Didn't the Eagles have this happen to them before? Want to say it was an OG from Cleveland who backed out, re-signed with Cle, than got hurt.

 
Maxwell at the end of the season said his shoulder wasn't that bad and said he's been benching during the off season. He got to Miami and said he can't bench or do push ups

I'm wondering if he's just trying to stick it to the Eagles so he can choose his own team. I don't think they can cut him though? Cap hit would be huge.

Normally I would say that a team got a taste of public perception of a trade, and backed out, but this looks like Maxell wants to not be traded.

I imagine his reception from Philly fans would be fairly pleasant week 1.

I don't believe either team was testing to see fans reaction. They are going to do what they think is best for team. 

IMO fans think they have more power then they really do.

Yeah, Miami just makes the same mistake each year in acquiring expensive veterans in March.  This year is particularly head-scratching because they are letting homegrown talent like Miller and Vernon walk while adding Maxwell and Mario Williams

Tannenbaum likes splashy type moves - that's why he's not fit for the role.

All corners do.  Especially ones playing for 3 million per year.  I'll take McKelvin at his salary over Maxwell at his, any day of the week.  And it seems you're happy he's gone.  So we all win.

So much hype and drama around the situation, turned out to be a non factor after that injury. DH good to see you around these parts, miss the old days with your buddy on the inside.

and it is a little inaccurate to say that Maxwell got burned every game. the first 4 games put such a sour taste in Philly fans it is hard to see past those. The real issue here was the contract

I agree the Sanchize period is over. I hope for his sake he lands in SF.

I wonder how secure Sam's hold on the starting position is with this signing of Daniel. I think it is safe to assume Sam starts the season, but I have to think the leash is much shorter with Daniel behind him. I hope it isn't a flip-flop all year, but might be interesting in camp and pre-season

The #Eagles agreement with safety Rodney McLeod, 5 years, $37M, includes $17M guaranteed. Huge move for Philly.
