***Official CFB NCG Thread: Ohio wins; Joe T shamed once again*** (2 Viewers)

Might I remind everyone of the last 2 pro-ready FSU first rounders (if we are dogging the Oregon QBs)...

Christian Ponder and EJ Manuel
Neither of those guys won a Heisman trophy or 29 straight games either. Big difference between Winston and those two.

Ponder was the butt of the joke from the opening gun, that was a horrible pick. Manuel is still Incomplete
Yeah...WInston seems much better prepared for the next level if he matures.

And the past player from xxx school always makes me laugh. Similar thing people said about Rodgers and Tedford QBs. Or if people say it about Gordon after Dayne, Ball....at Wisconsin.

Its not to say he is a sure thing...but knocking him because past QBs from that school have not made it is a bit off.

:lmao: stinkston :lmao: That's a future NFL QB? I don't think so. Run around in circles until looking like a complete idiot and fumble the ball away.

Fair enough but this whole 'pro style offense' is irrevelant. You draft skills and tools not proficiency in a certain style in college.Winston has tremendous skill. If he played at Oregon he would be fine in that offense but people would claim the same concerns about him that Mariota has.

Mariota could very easily learn the 'pro game' or could show incapable of it. Who knows. But drafting a guy because of the type of system they played in (or avoiding despite of it) is foolish.

I never said anything about the offense Marriota plays in, the Winston skill set is just better IMO.

Oh how good it feels.

And the whole team contributing. Oregon's defense for real. Hopefully puts the "soft" bull #### to bed once and for all.

Curious to see how Jameis handles himself getting blown out.

Does he completely lose his cool?

Regardless, I've said all season and back to last season, I think he is the best pro prospect coming out... I'd take him over Mariotta all day.
