Great episode last night. I doubt I'd be able to pull off hitting myself in the head with a rock like that. Also: MacDonald (and Mol) - I think Margaret has overtaken Jimmy as the most interesting character.I could probably do without the subplot with Jimmy's wife (unless it'll play into the larger story somehow).I definitely don't see Steve Buschemi supporting actor stereotype in his portrayal of Nucky - he's doing a fantastic, understated job.

My favorite episode so far. Nucky telling Jimmy that his path to freedom was not through the Justice System and we knew Nucky had connections and the witness would soon be dead.Ending scene where Margaret ends up with blood on her new dress was well done.

- I remember hearing "the D'Allesio brothers" before and for awhile I couldn't recall where. Didn't Hyman Roth mention them in GF II during the outdoor scene with the cake in Cuba when he was discussing how his business interests would be divided upon his retirement/death?

- The artist and his wife who were about to have a 3-way with Jimmy's girlfriend before Jimmy showed up: refresh my memory. Jimmy brought her and their boy to him a few episodes back for a family portrait. Didn't Jimmy get mad at the guy for something? I must have been half asleep that night.

- When Jimmy wanted Nucky to state his intentions (to kill the guys who shot his brother), the Sopranos fan in me immediately wondered if Nucky thought Jimmy was wired. Did they even have that technology in 1920? If so, it would have been too bulky to hide under a suit, no?

He played coach Don Hauser, who had sex with Ally, Meadow's 16 year-old soccer teammate.

Margaret and Jimmy are neck and neck each week as the most interesting character for me for a few weeks now. I look forward to this show more than any other currently running at this point.

man, this show is getting good.

the scene last night where agent Van Alden was interrogating Jimmy is one of my favorite scenes so far. both of those guys steal every scene that they're in.

and the scene with Jimmy and Nucky when Jimmy gets back into AC was great, too. Jimmy has so much more confidence than before, and actually used it to impose some conditions on Nucky; Nucky almost seemed surprised that Jimmy was acting with such authority.

The one guy talking about his daughter getting leg braces and Halloran says "Your daughter has polio?" And then when Jimmy is describing Harrows injuries: "And he's still alive?"

Sort of a broken record, but this show keeps outdoing itself. I care about just about every character on the show, and even the ones I don't love on a personal level, I'm still genuinely interested in seeing what happens to them and how it affects everyone else. And they give the precise right amount of screen time to make us want more of the really good ones (Capone) and not be bogged down with the less interesting ones (Harding's mistress).

I don't watch a ton of TV, but I've got to wonder if it's possible that there's another show on that consistently delivers the goods like this one does. The fact that I can't even really come up with a candidate for one of the less interesting characters speaks volumes about how great this show is.

Perhaps the Feds back then weren't paid too well? While he was driving the car he was talking to the snitch about how he eventually wants a house by the water or something of that nature. This episode was really good.

This is a very good point. Had his character just been another sociopath like Tony Soprano, this show would have been less interesting.

You may have heard a reference to the D'Alessio Brothers from the Gambino crime family in the 60s/70s.

As a young hood, the Bilotti brothers came up in the Staten Island-based crew of Gambino crime family capo Michael D'Alessio. Bilotti also spent time as Alexander DeBrizzi's chauffeur and bodyguard. He became a criminal associate of John "Johnny Dee" D'Alessio, brother of Michael, Matthew Cuomo, father of Ralph (Raffie) Cuomo and Joseph Armone. In 1970, D'Alessio recruited Tommy and his older brother Joseph to murder his daughter's boyfriend, Tommy Ernst, but the murder contract was botched and D'Alessio's own daughter who was armed, returned shots at the Bilotti brothers. However, a few months later, Ernst was murdered leaving D'Alessio's Staten Island home. Bilotti had a reputation for being "tough guy," feared by street level thugs on both sides of the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge. Eps 1-4 were about a 6.5-7 in my ratings and every episode since then has been a solid 8.5-10 consistently

So many epic scenes and the actors are amazing, even Bugs Bunny as the Nucky is starting to grow on me.

Gotta say the lesbo wife of photographer is much hotter with no clothes on, with clothes she wouldnt crack the FFA 5 ratings

Glad Lucy is gone, she was really a talentless hack, really took away from the show with all the screentime she was getting previously.

Based on their conversation they were working together and the Commodore was the head guy until some kind of legal trouble where he took the rap so that Nucky could remain behind and in power. Commodore did 5 years and Nucky kicks money up to him like a mob boss.As far as how realistic things are with actual characters such as Lucky and Rothstein, I think they will stay close to the truth and there won't be any big leaps from their realities. They changed Nucky Johnson to Nucky Thompson for the show so that they could take liberties with him, so I feel they will stay close to historically accurate with actual historical figures.

yep, thats why its mega hard to make a good series about actual people who are in constant violent squabbles yet you know the reality about their deaths and all

The thought of seeing him take out one of the brothers makes me giddy. I dig quiet minor characters who professionally kill d-bags without hesitation or emotion. I'm shocked at how great of a character Jimmy has become. I've seen Michael Pitt in stuff before but had no idea he could give the kind of performance he's giving every week. He's fits the Omar mold...the "good" crook. Intelligent, ruthless but not evil, interesting, easy to root for. Kind of describes Tony Soprano too, but I never really thought to compare Tony to Omar.Anyway, great show.
