Official 2022 college football thread: its conference realignment season. (3 Viewers)

Well if Bama would be favored (dont think they would, but let's say they would for argument's sake) we should probably scrap all these games and just call it good!

Would KC be favored against all the NFL teams? Philly or the Bills? We should ask Vegas and just declare the season over with a clear champion!

I don’t even know what you are arguing at this point. Some teams are better than other teams but the other inferior team can still win. Is this breaking news to you or something? Or do you believe every team is equally talented?

Alabama ends up as the best team in the nation
What in the world are you talking about? Discuss Tennessee next.
OMG, what in the world (so dramatic, lofl)??? You know exactly. Bama is the best team in the nation and we've instead got Georgia vs TCU.

Alabama would be favored against any team. Neat system. Some also-ran as a two TD dog? I don't like Bama so whatever, just saying they're better than what we're going to watch.

Still aghast? Hope you get over it!
They're so great they lost to LSU and Tennessee and barely beat Ole Miss, Texas and Texas A&M!

They would be favored against any team in the nation. Fact.

And I'm no Bama homer, whatsoever.
So Vegas chooses the playoff based on talent and point spreads? On-field results don't matter?

How are ticket sales going. Wonder if Georgia fans sit this out for the long trip and what could be seen as an easy gamez, having just done this last year.

Our grumpy Frogfish might be correct that Bama would be favored against most teams. However, if my grandmother had wheels she'd be a wagon.

Being in SoFi vs Pasadena also hurts, but UGA still shows up well I think. LA is a fun trip. We’re forecasting licensed sales as down only slightly from LY if they win.

Curious what the TCU forecast is. Considering they have less alumni than Georgia has on their campus right now, you should put some on TCU ML

TCU is roughly 1/3 the forecast of UGA. Note our forecasts can change pretty quickly for a team with no history in a hot market like this, since we start with historicals but then begin tracking and adjusting thru the night postgame. So that TCU number could end up low IF they actually win.

This whole LSU rumor about a party SECCG weekend is something

I mean even if true, so what? People doing things that have been done for 10,000 years. This kind of stuff went on throughout history. It was normal everyday life in Rome and Greece for the elite. Probably many other cultures too. It probably goes on in NYC every night. If nobody was forced, who gives a crap? Just because the Catholic Church and other religions took the world down an anti-sex movement for 1200 years so they could control the masses doesn't mean it's wrong. Most of the mainstream would simply be jealous.

As if this LSU-Purdue game hasn't been hard enough to watch we now have a Purdue kid down with 6 min. to go in a blowout. They are taking him off immobilized on a stretcher. Both sides should just take a knee the rest of the way.

ETA...he gave a thumbs up on the way out...hopefully it is mostly precautionary.

i just said the same thing; hopefully he turns out ok

Purdue’s performance shows how meaningless some of the conference championship games really are.

On a related note, Big Ten not showing well at all this bowl season.

What even is targeting anymore?

If that isn’t targeting, why don’t they just change it to add next year that helmet to helmet is considered targeting?

Not that they would have beat LSU, but remember, they lost their coach, QB and top 2 pass catchers opted out, one of the top RBs injured... The offense was decimated

And with regard to the second comment, which conference is? B1G is 4-4. Similar to other conferences. I guess the MAC is the best conference in the country since they have the best bowl winning percentage this year, right? True the B1G lost some high profile games which makes it seem worse than it is.

:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

This has been an amazing bowl season for ND fans. We win. Michigan blows it. SC gets upset. It also looks like the top QB in the transfer portal is likely coming as well. 🍀

There's so much talent in Louisiana and especially in the N.O. area. If Tulane ever decided to sell their souls to the devil and turn heel, they could become a powerhouse.
