I'm a donator every year and it looks like it will be more of the same.  I have no clue how to bet the trifecta, but always place and lose it anyway.  So here it goes again.  $1 tri wheel

9, 11, 13 / 5, 8, 9, 11, 13, 17 / 2, 4, 5, 8, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17

Help me out here.  I know this is probably a bad way to go about placing the bet and I'm including too many, but I'm not experienced enough to know what to change or how to fix it.  Any advice is greatly appreciated!   :bag:

One of the guys uses a service and his call for the Derby is 14/10, 13, 17

Derby Day! Going to a friends place with my jockey Halloween outfit to :banned: and get some :moneybag: on the :deadhorse: . I bought a whip too off of Amazon to go with it, and the the suggested items on Amazon are now getting :oldunsure: .

Good luck and thanks for posting your tickets guys

No expert by any stretch, but liking 3, 9, 11, 13 today. Not sure who to ride today and that will depend on if this front comes through. Holding off any bets til then, though those four will probably be in my exacta/trifecta mix today.

Bodie Miller is behind us again today. Haven't seen Lindsay.
She's wearing a cream-colored top slit all the way to her navel and gold pants. Hard to miss.

@chet You sitting in Millionaires Row?

We had tickets there one year for the Derby when we lived there as my Dad's major client was KFC (headquartered there).  Was awesome for celeb watching.

Throwing 50-1 longshot Trojan Nation into exotics. Jockey hopped on him at Wood Memorial and got his best performance in a 2nd place finish.

Plus, I have drew him three out of a possible three times in "pick a horse out of a hat" pools at the party I am at. Betting on fate.

No. We are in 317 on the finish line.

Four out of five hat pulls on Trojan Horse at party now, so I have to bet him now. I'm encouraged because, while he is a 37-1 longshot, he DID finish 2nd at the Wood Memorial and the jockey that rode him there is riding him here. Don't think he will win, but like him enough for exotics.

Also have pulled Nyquist a couple of times. Not overly rah-rah about Nyquist, but I'm a believer in fate and it never hurts to hedge on the favorite, especially if I can get something like 3-1.

Still like Destin if the track is fast, adore Exaggerator if it's rainy. Having seen Destin at Tampa Bay Downs in February, I'm partial to him, but Exagerrator's Santa Anita was drool worthy.

Logic states I should wait until closer to post on Destin/Exaggerator, but the guy taking bets is usually in the tank by post, so not leaving things to chance. Therefore, my bets are:

$2 ACC 1,9,11,13

$2 EX box 1,9,11,13

$2 TRI box 1,9,11,13

I'm hit or miss on these things (usually miss though I was all over Pharoah last year), so sprinkle some grains of salt if you choose to listen to this post. Best of luck!

I just got home and haven't seen any of the earlier races. Anything to be gleaned from the results (i.e. speed bias, success based off of home tracks, etc)?

How much do you guys put in play today?  I'm a total horse racing noob. Just got into it semi serious the past six months but I'm certainly a guppy

The beauty of horse racing is you don't need to go all in to have fun gambling.  Play trifectas and boxed trifectas for 2 bucks a ticket and enjoy (and I'm a complete drunken degen).

So I put in my tickets   If it rains more maybe I'll double back for a saver on Exaggerator.

Anyway

$1 tri box and $1 exacta box 11-13-15-17

$1 tri box and $1 exacta box 4-12-15

$2 ATB on 17

$2 ATB on 15

$60.

No 10 cent superfeca here on derby :hot:
