and I certainly hope karma shows up to b-tt--ck Favre and Childress next week for running up the score today
It was a great year and a lot to be happy about. Obviously no one is happy right now and is quick to figure out where to place the blame. To me that's not important, later I'll post my off-season hopes. For now...I have one great memory of this year. That is my four year old son becoming a fan of the Cowboys. Wearing the Cowboys hat, rooting for the Cowboys and spending time with his Dad watching some Football. There is nothing better then that and I'm thankful for it.
Thanks Cowboys.
Great posting. I too have a 4 year old son and I can say he enjoyed watching the Cowboys too. He woke up from his nap at 1:15 and came downstairs to watch the game and asked if Tony Romo was on. He then asked if Dallas was winning and I said no son, they're losing 7-0. The look on his face after that broke my heart but it makes those future wins that they'll have all that much sweeter.I agree never had I enjoyed watching football more than these past few months watching the Cowboys games with my 2 year old daughter whom loves to watch and actually gets very upset if we try to change the TV. Today I found out my 11 year old daughter has a crush on Miles Austin![]()
All in all the Cowboys did better than I thought they would do this season. Especially after the struggles they had at times.
What's wrong with that?Today I found out my 11 year old daughter has a crush on Miles Austin![]()
Guess we found out how the Cowboys responded when playing from behind.Who is to say they would have been behind. The Philly offense did nothing all day but one play period. Dallas would have won this game easily if that was a pick or not. To say otherwise is just not watching the last month of football. This team is not folding they just keep playing and have confidence. Dallas O this Philly defense could not stop them.I disagree here - with the Cowboys recent struggles in the playoffs I could see how that play could have changed the game mentally for the Cowboys. It was a fair point to make considering what has happened in the past - I will be very interested to see how this Cowboys team responds to being behind in a game.LOL at ESPN saying the almost INT that Philly had could have saved the game for the Cowboys. Not the fact that Dallas dominated this team the whole game. It is just funny as hell. These teams in the end are not even close period and one little INT was not the game changer LOL.BYE PHILLY GO HOME.On to Minny.

I was thinking after how I think karma shows up eventually for Farve because I just feel like he's tried to stick it to the Packers by joining the Vikings even though he knows it's like getting a divorce and marrying your ex wife's sister. I really thought the Cowboys would win today. I was really surprised at how many 3rd and long situations we were put in.There's only 1 game that really reminded of this season and that was the Green Bay game. Green Bay consistantly put pressure on Romo that game, just like Minnesota did today.Urinal Mint said:and I certainly hope karma shows up to b-tt--ck Favre and Childress next week for running up the score today
They say ignorance is bliss. Well? How to make Cowboy humble pieAdd a little Tony Romo, not to much or you will "choke"One pinch Wade Phillips, only one pinch as he has only won one playoff gameAdd a place kicker that the Redskins cut for sour taste Add two cups or so of Roy Williams, feel free to add a whole lot more if you want him to show up Wrap in Jerry Jones age less pie crustBake in the oven for only 30 minutes as the heat is on in Big D
Big mistake to think that. Nobody runs that division. And with Shanahan in Washington it just got tougher. You're not in the NFC West.Hey guys a decent season that we can build on. One thing I took out of this year was that we run this division now. This team will be strong next season and Philly is a distant second and declining along with the G-men. We should build off of this season and be able to get a bye week for the playoffs next year. So while we did not get the prize and we as Cowboys fans know that is all that will make us happy we did improve and can build for an even stronger year next season.
Be proud and stand tall, Dallas will be a strong contender next season.
