LSU and South Carolina don't play again until 2020 ... cross-division game.
And if you happen to pull off the win in Death Valley, under these circumstances, SC would get a nice boost in rankings. Could help come bowl season.See if I were LSU and taking the medium term view on this I'd be annoyed. Granted LSU looks great right now but it's 2016 where they really stand to make a real NC push. I'd rather have the home game next year.I would think the next game in the schedule between them will be in SC as a make-up.USC is playing in the car quest bowl at best (if lucky) so I don't really know why anybody would be too turnt over this. The Commish said:I'd be annoyed if I were USC.

South Carolina stinks this year but LSU hasn't exactly been murdering teams this year. Last week they were in a one score game in the 4th quarter against Eastern Michigan.Lsu is going to murder South Carolina. Doesn't matter if they play on the moon.
USC fans should be happy that this will be another notch in getting spurrier to back out.
Sad but true.Lsu is going to murder South Carolina. Doesn't matter if they play on the moon.
LSU band will learn the USCe fight song and alma mater: https://twitter.com/JacquesDoucet/status/651823400147488769
USCe will be the home team and get all the ticket and concessions revenue and reimburse LSU for its expenses: http://blogs.theadvocate.com/tigertracks/lsu-to-host-south-carolina-game-saturday-kickoff-time-tba/

I can't believe he's been allowed to stay half this long. Bring back the fat man.Is Edsell on his way out??![]()
Sark is probably drunk. Cut him some slack.Fourth down and a foot from the 10, :13 left in the half. USC runs a dive and gets about a yard and the first down, kills :06 of the remaining clock.
If you're going to go for it, why do that?

Yep. Players hate him and so do the boosters. When Under Armour gets antsy, the administration listens. The Commish said:Is Edsell on his way out??![]()
People just completely ignore the USC sanction impact....it's strange. It's not rocket science. When you don't have enough players, you aren't going to be good.USC...wow. Big win for Petersen.
A Night game at the Coliseum is not exactly the most comforting thing to do in one's life.GOB said:Exams tomorrow at USC?
There are like 1000 people there.
I think the other USC is even more annoyed this morning...I'd be annoyed if I were USC.
That's all great, it really is. But this is still what will happen to USC on Saturday.Link
This is pretty cool of LSU:
LSU is taking several steps to make the South Carolina football team and its fans feel at home at Tiger Stadium on Saturday when the Gamecocks travel to Baton Rouge, La.
1. Transportation
LSU will provide the air transportation for the Gamecocks, Steve Spurrier said. LSU actually rents with United Airlines. We go with Delta, but this week were using their charter flight with United. Their people are coming to get us and take us and bring us back and so forth.
2. The band
USCs pep band cant travel to the game due to time and travel challenges involved, so the LSU Tigers Golden Band from Tigerland will fill in. LSUs band will play USCs alma mater, We Hail Thee Carolina, as well as the Gamecocks fight song before the game. (LSU wont play the fight song after a USC score.)
3. Sandstorm
Sandstorm is the modern anthem of the Gamecocks, and LSU will play the sans vocal techno piece on its stadium sound system before the game.
4. Ticket money
All proceeds generated from ticket sales, minus the expenses that LSU incurs for hosting the game, will be given to the USC Athletics Department. USC had expected to make $3.8 million from the game, according to their 2015-16 athletics budget.
5. Fund-raising
The American Red Cross will be collecting monetary donations at the gates of Tiger Stadium on Saturday for the victims of the flooding in South Carolina. Im confident our compassionate LSU fans, who are very familiar with the damage a catastrophic weather event can bring, will respond in a big way to the presence of the Red Cross, LSU Athletics Director Joe Alleva said.
6. Keys to the stadium
The LSU student government will present members of the USC student government with ceremonial keys to Tiger Stadium as part of the pregame festivities.
7. Tailgating
LSU will have a pregame tailgate for LSU and USC fans with free food and non-alcoholic beverages. This takes place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. local time on the LSU Parade Ground.
8. Hype video
South Carolina will wear all white and take the field first as the home team. A Gamecocks intro video will be played on the stadium big screen.
9. Moment of silence
A moment of silence for South Carolina and the states flooding victims will be held with 2:22 to go before the game starts.
10. Billboards
Highway billboards with the words Geaux Gamecocks: We stand STRONG with you! and Geaux Gamecocks: Make yourself at home! have been spotted around Baton Rouge.
Or maybe a little of this. I'll never forget the look on Spurrier's face. Good times. That's all great, it really is. But this is still what will happen to USC on Saturday.Link

Former UC punter might have an axe to grind.
yeah, the sanction excuse is now a little bit exhausted, imo. This USC team was a 17 point favorite last night for a reason. UW was playing a true, 18-year old Freshman QB and had an offensive line with only one upperclassman. Considering USC's recruiting classes are top-10, how is it that sanctions are still holding them back this much?gump said:People just completely ignore the USC sanction impact....it's strange. Sark will get fired because of it...they'll bring in a new coach...and he'll be the savior when the roster is whole again in '17.
I'm looking forward to Dallas, Labor Day Weekend '16.

This was about coaching, or lack thereof. USC had momentum late in the game. They forced a punt by UW deep in their own territory. It was fielded by a USC player who ran 13 yards....THE WRONG WAY! That cannot happen at a critical juncture of the game. And even after they regained momentum with the run game, what did they do in this crucial series? Passed three times and punted. Cody Kessler was a mess all night long. Why they didn't pound the rock with momentum on their side has nothing to do with sanctions and everything to do with being poorly coached and badly prepared.
AND YET..................they STILL had a chance to take the lead in the game. Forcing another UW punt, they got the ball back and started driving. But Kessler again was ineffective and took a sack at the worst time possible. 4th down, in UW territory, potential to convert and keep the drive alive. What does Sark do? Sark lines up for a LONG FG attempt that would NOT take the lead nor even TIE the game. Are you kidding me?
If getting liquored up and slurring your words at an important fundraiser isn't a fireable offense, then this loss most certainly is, IMO. USC was supposed to be unshackled from sanctions by now and they aren't. They are an undisciplined group of talented kids who care only about the NFL and nothing about team performance.
Didn't mean to defend Sark coaching...I'm sure that's a part. But as I've laid out here several times over the past 3 years...USC won't be back to a normal roster until '17. They loaded up prior to the sanctions, so when those ended...the full classes they then were able to sign were replacing full classes that we're graduating. So they needed 4-5 full classes in a row to get back to a normal roster with the usual amount of upperclassmen...which will happen in Fall '17. These top 10 preseason rankings ignore that.yeah, the sanction excuse is now a little bit exhausted, imo. This USC team was a 17 point favorite last night for a reason. Kind of shocking, really. They haven't moved this to JerryWorld yet? Cool
limited conflicting games though. UM/NW then right to TCU/K St then right to the Utah/Cal night cap.Letting the kids have the tv for now though. On paper not a super awesome schedule tomorrow.
who?People still thinking Hackenberg will be a first-round pick is awesome schtick.
Yeah. Texas recovered anyways which they didn't show for several minutes.Gonna be tough to overrule though. That is not a TD
Had to be with the Texas player recovering the fumble - not sure why it even took very longETA - hadn't refreshed the page so missed your post stating the same. I think it would had stood anywayThat is not a TD
Yeah, they didn't show that part of the play until after I posted it.Had to be with the Texas player recovering the fumble - not sure why it even took very longThat is not a TD
We're about halfway through the season. Has Ohio State looked great, or even good, in one game yet?Maryland, don't screw around and not get Edsall fired please
