Don't mess with Texas
As fellow owners we've been patient and deserve our own thread!!!!!

All Aboard!!!

Tex

I'm not sure how patient we were considering this is week 1. Happy that my RB4 now has RB1/2 numbers for the next few weeks? Yes.

Steve, not sure how long you've been around but there are dynasty owners who have been defend him since before hey was drafted.

Again, we've been patient and deserve our thread of glory. We could care less about how long Jax is out, we are not looking back!!

We are looking at an every down back right? Since Spiller can also catch passes. So what will he be? A RB2?
He was top 5 at the end of last year with Jackson out, and yesterday he was the #1 RB. I'd say mid to low RB1 if Jackson misses time.

Grats guys, you rolled a 7, still question redrafters picking him at the price they paid but dyno owners your patience may have finally paid off. Always been a doubter, but after carrying me to the title game last year I saw a different back than I had before. A lot more optimistic than I was when he came to the league.

Jax was in our way, so about the injury but if CJ continues his rampage Jax will be nothing more than our backup guy.

Welcome aboard MAC!! HUCKS if Spiller continues to show what made him so special while at Clemson the roll will be he's to keep!!!

We're riding boys!

On board.

I drafted Spiller in a few leagues given his ability to contribute as a flex play in PPR. I know this is likely bad karma, but I have to say that I honestly couldn't have scripted a better outcome to help my roster overcome the RB2 hole that Ryan Matthews creates being out early in the season.

Hoping he enjoys success as much as I hope Fred Jackson does overcome the sprain effectively, as I respect him highly as a versatile and gifted player, and as a key cog to Buffalo's success (and I do really feel that, not just trying to offset any bad karma engendered by the paragraph above. No, seriously.)

Your right. I wasn't thinking about dynasty. Either way, I'm aboard.

You have "been patient" on what? Hell Fjax was injured in the first game of the season lol.. You think it took skill for Jackson to get hurt and you to get lucky? Anyways yea I have him in one league and view him as a top 12 ppr back until Fjax returns

FJax is 31 1/2 while Spiller's 25, hitting his prime. I think there's a good chance Spiller takes over the main RB role this season (or has already).

I got him for $3 in a keep-3 auction league ($210 cap), hoping he'd be the guy next year, but his emergence much earlier is a welcome occurrence.

It wasn't a redraft comment. Many of us have been patient in dynasty for years, waiting for Spiller to get his chance to start.

Thanks fbomb, you took the words right out of my mouth! Eventhough its been one week, its a welcomed sight to see Spiller explode!!

We've heard he couldn't run between the tackles or carry the load so dont come rain on our parade give us our moment of glory!!!

Want to talk about Jax...start a thread!!! This is the Spiller train and we're enjoying the ride while it lasts!

Own both Freddie and Spiller, so it's mixed emotions for me. Fred is one of my favorite players in the league, and this coming from a Jets fan.

As for Spiller, I'm optimistic but we should make sure he's getting goal line carries before getting too carried away.

When he getting 59 yard TD runs, who cares about the goal line?? :D

So is this a RBBC when Jackson comes back, this year or next? I only have Spiller in 1 league, as a handcuff to Jackson. It's a keeper league though.

Freddy is 31 years old this year... combine that with a fractured leg last year and the knee injury this year??I don't see a RBBC with Jackson..at least not next year.

Spiller is known for his speed and break away abilities like whats already been said we dont care about goal line carries....just carries....

Well, the day has come.

(But wait, I feel like it came last year when he went for 86 carries, 446 yards (5.2 ypc), 3 TD, 24 catches, 187 yards, 2 TD in 6 games, or 14 carries, 74 yards, .5 TD, 4 catches, 32 yards, .33 TD, or 19.6 in PPR leagues.)

Spiller's a cat I drafted high in rookie drafts (behind Dez, but ahead of Mathews), and I can't say that I wasn't a bit nervous about his workload this year. To me, it's never been a question of can he do it if given the opportunity. I expected this season would be Fred early, with Spiller getting nearly 50% of the work come the last 6 games when the Bills really needed to decide if they were going to pick up Fred's contract this off-season.

For nearly three years I've received lowballs offers to deal Spiller as if he was simply a cuff to Fred Jackson, or as if I were an idiot that didn't actually watch football games. But no. I do watch football. And Spiller to me has always appeared to be one the 10 most talented RBs in the game(not just speed, he's got it at the LOS as well).

The reason I speak now is that I understand I won't be able to buy Spiller in the 5% of my leagues where I do not currently own (it wasn't without years of "overpaying" offers, but his owners wouldn't cave with me). I didn't speak earlier as I always hold out hope that, in that 5%, I will be able to get a trade down buying Spiller at even an aggressive RB12 value as compared to the market. It didn't happen and it sure won't now. That's alright, most that know me know that 95% of leagues is solid %.

Folks, this kid is pure pimp, and there are certainly not 5 dynasty RBs I'd rather own in a PPR format. I'm expecting 80 yards rush at just over 5 per, .65 TD, 4.5 catches, 40 yards, .25 TD per week, or 22 PPG in PPR.

Marshall Faulk II

It's Spillers time to shine. RIP Freddie, you got that fat charity contract this offseason, time to retire while you can still walk.

I took this ******* 1.04 in the 2010 Rookie draft. I was knocked out the first round of the playoffs last year - THE WEEK BEFORE HE BLEW UP.

DAMN RIGHT I"M ON BOARD THIS MOTHER ####ING TRAIN!!!

I just ran the numbers on his last 6 games (including last week): 560 rushing, 23 catches, 197 receiving, 6 total TDs

which projects to 16 games: 1,493 rushing, 61 catches, 525 receiving, 16 total TDs

I just fielded a call from the FJax owner trying to get Spiller from me. I think he just wanted to insult me with his lowball offer, but it wouldn't have mattered anyway. I drafted Spiller on purpose and I'm not giving him up for less than top 10 RB value at this point.

Got him in round 8 of a 12 teamer. All aboard and glad to have my RB3 to join my lineup. Being a redraft, I guess 1 week wasn't too long to wait for him. Wish I'd have started him over Jennings, but he seemed the safer choice at the time. No matter how bad Buffalo looked this past Sunday (They aren't as bad as they showed)Spiller again showed what he is capable of. He will be a part of many championship teams this year.

LMAO, bell I hear ya man!! We are not selling him cheap!!! HELL we are not selling him at all this is why wet drafted him!!!!

Time to cash in on our investment!!

I know there's some of you out there lurking, waiting Spiller to fail so you can pop in here and throw water on our party but go away!! We know he won't blow up every week but this is what we've been waiting for CHA CHING!

:goodposting: Us spiller lovers knew he was a stud, now we can reap the rewards. Why would we sell him.Top 10 FF RB with top 5 upside the rest of the way.

I was watching that NYJ vs. CAR preseason game with my friends a little while ago. After Landry knocked Jstew out of the game I muttered "Landry is going to single-handily ruin so many FF seasons this year". Choo mother ####### choo.
