***Official CFB NCG Thread: Ohio wins; Joe T shamed once again*** (2 Viewers)

The offside penalty brings up and interesting scenario...What if FSU just goes off their nut and just keeps jumping offsides on every snap, so no play is ever run and the clock never starts? Are they forced to forfeit at some point?

This display of suck is saving some NFL GM's his job.
Not sure what game you're watching, almost none of this is his fault unless he's also playing defense and making his RBs fumble.
Most of it isn't his fault but that fumble he had was a real treat of follies.
Yeah but all the trolls ran in here right after the fumble. I think they missed the rest of the game.
Anyone watching this game thinking Mariota has shown more as it translates to the NFL is doing it wrong.... Very wrong.

I don't think there's a contingency in place for a team intentionally getting kicked out of the NCAA.

I was just really engaged in the game until that point.

I'm intrigued by Mariota. He might not have all the traditional skills but if you let him use his skills and run a read option offense, I think he could have success.

And he's certainly missed some throws
So has Mariotta... The Sanchezesque fumble is on him. The int was tipped at the line and still bounced off of the WR's hands. He's def played a pretty decent game.

Regardless of all his stupidity off the field, Winston seems like the ideal teammate on the field. I'm always impressed by his leadership for someone his age.

That was a Sanchez special.

Right up until he gets sandwiched between two NFL defensive linemen, shattering both his legs and all his ribs.

I haven't been overly impressed by either of them. Mariotta is a ridiculous athlete and has had more easy throws.

Maybe he's tipping his hand that he wants to play in NYJ?

As soon as he learns how to pay attention to the play clock, he's going to be pretty good.

I'm not sure about college, but there is a "spirit of the game" rule in the NFL that basically allows the ref to impose penalties at will if they believe a team is violating the spirit of the game. It's like an extreme unsportmanlike conduct penalty. I believe they're allowed to run time off, at their discretion, in the event that something like this were to happen. I can't find it offhand, but I looked this up a year or two ago. I am not sure if there is a similar rule in CFB, but I would have to believe there is.

That would be a fit. Couldn't happen to a better person.

Hypothetical Oregon versus Bama, what's the line?
Oregon the favorite?
Without question. I have no idea if Bama can beat Oregon. Gonna be a huge challenge. If of course we can beat OSU
You said in the other thread you weren't worried about Ohio. Backpedal much?
I'm not worried. But I mean they do have to play the game. The point was, assuming we win, Oregon is gonna be tough.

Oh. Well, that's not nearly as fun.

He probably can't see the damn play clock.
Why, is he blind? If he's blind I retract everything I said. He's playing amazingly for a blind man in the 4th quarter.
