I never knew what a bottle episode was until about two weeks ago after finishing up the Breaking Bad series and readin Sepinwall's review of the episode "Fly." Good timing.

Curious to hear the FFA's thoughts on last night's episode.

I loved it, but I was really really high, so I'm probably not the best judge.

I thought it was totally super awesome... and I was mostly sober at that point!

My fn DVR cut off part of the credits scene though :fishing:

The plot synopsis of the episode tonight according to NBC:

The crew takes a bumpy ride down memory lane when they find items stolen by Annie's Boobs.
Sounds like a must-watch episode. Just wanted to pass this information on.

Alison Brie .... Good God! She needs to do more episodes in fishnets and no pants.

I do believe in god. Holy lord thank you for Alison Brie. Slow motion. Every frame. I don't care how pathetic it sounds. It was that great. I'm breaking up with my girlfriend tomorrow and when she asks why, I'm showing her that scene in slow motion.

Can we get a seperate thread with some gifs(I'm tech challenged). The FFA needs to see the greatness.

You're Welcome

This show is actually gaining ground on my namesake's show for cleverest all-time. Love that Troy was dressed like the sheriff from Blazing Saddles.

Community not getting a best comedy series nomination shows how worthless the Emmys are. Of the shows nominated, only Parks & Rec was as consistently funny this year (although I plead ignorance on "Big Bang Theory"; just making that statement based on its suckitude whenever I've watched in previous years).

This week at the The Onion AV Club: Dan Harmon talking about every episode of Season 2.

Part 1

Part 2

Parts 3 and 4 coming later this week.

Jesus, this show is so great.
If you're a fan of the show and haven't read the above linked article, I strongly recommend that you do so. Very interesting article, I'm really looking forward to the DVD release so I can hear Harmon's commentary.

Good opening episode. Not too thrilled that they have to reinventing Chang to find a reason to keep him on the show, but outside of that, great.

has anyone seen a GIF of Alison Bree during the intro song? You know the part I mean ;)

ETA: I should have known to check WarmingGlowfirst :bag:

Pretty disappointed with the first two episodes. But the show has always been hit-or-miss for me. I think that at least when it misses, it misses the right way: by being a bit too risky or conceptual. I respect that.

it hit greatness tonight.Troy's cigarettes.Indiana Jones.Roxanne.no Chang.
It's the best show on TV because of episodes like last night. Can't do that every week, but 5-6 of them a season mixed in with the conventional episodes is more than enough for me.

Has there been an official decision on Gillian JAcobs v. Allison Brie?

Brie better rack, but I think Jacobs has her in the face category.

Other moments I loved from last night . . .

Shirley's apron.

"It's a fancy party, Britta."; "It FEELS FUN!"; "I demand to housewarmed." (or pretty much anything Troy says).

Britta's pizza dance (and the way it should have clued us in to what she was doing in the bathroom).

That the one timeline where Pierce DIDN'T tell his Eartha Kitt story was when the timeline where he got the appropriate setup line.

That in the dark, evil timeline Britta is still just a poser with a blue streak in her hair. (BTW, best tag since the bibliotheque rap, and I fully expect evil Troy and evil Abed to make some appearance in this season's Modern Warfare installment).

That the show actually had heart and setup the (presumably) season long arc showing that Jeff is toxic to the group.
