***Official 2018 FBG T-shirt Exchange - 2018 is Complete*** (1 Viewer)

Wearing my "Bloodydecks" T shirt I got from Bananafish.  Wore the "Seal Beach" shirt yesterday.   You would think I had no other clothes.  Good stuff-thanks again!

@orcinus...package arrived late yesterday, and quite the haul it is:

T-shirts: http://i488.photobucket.com/albums/rr242/pnotar/20180904_185604.jpg (have to update Kutta's list from XL to L (though...alas...these may fit)

Beers #1: http://i488.photobucket.com/albums/rr242/pnotar/20180904_185729.jpg

Beer/Sauce: http://i488.photobucket.com/albums/rr242/pnotar/20180904_185745.jpg

Miscellaneous: http://i488.photobucket.com/albums/rr242/pnotar/20180904_185817.jpg

Familiar with some of the items in the final picture, but you shared there were some stories to go along with them, so share with the group so all are in the know.  Thanks again!!
Adding some of the color orcinus provided to me:

Shirts - Oddly enough, the shirts this year proved to be a bit of a goose chase. We have a handful of local breweries here; however, few seem to carry any shirt inventory on a regular basis. Of the three breweries that have shirts I'd actually consider wearing, two were completely out of XL sizes for nearly a month, and the third had only black versions. Since I know you stated a preference for non-black shirts, I opted to go non-beer this time around.

While there are Bass Pro Shops across the country (I checked to see you have one in Atlantic City), Springfield is the original and national headquarters. Not sure if you’re a fishing or outdoor enthusiast, but if you are … that one’s something not everyone will have up in your neck of the woods.

The second shirt is from a local high school in the area and located near my office. Nixa is the home of the Jason Borne character, and the school is one of the few in the state to have an officially licensed merchandise agreement and contract with Under Armor. Two years back, the school sued its own booster club for not going through proper channels.

Beers - The four selections are from Mother’s Brewing here in town, a brewery with a huge lawn, patio and playground out back behind its taproom that hosts all sorts of indy music festivals during the spring and summer weekends.

Sauce - While Rufus Teague is bottled a couple hours away, it’s a solid KC-style spicy BBQ sauce that’s won a host of awards over the years.

Cards - You wouldn’t think a mere convenience store chain manages to move the amount of merch that this one does, but I guess sometimes it’s all in the name … right? The regional chain is headquartered in Iowa, and I can still remember the first store in Springfield years ago being picketed by the Assemblies of God church (also national headquarters). Springfield isn’t merely located in the Bible Belt, after all, it’s the buckle.

Football & Chips - Among other things, my marketing company deals in all sorts of advertising promotionals, so I always try and include something just in case a recipient has any kids. A couple years ago, someone threw a bunch of loose change in my box to make sure the box rattled as if something was broken inside. I’m a sucker for dumb Dad joke moves, so I threw a handful of poker chips in to follow suit. If nothing else, I’m sure they garnered a WTF response.

the Koozie - Brown Derby is a local liquor store chain founded by the father of Johnny Morris (Bass Pro fame). Morris used to sell fishing lures on one wall of the liquor store, which is how Bass Pro was started. Many years later, Springfield is a city where it's said no matter where you are in the city, you're less than a mile away from three things at all times.

1 - A Chinese restaurant serving cashew chicken (founded in the Ozarks)
2 - A church

3 - A Brown Derby liquor store

Sorry everything took so long to send. Between simple procrastination, failed shopping excursions and getting locked out of the forum for over a month, this package didn’t exactly come together overnight. Hope you like the shirts and beers … and at least find some use for the rest of the stuff!

This is my neck of the woods and orcinus is dead accurate on all of this.  (I sent a Bass Pro shirt and Mother's beer as well to my stalkee)

@orcinus - One of my favorite spots to hit for the exchange is also Five Pound Apparel downtown.  They have great Springfield and MO themed shirts.

I'm wearing my new Sun King Brewery shirt today, with fitted jeans, white Converse, and stainless steel chronograph watch. I expect to draw admiring looks and sexy glances as I go about my day. I feel like an offdee 9, but any probably really a 7 at best.

drank my "Hell or High Watermellon"  beer yesterday while wearing my new "John Wayne Airport" T shirt.  Felt kind of studly.

kudos to bananafish.

@hagmania - You should be getting your second package this week. It took longer than expected for a company to print the shirt. I didn't realize I was not just going to a site an having them pull one off the shelves. Enjoy!

@The Gator had you and he marked the package as "sent" in the spreadsheet.

Gator, did you send the package and did you see that it was delivered?

Headed for that place with original Frisbees, newqular subs, absolutely the best food invention ever the burger, lots of Pez's and an affinity for spermy type whales

Is this the last one?

Received a package yesterday from my stalker. No note, but thanks for the goodies. Will post a pick of the haul as soon as I can.

Also curious as to what is in the ball jar.

I received my package from Irishidiot last week (I think), but we're in the middle of a move a with boxes everywhere and my daughter didn't tell me that something had arrived for me. I'll post pics tonight when I get home.

My shipment is headed out to a big body of water today.
I'm a tremendous slacker and forgot which box the shipment got put in, but am finally posting pics:

Thanks again to Irishidiot - the marinade is tasty and the shirt has been a good conversation starter when I wear it and people see the logo.

Thanks for the haul Wrigley!  You definitely set the bar for next year with two great shirts and the additional beverages went down great after moving this past week.  Chicago such a fun city, can't wait to make it back there.  A lot of good times at the pubs.  Sorry for the delay, been busy unpacking.  And yes, thanks for the Smirnoff.

Awesome exchange, thanks for the extras.
You’re been iced Bro

Awesome! Thanks for stepping up!

I was a little late getting my bonus packages out, but they are going out first thing today. That should wrap this thing about up.

Hmmm, seems to be something missing!   There was something wrapped in cardboard in there, no?  @Getzlaf15

Don't throw anything away just yet!
I wasn't here the week it arrived. Been buried all this week at work.  Wife said when she opened it that there was a bottle of some kind of sauce with an expiration date from three months ago. I can't find it anywhere.  I'll ask her about it when she gets home tonight.

ok, she had it stashed in the pantry.  All the other stuff was still in the box.  Exp date is 5/15 LOL.     No need to resend or anything please.  That would cost too much. Appreciate the effort.  Might do a pole to see if I will die or not from using it.

will PM you!

Two packages going out today. @DA RAIDERS and @Rich Conway, be on the lookout!
Package received.  Thanks @kutta !

3 shirts, couple of Army hats, 2 National Guard mini-footballs, National Guard pen, National Guard mini-speaker, Wawa (big in NJ) coffee, and what I assume is rub and sauce from the Sugarpuddin's BBQ joint featured in the included menu.
