Can someone explain the throw in rules?
I believe two hands and overhead?
Time limit?
How far can they move/drift?
Also, ball must be thrown neutrally with both hands (if you see side spin it’s likely an illegal throw).

one thing we have talked about in the USMNT thread is that refs and AR seem to rarely call an illegal throw. The way Weston McKennie throws the ball in for the US was 100% an illegal throw when I was a kid but he never gets dinged for it.

Morocco feels like a home team and crowd is really behind them.

Also terrible play by the Portugal goalie. He should have been able to clean that up easily.

IDK, this seems like one of those where there is smoke there is fire situations. Im definitely suspicious that there was some kind of foul play
What would be the motive for murdering him unless it was a random act?

His writing has been very critical of Qatar. And he was forced to change his shirt (rainbow) before entering stadium and he put that up on social media.

The fear is that he embarrassed the Qatari government and they had him killed. Seems very unlikely but that is the theory.

How do they determine who wears white if both teams prefer red/green?

one team is designated the "home team" and one the "away" team. This is done before the tournament starts and before teams are slotted in
Is it done by group or by country? If by country you could easily have 2 “home” teams play each other
It's all done ahead of time. When you look at listed matches, the home team is usually listed in the same position ... either first or second, I'm not sure.
When they determine the groups, they already have plotted out A1 v A2, A3 v A4 and so on, with which is designated as home. For the knockout stage, same thing. They predetermine for the bracket which spots are home all the way through. Regardless of which teams fill those slots.

eta - at least that is the way I understand it.
