Icing a kicker by calling the TO right before he kicks (so he gets a freebie) is so idiotic.

Just think about it. Tell a golfer they can take two attempts at a shot but tell them they have to pick which one they'd rather use before they take it. They'd almost all pick the 2nd shot. Getting a free practice attempt at it is such an advantage.

It was probably too early, but the general idea is you want to know the result of the 2 point attempt earlier so you know if kicking the FG is a waste or not.
