***OFFICIAL 2018 YANKEE THREAD*** Gleyber Day (1 Viewer)

Another problem wih Yankee Stadium is it became so expensive that people can only afford one game a year. So when they go they want to feel the whole experience. That means seeing the sights of the stadium, walking around taking pics, eating different things, and maybe watching a few innings.
I dunno if I agree with this. The seats around the dugout are obviously crazy expensive, but my seats are $28 face value per ticket. Perfect sightline behind home plate, albeit halfway up the upper deck. But that's not exorbitant.

people who goto one game a year will often splurge on seats. Even the 220 section seats are around $100 each.

Well, if they're going to splurge on seats then they can't really complain about the cost. Pretty much how it works. All I was saying is that it's very possible to go to a game without shooting the locks off the wallet.

Nate Eovaldi had horrible numbers yet keeps the Yankees in almost every game he pitches. You can pretty much predict 5 to 6 innings with 2 to 3 runs allowed every game.

Pretty awesome comeback going on here. Didn't see that oppo power coming from JR! Love how he almost missed not one but TWO bases during the HR trot

I've never seen Sabathia (or pretty much anyone) get that fired up on the mound. Dude is over the edge tonight! Nice to see him pitching well for a change too of course.

By the way...after that display by CC, if Ortiz ever hits another home run off him, Papi pretty much has carte blanche to do whatever he wants on his pimp walk around the bases. I'm talking strutting, bat flipping, banging CC's wife, whatever.

He was doing that a lot in 2009, especially in the playoffs. Been a while though. Good to see a vintage performance from the Big Fella.

Also, #### Ortiz.

Yeah he would pump the fist or yell or something, but that was straight up animalistic.

Anyway bad loss last night. Not that they had a lot of chances or gave it away or anything, but you'd like to see us win the game Dickey starts. Price today probably means it's on Tanaka tomorrow to avoid the sweep against the one team we obviously can ill afford to be swept by...

Yeah I mean if we had lost a few 7-5, 9-6 games, I'd say we got knocked around by a sick offense. But 1 run over the series looked an awful lot like the 2014 Yankees (though I admittedly didn't see Saturday or Sunday's games)

Im actually the opposite. They're offense had been great all year. They just so happened to go in a slump at the wrong time. Their pitching held up and their offense will be fine imo.

I'm a Jays fan, and before last night's game it felt like we had a 10 game lead in the divsion.

Bautista, Encarnacion, and Tulo have hardly been the picture of health over their careers, so in injuries could certainly play a part here. But if Toronto stays healthy this division race is over.

Hell, last night it was Colabello, Smoak and Martin who buried Oakland. And now word out that Sonny Gray is a scratch today, so the Jays may hang another 10 spot. It's about ### #### time the Jays made some moves to get them into contention.

thanks for this

He wasn't alone. I thought we were toast a few days ago. This team just continues to surprise.

Word around the campfire is the Yanks might be interested in Jose Reyes.....to start 2nd base.

I'd welcome it. It sure couldn't hurt. And if (when) he gets hurt, we'll just go back to all-or-nothing Drew.
