Yes, Margaret is brutal.
Carmella-ish. Just more annoying.
I don't know what you guys are smoking, but Margaret is awesome. Lucy Danziger: So what's the point?Margaret Schroeder: That maybe your cunny isn't quite the draw you think it is. That's been the best line of the series so far.
Do you like her children? She has two children that need to be properly looked after.
I LOVE THEM

Rothstein and Lanksy have very little name recognition.
I completely disagree with this. Historically speaking they both have great name recognition and when people think 1920s/30s gangsters, Lansky is at the forefront. Rothstein did something quite unique in this country's history, he almost single-handedly fixed the World Series. He's easily one of the most known gamblers ever. If people don't know who Lansky and Rothstein are they don't know the time period. Those same people don't know who Harding or Coolidge are either. F. Scott Fitzgerald doesn't have name recognition? Charles Lindbergh? Dunno. But if you don't know who F. Scott Fitzgerald or Charles Lindberg are you probably never paid attention in school. Doesn't mean those guys don't have name recognition. You are giving way too much credit to the average American, or maybe, too little.
Name recognition and actually knowing details of their lives are different. Many Americans could tell you Harding was a president, but few could tell you about Teapot Dome or the Fordney-McCumber Tariffs. Many are aware F. Scott Fitzgerald was a writer, but they are unlikely to be able to identify the era he wrote in yet alone peg him as the author of the Great Gatsby.

"But what about the children?" (and every variation of that line) is the absolute worst. I want to hit her with a frying pan every time she mentions "the children".

Lol. Beat me to it!

I'm predicting Margaret is going get shanked before season 3 ends.

1. She was willing to testify against Nucky. Strike One!

2. She signed over the land to the church (man the priest is going to get fitted for some cement shoes if he accepts that deed from Margaret). Strike Two!

3. Was unfaithful. Strike Three!

Yeah, I could see that. In that order too. He'll obviously find out about the deed early in Season 3 but Strike Three will be her undoing. He will absolutely rip into her with all her "holier-than-thou" attitude if he finds out. I could see her trying to escape to Brooklyn and getting caught there.

Season 3 talk:
Terence Winters has said season 3 will start more than a year after Jimmy was killed. Wouldn't Nucky have figured out that she signed the deed over by then?

I'm sad to see Jimmy go, I enjoyed his character. Not sad I won't have to watch Jimmy and his mom get it on anymore.
Yeah, this really bummed me out. He was my favorite character and his war buddy was probably my second. I thought their relationship and interaction was well done.

This is where I'm at. I'm really not sure I'm interested enough in the rest of the characters to keep watching, honestly.

We hope you both will at least come back to the thread to complain about the show.

No complaining here. I enjoyed the first couple of season and have no issue with the direction they took from a story telling point of view. Just not sure I am dying to know what happens next to any of the remaining characters any more. sorry that view point bothers you.

I want to see Nucky get got so bad. He and Eli are far and away my least favorite characters. I am sure Eli will get his...sadly,Nucky is unlikely to get what he deserves.

The real life Nucky didnt and he is the face of the show. It just seems really unlikely.

I'm certain the series will be introducing enough new good characters and plotlines to keep this show at the top of television dramas.

I'm guessing Nucky will become much more prominent in the show.

Just watched the entire second season this week, what an amazing season! Watching this one after the other is perfect for this show. The writing could not have been any better

I just watched both seasons in a 2 week span. Awesome. The last episode, especially Jimmy basically saying his goodbyes was great. The look on his war buddies face when he realized jimmy gave his dog tags to his son was finally when I realized that he was walking to his death, and obviously knew it ( went there unarmed).Wishful thinking, but I would love to see his friend take on a more prominent role. He was fantastic, IMO.

So I bought the blu-ray and am finishing up season 1 now. Is season 2 just as incredible?

The last 4-5 episodes of season one are ridiculous.

Beyond psyched for this. Looks like Breaking Bad will conclude its 8th episode just before this and Homeland are starting back up. Thank you TV!
