****Official Black Friday, Cyber Monday and Online deals thread**** (1 Viewer)

Dumb 11th your question but are there any deals on modems? I don't want to keep paying Time Warner for their modem every month. Anything to save some money.

Alright, ordered two of them. They have to be better than a few years old modem. What about a router or is not necessary, per se?
Why two?

Everything about a routher is necessary.

This is the best deal I've seen lately. Use promo code WIFI40 and it's 59.99 free shipping. Mine arrived in three days. It's solid out of the box, but it also supports every type of advanced firmware out there.

It's this $150 router with a T-Mobile interface, which is actually dumbed-down a little for very easy installation and whatever.

Need to buy an xbox one for my son.  Ao far the Sams Club deal of $249 for a bundle with Battlefield 1, 500 GB, and 2 controllers is the best deal I can find.  Any other xbox one bundle deals out there?
Posted this in the Video Game thread:

Some PS4 bundled deals: PS4 Black Friday

And XBOX ONE

The Dell offer for Xbox BF1 bundle plus a controller plus Gears4 for $250 looks like a great deal, if I didn't already have an XBONE I'd picking that up.

Anyone know if the shop at Major League Baseball.com site has done Black Friday/ cyber Monday deals in the past? I'm holding out for some new mets gear for the kid, just don't want to hold out too long.

Also, still looking for a decent Bluetooth speaker in the $50 range for the wife.

I could have sworn you could have gotten a Dualshock 4 controller for $35 last BF. Am I crazy or was it a PS3 Dualshock?

The new system won't be out for the holidays but that will be the one to go with it you are an xbox person.  Also, if you are going with the "s", you'll want the monitor / TV to take advantage of it.
New system?  the Scorpio?  That won't be out til probably late next year and is speculated to be priced at $600-$800... not what he was looking for I don't think.

Lots of people looking at a PS4 bundle.  Is there any rumors about ps5 coming anytime soon?  I havent played video games since ps3.  Decided to get my CFA in 2012, so got rid of it, and just finished the CFA last year so thinking of diving back in.  So buy a ps4, or will it become obsolete in the next year?

Nope PS4 will be around for a few years yet.

Nothing yet, typically the cycle is 6 years before the new system and we are in the middle of year 3.

The old cycles may be going out the window with Microsoft announcing the Scorpio and Sony recently coming out with the PS4 Slim and the PS4 Pro version. The Pro has better/newer hardware and support for 4K video and was just released two weeks ago. Lots of talk that the console makers want to go the way of cellphones and come out with incrementally newer versions every 2-3 years instead of big, giant hardware/platform changes every 6-7 years.

So now that I'm researching a Dot/echo unit, I went over to look at the Nest thermostat and I'm surprised at the amount of negitive reviews.

I thought this thing was bad ###...any 1st hand experience.  I figure this is a "must have" with the echo/dot system.

My kids want an Ipad.  Do they ever go on sale?
Actually, apple announced a Black Friday sale this year, but no details. Best bet is to buy at a retailer (Target, Walmart, etc) as they usually will offer in store gift cards with an apple purchase since apple locks down the pricing so much.

after reading about the dot I am not sure I see what is so great about it.  Someone talk me into it.  Just seems like a oral version of a smart phone/tablet

Looking for a new travel laptop, thinking surface pro.  Any deals?

I'm really tempted to get this. But I'm a bit concerned that it only has 2 HDMI imputs. I have a chromecast, a PS4 and a PS3, so I'd have to swap console cables.
Also, when does the $279.99 sale price expire?

TIA
I set mine up today, can't ask for much more for under 300.  Very pleased.

I use DeWalt at work.

If it's for home and won't be used often/hard you can get any brand you want
I work for DeWalt, in product development. The DeWalt line is meant for pros and "prosumers" that want high quality, long lasting tools. For occasional home use, these tools are probably overkill.  They do work well though, and once you settle on a battery platform (DeWalt 20V or Black and Decker 20V) it's nice to have multiple tools work on the same packs. The DeWalt line is pretty extensive, so the recip saw and impact driver and the hammer drill can all run on the same packs. Thus, you need fewer packs and can simply buy bare tools. The Li-ion packs are a significant portion of the cost of the tools.

I've got the 20v brushless drill & driver set and just learned there's a 20v leaf blower. Pretty glad I saw that before buying the Ego blower.

Could u point me in the right direction?
Punch in "Aokon" and/or "Koolcam" into an Amazon search and see what you get.  I can't remember which one we got, but, the only complaint I have is with battery life and it came with two batteries so I don't see why people pay for upwards of $300 for these things.

Amazon put up their black friday stuff...

Sports Illustrated for 1 year - $5.00.
Picked up two of the 7" tablets for $33.  Our kids each have one (3 & 6) and they work great and are durable in a case.  Figured that having two backups on the cheap couldn't be a bad idea.
