*** Official Detroit Tigers Bandwagon *** (2 Viewers)

Is he drunk in the booth again? At least Texas helped out by taking out the Sox tonight. Not much consolation after watching the train wreck that is Todd Jones.

The problem with Jones is that you cant really do anything, BUT keep trotting him out there. Any other spot in the rotation, and he will probably fare WORSE. And can you just release or re-assign a 6 Million dollar a year guy?

I'd love to see Rodeny get the ninth and Zumaya in the 7+/8th, but I fear it will be a few more weeks before we get it.

Was at the game last night, and the people I was with made us leave after the 10th. :wall:

Anyone know the reason for this:

After the game, the Tigers designated reliever Bobby Seay for assignment and called up pitcher Wil Ledezma from Triple-A Toledo

Just a hunch, but I'm guessing:

They called up Ledezma because of interleague play. He can relieve for 3-4 innings if the Tigers send up a pinch hitter in the 4-5th inning for the pitcher.

I'd rather eat $6 million than screw the team out of a potential playoff run.

I tend to agree, but I just dont see it happening.Edit to add: This means you are paying 2 closers 12 million dollars this year NOT TO PITCH.

The frustrating part is that every other pitcher on the team has been pitching brilliantly lately. Near perfect performance by Miner/Ledezma/Rodney today  :banned:

ETA: It's hard to read, but suffice it to say that 5 losses and a 7.27 ERA out of your closer is pretty ####ty!

Nice work by Miner today. Solid game.

The local radio has been going nuts that they need to pick up another pitcher because Miner might not be ready. Since when do you worry about your fifth starter. SP is the least of their worries right now. Not to mention that Maroth may be back in time for any playoff races.

I love the Ledezma move and hope they keep him up after the inter-league games. He has more upside than Seay and can give some quality innings of relief or even be a spot starter in needed. Anybody know the TV schedule this weekend? Friday afternoon on WGN? Need to know what channel to put the TVs on at work.

Tjones has got to go.

Plus he's got that johnny cakes mustache going on.

I'm guesing Thames starts in Left for Monroe in the NL games until Craig is fully heathly.

Tiger Baseball talk in June, wtf???

Thanks!! The plasmas at work will be full of Tiger baseball all weekend!!

5-2 in the 8th... do they dare bring in RollerCoaster Jones?
 please let nate go 9
If Nate gets through the 8th, I'll bet Jones will come in... a 3 run cushion may allow him to get his 'confidence' back  ETA: Walker starting the 8th...

Under the plan, the playing field would be used for Little League games, concerts and other community events. The dugouts and a few other parts of the stadium would be saved
 Full StoryIt's time. I think its great we will keep a little bit of the great history and let this old man finally rest in peace. Where everyone will stop to by crack and pee, I don't know. Maybe somewhere in the Cass Corridor? I'll scout spots next time I'm in town.

If only they could move the team to Wrigley...or play the Cubs every game.

6-0 already with 1 out in the 1st against Prior

Prior has nothing but heat today. Tigers are teeing off on it. 40 pitches for him in the first inning! Love to get that Cub bullpen in their early. Get Kenny his 200th win.

Do the Tigers play anyone good anytime soon? :P
Looking through their schedule it appears that there is going to be a stretch in August that should give a pretty good indication of whether or not they are going to make the playoffs...@Chicago, @Boston, Texas, Chicago, @Cleveland, @ NYY

Did the guy who is doing "take me out to the ballgame" at Wrigley just say "#####es"? On Father's Day? Classy Chicago guy.

I don't know but on the radio it sure sounded to me like there were people "root, root, rooting for the Tiiigers" than there were for the cubbies.

I like that as a White Sox fan you seem pretty worried since you spend much of your day over here.
