Ugh, a triple by the 8 hitter
Not a good outing by KR though. Hope it's not the start of a second half decline as I still want the Tigers to take the Central.
Yeah he's not been very good lately. I'm just hoping he is going to get through it. Tigers might go to a six man rotation pretty soon which may help a bit.
With who? Maroth, Sanchez or Tata?
Maroth or Sanchez. Looks like Maroth will get a shot in a week or two first.

Cycle for Guillen tonight. Pretty cool, too, because he got the double in his last at-bat on a soft liner to right center. No chance he tries for a double if he didn't need it.

Bump

even though we are losing to the tribe.

i wanted to let you out of towners know that the Tigers signed first round draft pick Andrew "Dr. Destroyer" Miller to a four year deal.

Lucky enough to see Monroe's heroics in person again last night. We were out in left by the Tigers bullpen and the charge that went through that place when he hit the bomb was simply incredible. I was momentarily delirious. I didn't think I could get more excited than I did when he hit the slam against the Sox but for some reason last night's shot was even better :banned:

Saw him pitch in the college world series. Lots of upside for a guy who looks like a less ugly version of Randy Johnson. I hear he may have a fast track to the big leagues.

There's big trouble a brewin' for the Tigers

Verlander skipped for his start this weekend and is now past, or rapidly approaching the most innings he's pitched in a season
Like clockwork, its post All Star Break and Kenny Rogers sucks again
Bonderman's looking human and starting to fall off right about the same time he did last yearThat offense better keep putting up crooked numbers

-He threw a one hitter through seven against the Twins last Sunday. -We know about Verlander, it's called strategy.

-White Sucks still way off the pace and barely hanging on. Wouldn't that be embarrassing? gllllllllllllllllll with that.

ETA: Rogers 7 IP 3 R and 4 hits. That doesn't suck at all and the Indians are 4th in the AL in hitting. Huh.

Imagine how much you'll hate them when you're back to looking up in the standing mid September

:lmao: Same thing with the Sucks last year. Never should have beaten the Red Sucks and really had a fortunate season. Kind of strange on the other side of it isn't it? I thought a Sucks fan would be used to it but I guess not. Also thanks for the quote. Saved. :thumbup:ETA: Guess you took it back. Huh.

I thought so a few weeks ago but now I'm not so sure. Take a look in this thread because I've said all along the Sucks are the team to beat. I was even called names for saying the Sucks were better than the Twins. I hope the Twins get the wildcard but if it's between the Sucks and those teams in the east I'm rooting for the Sucks. First time for everything.

I just got home from the game, I took my wife and 2 daughters. Comerica Park was hopping all night, but the last HR the emotion and sheer volume of noise was incredible! It was a New Years eve type of atmosphere. All around downtown Detroit was complete joy. It is a great thing for the city.

Comerica is a great place to watch a game, when it is sold out and vibrant it is amazing.

HOW BOUT DEM TIGERS!!

Now that you've explained why so eloquently I'll just admit defeat and say that you're right and it won't happen

Got my dad tickets to today's game for Father's Day.

Hopefully the kids'll use the bats as brooms.

I wish we were seein Verlander though

I like how Leyland is giving guys like Grilli chances to pitch in important spots. Don't like how a few like Grilli aren't responding. Bullpen goes to Zumaya, Rodney, Walker, and Jones when it counts. Maroth or Robertson as long relief options.

OBTW: Jamie Walker AGAIN= :moneybag:

If the Tigers go .500 the rest of the way, they'll win 100 games. Of course, there's nothing to suggest they'll only go .500 the rest of the way. That means the Sox have to go at least 35-19 just to catch them.Is it possible the Sox could catch the Tigers? Yes.Is it likely? Certainly not.6-3 TOR over CHISOX as we speak.

Gotta agree with Limp Ditka after today's game. Tigers start their #7 starter, bring in the worst guy on the staff, and get another shutout against the 4th best offense in the AL. I'm worried about the pitching.

Nice sweep. Best record at this point in the season in FRANCHISE HISTORY. Just incredible.

Ahem

The Tigers need to lose 39 straight games to be at .500

Let me paint a picture. Old dude manager comes back. People make fun of him. He has a very young pitching staff and Pudge as his catcher. They win the world series.

Wash Rinse Repeat.

Bandwagon....SAY IT...I dare you.

I paid 5 times to see them in 2003. I remeber EXACTLY where I was when they won the last game of the year and avoided 120. I remember Ernie Harwell telling me that someone stood there "like a house by the side of the road" and reading me a poem every April. I remeber Gibson's REAL World series homer...not that Dodger BS, but the one where the Padre's manager came out to pull Gossage and he shook him off. Gibson then took him YARD. Trammel to Lou.....OMFG, that was a duo. Chet Lemon. Dale Evans. Lance MotherFing Parrish. Jack Morris. Dan Petry. Willie, 0-13 with the cubs, lights out with the Tigers, Hernandez.

Bandwagon that. I know that if you take off your ChiSox gear there will be Cubbie blue there. Here we are Tigers. 119 loses, we are Tigers. Alwasy Have, Always will. We have Eugene V. Debs night and all sit in LEFT field and drink beer. We swap stories about John Wockenfuss and that crazy Mark kid who talked to the baseball. We KNOW what is at the corner of Michigan and Trumbull. We also respect Mr. October for leaving the park in the All -Star game.

And truly, last night, when Pudge did his dance, I knew it would happen. I have the TV volume off and listen to the radio crew. They knew it woudl happen. The crowd knew it would happen. The pitcher knew it would happen. Many people across Michigan and the US and the World Knew it would happen. We all took a deep breath and said collectively, "Cmon Pudge" Two fist in the air. The crowd not leaving the park. Pudge not leaving the field.

Olde English D. Always. Forever. 119 or 50. Doesnt matter. Lets go Boys.
