Great pick.  Would have like Kamara or Cook there......but Jones is a high first round talent.  Let him sit as long as it takes this year.

Because with a team with so many holes you want guys who impact the game right away. This isn't the NBA and the Sixers here. Plus Achilles aren't guaranteed to come back from 100%. I'd rather take a Wilson, Awuzie, Kamara there instead of a guy who may not even play this year. At 1-2 those guys are expected first day starters. And like I said never got the Jones hype. Watched him play and really didn't see what was so special that jumps out. So I'm asking a legit question here why so many people think he's so good because I really don't see it. 

 
Don't know what to think about that one. really wanted him but thought we could have had him later on. So close on cook.

Yeah dam Minny screwing up our picks. Wonder if trading back and realizing where we are picking now they panicked. Again I don't get the hype with Jones and at the same time it's a huge risk that they better hope pays off. Plus I think with the added Offensive weapons at WR getting Barnett we get a legit go to back and an impact Corner we can compete for the playoffs and probably make it this year. Washington still isn't gonna be great, Dal is gonna decline a bit and won't repeat and NYG is a Dr Jeckyle/Mr Hyde.

Why does it matter if it's day one or day 365?  Maybe loses some experience but then next year we have two first round picks from day one. Teams not winning it all next year so day one is about getting better. Don't have to tank but what's better for them in 2018/2019?  

You can argue Jones might not recover or maybe you never liked the hype but the day one thing means nothing.

I never bought the hype for one and I'm always gushy of recovery of Achilles. Most guys are never the same player after this injury. This isn't like a knee injury you can comeback from. This a serious tendon. The take an injured guy because we aren't doing anything this year is dumb and just goes to show how soft this city got mentality wise with the whole tanking with the Sixers. It's a typical sixers type move. I want guys who can start now so we know what we have. It's why I was so against resigning Vick awhile back when we had Foles. Let Vick go and let Foles play so you know what you had in Foles 

 
I am also a bit wary of an achilles' injury.  I'm not sure that I like the risk that high.  But obviously you are getting a top-15 talent.

I think I mostly dislike it because I am so desperate to have any competent CB on the roster who can actually play this year.

I hate it for that reason but also I never bought his hype. I just don't see what's so special in the guy. I guess it doesn't drop like it does to others that skillset however we all know we can all be wrong and no one knows these guys for sure. My other problem is there were good to really good CBs still left with clean bills of health to take and play this year. Now if we used one of our 4ths or a 5th on Jones i'd have been more fine on it. But a 2d that high I'm not as happy. If this was Andy Reid era Eagles the fanbase would be up in arms over this pick. We've lost our Mojo IMHO and fell into a Sixers mindset.

I know it's a different sport but even after coming back KB21 only managed 6 games for the Lackers before he was out again.

And Insane might want to change the title to something more appropriate. Too many people here will associate that meaning with that little cry baby who plays for the Penguins. 

 
Watching the Bulls game and Mitch Trubinsky was there and they introduced him and he got booed. Most of Chicago hates the pick, My Cousin's father in Law was on suicide watch I think. 

 
Ugh Cowboys get a steal.  And our other rb is gone.  Saints took another rb?   We need to trade for Mark Ingram immediately.  Then draft a healthy cb in round 3.
