I am in the process of sending pairings. The direct message system is pretty crazy - I have to wait over 2 minutes between each message, so this is going to take a while :laugh:

Also, when I send you your pairing, it will be: FBG name, real name, address, t-shirt size, notes.
 
One more note. There are definitely going to be people who get a stalkee they have previously had. We've been doing this for quite a while now, and there's only about 25 of us who do it each year, so there are bound to be crossovers.

I'll do my best to reassign you if I sent you a duplicate, so just let me know. But you may be stuck also.

Alright! Everyone should have a stalkee. If you don't, please let me know.

Let's make the deadline for sending your swag September 28. That should give everyone ample time to pick some things up and get them sent off.

As usual, if you can't send for some reason, please let me know ASAP. We can find someone to send an extra package, but I need to know as soon as possible.
 
Advice from the pros....

Best way to ship cans of adult beverages?
Planning on putting each can in invidual ziploc bags, but wasn't sure what other precautions to take. Plan on shipping via UPS.

I have never had issues with cans... just wrap them in the TShirts. Bottles on the other hand...

I ziplock them like you’re going to and then I use shredded paper as padding

Shredded paper or reuse the paper Amazon uses.

ETA - I ended up using many grocery bags.

Got the shirts done but still haven’t completed the libations. Wanted to ship out today because going out of town for a week, but will have to wait . Should get it out the week of the 15th no problem.
 
So are we supposed to reach out to our stalkee before gathering and sending or should it be a complete surprise? I was going with the latter but after reading some of the above comments, I'm guessing that the former has been the strategy of others.

It’s usually a surprise. Some, including me, reach out when it’s in transit just as a heads up. Reaching out before anything is purchased doesn’t happen.

I think the surprise is ideal but I also get the practical issues that might come up (making sure box isn’t stolen, maybe wanting to be sure about certain preferences, etc.), so I think everyone should just do whatever they are comfortable with

Surprise until it’s in transit is ideal imo in most cases.

i like to let the person know the package is coming and would prefer to know myself, just in case we’re out for a bit.
Plus, my 22yo son might open the box…
 
I want to get one more shirt but it's about an hour drive away from my house. Once I have that, it'll be shipped ASAP.
 
Olive juice and attire acquired, packed with TLC and given to USPS. Tracking says it's on its way to someplace east of the left coastish. Monday delivery

For those who don’t know, my daughter is a St Jude’s patient, she’s there now with her mom for the week, as she will be twice a year for the foreseeable future. Also with the National Guard but let’s not go there. Thing is, she says it’s her favorite place. She gets to do a LOT of stuff as one of their more outgoing, cute, and engaging patients. Things like getting on stage at the Old dominion concert, meeting golfers both in Memphis and Naples, FL; art galas, etc. she was the LSAC kid of the year two years in a row and had stuffed bears sold at National jewelry stores she named and they used her story. The last 3 years she’s hosted a lemonade stand with her friend, started small and raised a couple thousand the first year, $8k last year and just over $14k this year.

I use bubble wrap for bottles and cans.

Most items attained. I want to get a few more.

From Jules: I got the box and SS hooked it up! Everything made it through in one piece, and thanks for all the extra goodies!

I'll upload the pics from his haul as soon as I get them from him. Big shout out from Jules to Simsarge!
 
I’m going to extend the deadline for 2 weeks. We will get the tracking spreadsheet up in the next couple days.

Sorry I haven’t been on top of things here. I think I’ve been home one week in the past month. But - no excuses! Let’s get these packages out the door dammit!
