Never too early to do that. Or too late.I know. It's early and I guess my ability to express sarcasm isn't up to full speed yet. I just wanted to take the opportunity to insult Ramos.

Mutually assured destruction on that one.Looking at the replay, could they consider Ramos pulling him down and changing it to no goal?
I like how the BBC announcer saw it as a own goal immediately
I actually did tooI like how the BBC announcer saw it as a own goal immediately
The Fox announcer is horrible. It was clearly an own goal, but the announcer was crediting Ramos even after the first replay. Brutal. My son was like "isn't that an own goal?"I like how the BBC announcer saw it as a own goal immediately
I need a bigger TV. Maybe if Uruguay go the distanceI actually did too![]()
Bailed as soon as I saw the commentating team. Telemundo here. The Fox announcer is horrible. It was clearly an own goal, but the announcer was crediting Ramos even after the first replay. Brutal. My son was like "isn't that an own goal?"
And they aren't even as good at it as they used to be.Watching Spain just kick the ball around for 15 minutes at a time is hysterical to me.
I think Spanish teachers around the country need to be using this as a means of motivating their students: "Learn Spanish and you won't have to watch Fox's coverage of the World Cup."Bailed as soon as I saw the commentatting team. Telemundo here.

At 38 years and 352 days Ignashevich becomes the oldest player to score an own goal in World Cup history. Not sure he’ll enjoy his birthday this week.
Watching Spain argue that the arm was in a 'natural position' was pretty hilarious...except that I'm rooting for Spain. Putin didn't even need to bribe FIFA to get that call.Nobody thinks the WASNT a handball, right?
Well then, he should of had Suarez cut his teeth too...I don't know where the Concacaf thing came from but I saw that mentioned too. I think they confused the guy in the VAR booth with the ref.
The ref was Alireza Faghani from Iran. He cut his teeth in the Iranian league and still refs there and has been reffing international, mostly Asia, since 2008.
Not sure another 100 5-yard passes is what they're missing.Spain needs Iniesta out there
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ftlfPb0gyxII know so much of it is their style but Spain always seem to play with such a small amount of urgency. They flushed 35 minutes of that half with the awful to watch "possession with out purpose" tactics.
But Iniesta actually looks to break down a defense with his passes, unlike the rest of the team. Not sure another 100 5-yard passes is what they're missing.
Don't worry. I've all but guaranteed he'll be subbed on and create three goals in the last 25 minutes.Still wondering why Iniesta isn't out there
I really have to let my hatred go here but I can't stand this style :(That attack for a corner might be the first time multiple Spanish players were running hard toward their opponents' goal in 45 minutes.
Exactly. Flopping and lobbying for fouls even has its place when you're an underdog. But when superior teams resort to that or lack of urgency, I hate it.I really have to let my hatred go here but I can't stand this style :(
I can understand when a huge under dog has to park the bus, but I just can't forgive a team that is technically better at every single position on the field that won't have some urgency to score.
Spain has played this game like they are winning 5-0.
When tiki-taka is at its best, the players are probing the defense, trying to find an opening, a seam to get past the next level of the defense. Nobody is running, trying to create space. This just looks like Spain are trying to see if the Russians fall asleep from boredom.I really have to let my hatred go here but I can't stand this style :(

I just screamed at my tv saying "the goal is not 35 yards from the end line!"When tiki-taka is at its best, the players are probing the defense, trying to find an opening, a seam to get past the next level of the defense.
