***OFFICIAL*** 2019 Cakeleeg - Standings update? (1 Viewer)

I'm starting to think I may not get to pick before I go to bed.
That depends. Can you stay up another 6 hours? Because no picks will be made tonight.

I'm headed to bed. If my turn comes up I will pick in the morning.

What are the rules for skipping? Is there a time limit on picks?

Did we ever get a definitive answer on positional eligibility requirements for how many games a player had to play on last year to qualify for that position?

Sorry, was out celebrating annual bank bonus and discovered $2- Prosecco & $5 Wine by the Glass

5.12 - Travis Shaw, 2b, Mil

Got both in dynasty, fare thee well Hiawatha.
I actually like Taillon - you rarely see that kind of consistency in a breakout year - better than my Cy Young winner, Snell, but conventional wisdom had Jameson (as an Irishman, one of my favorite names) as being available on this elbow, so i took a chance to get both.

Sanchez is Tight End Syndrome - you get a big year out of the scarcest position, it patches up a lot of booboos or puts you over the top. Wanted your Vlad or Pickles' Gleyboy, but.....

5.15 Nelson Cruz DH MIN

Hopefully he doesnt pick this year to start showing his age.

6.01 Daniel Murphy 2B COL

Won a batting title in New York. Has hit everywhere he has played. Cant wait to see what he does in Coors Field.

Needed to add some power without hurting my OBP. Cruz and Murphy should fit the bill.

6.04 - Michael Brantley, OF, Costros

@strykerpks @General Malaise @General Murmur of Agreemen

Round 5, I debated Shaw and Albies and really wanted Albies, but after April he was so pedestrian, which spooked me.  I assume he'll get better with the OBP and the speed makes him relevant, but I just couldn't gamble the OBP is real and I liked shaw's flexibility.

Round 6, wanted an arm and 1 stood out, but I just don't draft arms.  Lots of bats I like, especially on the corners, but I've always liked Brantley, until his 2 year death.  Last year was a nice return and I expect in the Astros lineup, his counting stats will improve.  I know the OBP skills are there.

I really like Brantley, but with Kemp and Marisnick stealing PT due to superior defense and Tyler White manning the DH, not to mention Kyle Tucker banging on the door, I'd be afraid of less than 500 ABs.

Stros didn't give Brantley 2/$32 so he could split time with those spare parts.  I figure 650 PAs easily.  Reddick will be more effected by those guys IMO.

Brantley for deGrom might be the best trade I've ever made in my whole stupid life.

Stryker is in charge this round.  What could go wrong?
Everything could go wrong. Gimme like 15 minutes to actually catch up like a somewhat sober person. You on gchat or fb messenger? Gotta get my phone a little later today

Reddick makes 19M and is better at defense. I don't think Brantley can play right.

But honestly, I wish we did not have Reddick, but no one going to come close to taking over his salary. Imo Astros need to dump Reddick and go with Tucker or Straw. I'd love Straw as leadoff.

I came close to taking Brantley and I think he does well, but his defense is somewhat limited and I think that costs him ABs.

6.05 Aaron Hicks OF NY

I think top of the order-ish in a loaded lineup should do goodish. With a bit of speed to boot. I don't know what I'm doing so this could be an awful pick. /reason
