****Official Black Friday, Cyber Monday and Online deals thread**** (1 Viewer)

I've got the 20v brushless drill & driver set and just learned there's a 20v leaf blower. Pretty glad I saw that before buying the Ego blower.
I have that 20v Dewalt Leaf blower. It drains the batteries pretty quick. I think I get about 15 minutes out of one fully charged battery. It works great though. You just need a few batteries charged up if you'll be using it for a while.

I work for DeWalt, in product development. The DeWalt line is meant for pros and "prosumers" that want high quality, long lasting tools. For occasional home use, these tools are probably overkill.  They do work well though, and once you settle on a battery platform (DeWalt 20V or Black and Decker 20V) it's nice to have multiple tools work on the same packs. The DeWalt line is pretty extensive, so the recip saw and impact driver and the hammer drill can all run on the same packs. Thus, you need fewer packs and can simply buy bare tools. The Li-ion packs are a significant portion of the cost of the tools.
$99 seems like a good deal though. But needed to buy screw/drill bits as well apparently.

Yes, it's a great deal. If you need a set, do it.

Prices on on the drill/driver sets seem to be coming down a lot lately. Two years ago, I paid about $160 for the Hitachi drill/driver set, which was at least $40-50 less than comparable Dewalt/Milwaukee/Makita sets at that time.

Without seeing the specifics of that deal, I would want to make sure it comes with 2 batteries (deal that cheap sounds like it might only come with 1). Maybe not a deal breaker if it only comes with 1, but as mentioned, the batteries are the costly part of these things. If there's a comparable deal somewhere (with DeWalt or any of the other solid toolmakers) that includes two batteries, I'd lean that way if you can find a deal. I'm sure it only comes with 1.3 or 1.5 amp hour battery(ies). Bigger batteries are nice, but the little ones are fine for a homeowner. I've got a bunch of bigger batteries for the Hitachi's, but I've also never fully drained the 1.5 battery on a project around the house.

I'm prob getting one b/c it does the things my phone can do ....but I don't want to always have a phone in my hand.
I hear you, for me personally I dont know if I can get used to asking a round object a question and having it give me the answer.  I like to visually see something.

But I can see where folks think this is cool.  To control a bunch of stuff by talking to it.  I guess I am "old school" in some ways and this technology is zipping past me

I have been through 4 cheap cordless drills, on dewalt will last for life.
True, but if you're a typical homeowner it seems like overkill. The drills themselves may last, but the batteries certainly won't. And DeWalt have had complaints in the past about their batteries (mostly NiCad I think). But with battery technology constantly changing, when your battery dies (and not will), it probably makes sense for most owners just to replace the drill with a new one with new battery technology rather than replace the battery. That's assuming you buy a cheaper drill to begin with.

Verizon is redoing their trade in program

Just purchased my son an iPhone 7 traded in his 6.  Net cost...200 bucks

Kindle Fire HD 8 tablet for $59 seems too good to pass up, especially since it seems to be easier to get Google Play Store on there anymore.

Anyone have one?

Two year obligation too?

No contracts anymore. I am doing the 24month pmts but can pay off at any time

They basically gave me 549 for his iPhone 6.   Net cost is 100 but I got the bigger storage

I'm having a real hard time figuring out how to do this online.  I have a S7 which is on the trade in list but they are only giving me a trade in value of $145. I'm using the mobile app.
I'm doing the same.  Keep going all the way through and it says "congratulations this qualifies for additional trade in".

I'm still on the old contract for two more months so I want to make sure if i buy the phone the monthly account charge will drop to $20 a month from $40 in two months.

When you fill out the trade in information it will then apply the promo trade in amount but you have to fill out the trade in portion. Close to last step

This

also, i got on chat and had them walk me through it just to make sure. The chat on the app worked, but was a tad slow

If you are going to get two new phones check out one at a time..... I did both at once and the extra trade in only works on one at a time.

now they are trying to fix it and it's a disaster....

great deal though.... saving $24 a month and get two new phones!

Xbox One Madden 16 Bundle. Shows up as 200 and something. If you're a Prime member and add to cart, when you hit checkout the price goes down to 163 total. The description says used but I'm not totally sure if it is or not. Either way, seems like a really good deal.

That was me recently.  My 20yo DeWalt batteries died, and after pricing them, I ended up getting a new DeWalt Lithium drill/impact set.  It's great, I'm expecting another 20+ years out of this set.

Just ordered one, agree that price is hard to resist. I'm using an old iPad mini that's kinda slow and crashes a lot. But I do use iMessage all the time so I'm not sure if I'll be able to make this a permanent switch. Looking forward to playing around with the kindle anyway.

Oddly enough, I had an iPad Mini that I didn't use much and also was prone to crashing. Just traded it for a laptop that has issues connecting to wifi, but otherwise works.

Some PS4 bundled deals: PS4 Black Friday

And XBOX ONE

The Dell offer for Xbox BF1 bundle plus a controller plus Gears4 for $250 looks like a great deal, if I didn't already have an XBONE I'd picking that up.
This deal lasted for maybe 1 minute.  Unfortunately,  I did not get it.  Now I have to get up early and battle the crowds tomorrow and hope to get lucky.  Crap.

This is I why went with Ridgid power tools. Lifetime warranty including batteries.

I just bought the Space Gray Ipad Air 2 and Otter Box from Best Buy. It was still $125 off and the Otter box was like $25 also.  Thanks, I hope this Air Two is as good as the Mini.
