranking, no one really looks forward to playing Saban after a 25 day prep.
Agree - I would want to play Clemson and not Alabama, especially in the semis.
Plus if you win you get Saban on a normal week, taking away pretty much any coaching advantage. I do think Sparty jumps OU, they have the better resume (really the best of the four teams).

I guess that's what I'm saying. UNC is THE "have" in the ACC. I don't wish any team to have a bad call against them, I'm just saying the blown calls are still wayyyyy in favor of the Tar Heels over the years.

Suppose it could. But they had UNC below FSU going into this game. Doubt a lot changed. They did give up 45 points.

My take on bad calls - it's as bad as it's always been, we just have so many replays now that it's highlighted so much with 24 hour sports news, social media and the rest. Same concept as news items - stats show us that in a lot of ways crimes and "bad stuff" is down and/or at the lowest ever but you wouldn't know it from watching the news and following social media.

Weren't they #2 last week? You can't drop somebody after totally dominating their conference championship.

I think Clemson was definitely the best regular season team. Wouldn't mind playing them after the ### kicking they handed OU last year, but that seems like a long time ago. OU is a completely different team.

Bama is easily in the best form of any team in the country. And I say that as a Clemson and Florida alum (and live in freakin' Bama country - it sucks).
