*** Official Detroit Tigers Bandwagon *** (2 Viewers)

Still early, but to be just a half game out of first and a game and a half up in the wild card is something for a team that hasn't had a winning season in 13 years.

Tigers sweep the Indians for the first time in the Jake's history. Tied for first now.

Damn I'm pleased.
 Mother's Day and on top of the division. Not bad considering NO ONE gave them a chance.

As much as I hate the Indians the weekend was even sweeter. But if I were an Indians fan I wouldn't be all that worried. It's a young team that is gonna be streaky. At the season's outset I thought you guys were a bit overrated because I don't think a lot of your pitching, but they will still be in the wildcard race because of their young bats.

But I do hope I'm wrong. :D

I love Owning the twins this year.

the schedule gets tough coming up though : NYY,BoSox,Cleve around mem.day weekend.
That's OK ...bring it on! I still love the fact that the starting pitchers are only throwing 75-85 pitches. These guys should be able to keep going as the season wears on.

Brandon Inge and Placido Polanco homered and the Detroit Tigers won their seventh straight game, beating the Minnesota Twins 5-3 Thursday for their longest winning streak since 1993.

Unbeeleebable. I honestly haven't been this pleasantly surprised since I came home from work in 1995 and this hot chick I hadn't seen in years had come in through the window and was laying naked on my kitchen table.

If the Tigers can get through this stretch at .500, i'll be a believer that they can actually make the playoffs.

Agreed..........that's a hell of a schedule. The Tigers just need to go into it with a great attitude and not put pressure on themselves. All the cliches, take one game at a time etc.....

This weekend v. Cinn should be a good test as well.

Great play by the Tigers...best record in MLB, and good timing with the White Sox scuffling a bit on their last road trip (only 3-4 vs. TB/Min)...This is a brutual stretch coming up, we'll see how good the Tigers are!

They also host KC for a 4 game set next week. KC typically has given Detroit major trouble the last few years. Hopefully they can get at least 3 of 4.

What a great game. Griffey with the slam on a 100 MPH fastball and Granderson with the 2 out HR to tie in the botom of the ninth.

Nobody out runners at second and third and Robertson set them down. No score through 6 and a half. This has been a good series.
