yeah... I was wondering who was going to take the 5th... Dier? But seriously, why is Dier taking that over Vardy?
London is drowning and I live by the river. There's no future and England's dreaming
Trippier should have taken 2, imo..But seriously, why is Dier taking that over Vardy?
Did you watch Vardy? He was terrible - no confidence out there. But seriously, why is Dier taking that over Vardy?
To give the back page headline writers something to pun with if he missed. But seriously, why is Dier taking that over Vardy?
Well, if they had missed, I would have posted this instead:![]()
well, played.
makes it less funnyWell, if they had missed, I would have posted this instead:
"Its heartbreaking to see those poor faces with no hope" said Vladimir, aged 66"
But this was their best and probably only chance to ever win this darn thing!!makes it less funny
Let's make it tomorrow. He's way too excited for tonight.Pickford might get to touch his first boob tonight.
FixedSpeaking of tomorrow....nothing until Friday? I might have to rewatch Spain/Russia and see if somethingdifferenthappens.
You've got to be kidding. England has some glorious boobs.Only because he's in Russia. None in England worth getting a hold of.
They mean women's.You've got to be kidding. England has some glorious boobs.
If they play like they did today again, maybe we'll get lucky and they won't.I believe England deserved to advance from the group stage and over the 120 minutes today I thought they were the better side so advancing to quarters seems deserved as well.
And while acknowledging that, dead god, if they tried to script an easier passage to the finals, it would be almost impossible to create one better.
A below average group, an average second round opponent missing their best player, and now probably the second weakest quarter final opponent.
I am just having such a hard time getting a read on England. If they play like they did today again, maybe we'll get lucky and they won't.

This tournament so far has been utterly fantastic. Every day has had amazing drama. Even matchups I would have never thought would interest me at all.
Hendo didn't even have a bad pk...just a great save. Placement was great just not enough umph or height.Full replay of PKs
All schtick aside - great reaction from Hendo, at 9:05, when Dier hits the pen. Just pure relief.
Couple of good views of Dier's kick - Ospina comes close, but not close enough to keep it out.
Thats what I was thinking - need to go lower or harder.Hendo didn't even have a bad pk...just a great save. Placement was great just not enough umph or height.
It was the perfect level for a diving keeper. Need to burn the grass or get it up. If the keeper guesses right he’s got a good shot at saving it.Hendo didn't even have a bad pk...just a great save. Placement was great just not enough umph or height.
I'd favor Croatia over England if everything goes to chalk (which is rare this tournament)Betting (SkyBet) Odds:
Brazil: 3/1
France: 4/1
Belgium: 5/1
Uruguay: 16/1
England: 7/2
Croatia: 13/2
Russia: 20/1
Sweden: 22/1
Yeah, I don't think England can counter Croatia's midfield combo. They had a tough time today against Colombia, playing without James.I'd favor Croatia over England if everything goes to chalk (which is rare this tournament)
tbh, I'd put them ahead of Uruguay too. and sweden ahead of russia.I'd favor Croatia over England if everything goes to chalk (which is rare this tournament)
It's tough because Kane is such a great striker that he can get a goal out of almost anything. Croatia should rule the midfield, but needs to be productiveYeah, I don't think England can counter Croatia's midfield combo. They had a tough time today against Colombia, playing without James.
Uruguay is a tricky team and I continue to think they are underrated. A great mix of experience and youth with two great forwards. With a healthy Cavani, they are really hard to beat. Godin doesn't get enough credit either.tbh, I'd put them ahead of Uruguay too. and sweden ahead of russia.
