Interesting strategy teaming Scherzer with a couple of 4ERA 1.3whip guys. Also, love the mix of old, over the hill hitters coupled with young non prospects without playing time. Team will be preventing me from last all year.Write up of our team, a research project of what you get when you combine the Florida and Alabama public school systems.
1. Scherzer - great pitcher, lots of Ks, probably will blow his shoulder out in May.
2. Freeman - consistent. Seems kind of boring. Not a guy I would have taken but Mr. Roll Tide wanted him.
3. Khris Davis - I didn’t realize he was hurt until just now. That’s fun. I usually try to tank my OBP until after round 3 but here we are.
4. Matt Carpenter - we drafted him for 2B but now he’s playing third so we probably should have just drafted somebody better instead of that positional scarcity shtick. He seems ok.
5. Upton - wasn’t he horrible last year? For a while at least? Why did I team up with this guy.
6. ELOY JIMINEZ - I had never heard of this guy until he appeared next on my cheat sheet. Sure hope he doesn’t stay in the minors long!
7. Kimbrel - we had to draft a closer early since we got sunk in this category last year because half of this league is filled with unemployed losers whose only source of income is generated by opening the yahoo app as soon as a closer gets a torn shoulder muscle and grabbing the backup before somebody else.
8. Villar - he sucks but he can run. Hopefully he grabs a few bats during the .265 times he makes it to base this year.
9. Cano - this was actually a good pick!
10. Robbie Ray - drafted by my co-owner because this is the name of every single person living in Talladega.
11. Incaiarte - I swear to God I thought he was a second baseman until two days after we picked him. No wonder he was still available.
12. Hamels- another good pick! Hopefully he is on PEDs or something and stays strong.
13. Austin Meadows - RAYS UP. It does sound like he’s pretty good.
14. Gregory Polanco - sounds like the name of a 70s tv sitcom star. He’s also hurt.
15. Willie Adames - I have faith.

Yeah, I've been sitting on him for a while. Too late. Oh well....good pick, IMO.16.02 TRE Steven Souza OF ARI
Justin Upton upside/risk, but the 16th round.
Its still way ahead of his ADP, but the of guys that can hit 20 homers and steal 10-15 bases is just about doneso.Yeah, I've been sitting on him for a while. Too late. Oh well....good pick, IMO.
Oh please. He’s had one year that approximates like 8 Upton seasons.16.02 TRE Steven Souza OF ARI

He’s done this [checks stats].....once in his career, he was terrible last year, he then got hurt, and he also sucks. Its still way ahead of his ADP, but the of guys that can hit 20 homers and steal 10-15 bases is just about doneso.
