Just from public perception, if SD can keep it within a touchdown it would be a pretty major upset. If the Pats lose it will be considered one of the bigger upsets in the history of football. So no pressure.I agree that the wind and to a lesser degree the cold helps SD. SD lives off of turnovers and throwing the ball in the cold and wind could easily lead to an INT or two. That combined with a strong SD running game and strong front seven leads me to believe this game will be very close. I don't understand or agree with those predicting a NE blowout. NE 27SD 20I know it is going to be cold. The wind is what will be huge. If it is windy, that definitely gives the Chargers an advantage, as we saw what windy weather did to the Patriots passing game back in the Jets game last month. If it does not affect the Pats passing game, forget about it...the Patriots will win by double digits.

Turner knew they were going to hit the kicker.Well that was an imaginative opening drive by Norv Turner. Run up the gut.Same lame play.Shotgun pass for nothing.PUNT.
I disagree about keeping it close would be a victory...this is the team that took out the Colts! If San Diego can get to the SB from the wildcard spot, through Indianapolis and Foxboro, wow.I disagree about keeping it close would be a victory...this is the team that took out the Colts! Yeah, with a banged up QB and windy weather, it would have been more smart to come out throwing the ball all over the place.Well that was an imaginative opening drive by Norv Turner. Run up the gut.Same lame play.Shotgun pass for nothing.PUNT.

Too bad the Chargers are playing against the Pats...I would cheer for them to see that. Love going for the underdogs! If San Diego can get to the SB from the wildcard spot, through Indianapolis and Foxboro, wow.I disagree about keeping it close would be a victory...this is the team that took out the Colts! No, they said he's out for this series because the injury is flaring up.Nothing about later though.Did they say LT and Turner are alternating series?
I thought that is what they said...also Gates is on the sideline.Did they say LT and Turner are alternating series?

Me too. Except during college BB season, where, as a UNC fan, underdogs annoy me.Why? If they are getting pressure with 4, that means one more guy can stay in pass coverage. If you rush 5 and the Pats block it, Brady WILL find the open receiver.CHargers are getting pressure with 4. I still say they need to add another blitzer.
I think the most overrated part of this Patriots team is their offensive line. I remember someone said in a previous thread that they are the best pass blocking line of all time. Not even close. The fact Matt Lyght was named All Pro was mind boggling to me. So many teams are scared of the Pats passing offense (and rightfully so), they play dime defenses and rush 3-4 players. They need to blitz. Looks like San Diego is listening. These Patriots do not look like The Patriots.
Yes they do and I point to 2 plays on the last drive. Welker caught a 5 yard pass and turned it into 12 yards..exactly what they needed for a first down and Ben Watson caught a ball that would have driven many to go out after 4 or 5 yeards, instead he keeps his feet inbounds and catches the Chargers off gard and turns it into another 3-4 yards to set up a 3rd and 2.These Patriots do not look like The Patriots.