Agreed. We have not had any consistent performances against the NYG recently. We beat Philly 3 times this year so I'm sure they will be retooling with Dallas in mind. WAS has nowhere to go but up. Not saying we can't contend for and win the division again but it is no slam dunk by any means.Big mistake to think that. Nobody runs that division. Good season for the Cowboys, and yes, at the end, they were the best team in the division. However, to say that both the Eagles and Giants are in decline is a little foolish. The Eagles entered the season with the 2nd youngest roster in the NFL and had 8 players on injured reserve when they played the Cowboys in the playoffs (the Cowboys had nobody on IR). For the mess of a defense that the Giants had, they still managed to beat the Cowboys twice this year. They have a proven coach who has taken two different teams to conference championship games. For all Romo's improvement this year (and there was alot of improvement), yesterday's game showed that he still does not make really good decisions when under pressure. If the Cowboys have any injuries along the offensive line next year, and the law of averages says they will, then Romo will probably have more pressure on him and he may not play as well next year.If the Eagles and Giants can address some of their defensive deficiencies in the off-season then I think the division is wide open next year.Hey guys a decent season that we can build on. Philly needs to address Mcnabb his best days are behind him and as long as they hold on to him they will not get anywhere. Mcnabb was a good QB but he is on the decline. G-Men they have a ton of problems I do not see them just fixing all of them in one off season. Dallas has problems as well but the key parts of the team are set and some tweaking they will be a strong contender for it all once again. After this late season run they now know who they are and will not have to be searching for 13 games next season to find themselves. They know now and I think that is worth a 2 game improvement and a bye week. I have my first(& last!) baby on the way, and am so looking forward to times like those! It's nice to win the Superbowl, but the bonding times like that are worth more.It was a great year and a lot to be happy about. Look, I am not arguing that McNabb is not the answer for the Eagles at this point in his career. I agree that unless the Eagles defense becomes dominant again like 2002-2003, the Eagles will not go anywhere in the playoffs with McNabb at QB.However, I think there is a fairly good chance that Kevin Kolb becomes that Eagles QB in 2010, and Reid goes to a more traditional west coast offense the way he did with Jeff Garcia when he filled in for McNabb in 2006. The Eagles offense will be much more balanced which will make them more effective. For the Eagles to have set a team scoring record in 2009 even with the shutout in their last game and having the turnover and injuries on the offensive line that they did is amazing.I liken the Eagles offense without McNabb to the Dallas offense without T.O.. On the surface it appears weaker, but by becoming more balanced, it will be more effective.Dallas will be good next year, no question. But I think the Eagles will be good as well, and I don't dismiss the Giants easily (as much as I would like to).Mustang Man said:Philly needs to address Mcnabb his best days are behind him and as long as they hold on to him they will not get anywhere. The OL is to blame here if anyone is. The 4th and less than 1 call is evidence Wade doesn't have what it takes to compete at the highest levels it took a perfect storm just to beat a hapless philly team twice and get his first win. Problem is there's not a ready-made replacement so it's gonna be at least another year or two with him around. This uncapped year thing is going to be a real headache to keep up with. I haven't even begun to really digest what it even means.Urinal Mint said:Not going for it on 4th-and-inches from the 30 is inexcusable. That one's on Wade. Not cooking up some quick-hitters for slow down the pass rush is on Garrett. Rocket pitch to Barber? What a joke.Garrett is very clever, but he certainly has more gaffes than you'd want your OC to have.
They are undersized. They shut down most everyone but SD and MIN this year and they happen to have the biggest WRs.The Cowboys have had unresolved problems with their secondary for years. It was the one thing that really worried me before the game yesterday.A better OL would help, too.

The Cowboys have one pick in every round (starting with the 27th pick in the 1st) except the 5th round.Does anyone have a breakdown on our picks for the draft, round by round? TIA.
They may be a touch undersized, but they did hold SD to their season low points prior to the game a couple days ago. And most of Minny's TDs had nothing to do with being tall or short. It was turning around and looking for the ball. The OL is what it is. They are well above average. But not elite. They can handle 2/3 to 3/4 of the other teams in the league. But the top D's give them trouble. The reality is that there are at probably 20+ teams that would love the Dallas OL. And only a handful that are materially better. Can they use upgrades? Absolutely. They need youth. Free is a keeper. They need more here. Early and often draft picks are likely to be made for the OL.They are undersized.
