this is a fun game, and the novelty of seeing both teams in a bowl game together is enjoyable in and of itself. Devine Redding looks like a pretty good back. Both of these programs have stepped up their talent over the past few years.

I'm a UCLA fan, watching this game with other UCLA fans, and we all thought that targeting call at the end of the first half was terrible. That was a clean hit, guy turned his helmet away at the last second. Kicking him out of the game is a travesty. Awful.

The pinstripe bowl has had some fun games in its short history. Put that with a cool looking field, nice looking end zones and its definitely one of the newer bowls that has been a big success.

Also, didn't realize that was Duke's first bowl win since 1961. Happy for Cutcliffe, seems like an A+ guy.

With Reynolds, they did. Between Johnson leaving & Reynolds arriving, there was some doubt in Navy circles whether Coach N (I'm not even going to try) was the right guy. 3 dozen seniors leaving this year, so we'll see what he can do going forward. I always liked him and the fact that he opened up the offense just enough given his talent.

All that said, this is about as good a season as Navy can have. I'm from the area and had family attend, so I'll always root for them. But 11 wins and what Reynolds has done in his career is the peak for Navy football in my many years of watching (I was REALLY young when Staubach was there).

The four greatest Navy football players in my lifetime I can think of are: Staubach, Eddie Myers, Nap McCallum, and Reynolds.
