I’m betting he goes to Washington. Makes too much sense.
A 4th and two 6ths. There is no lock those guys make the team yet alone are ready to start this year.Green Bay just drafted 3 WRs so I think we can cross them off the list
With Alex Smith at QB, that should be one of the last places he would want to go, since Bryant is known for those downfield catches where he outjumps the defender, while Smith is a QB who throws to the open guy (rather than throwing a guy open).I’m betting he goes to Washington. Makes too much sense.
Exactly. Teams will find money if they need to.Almost half the league has at least 15 million or so in cap space. There are teams with the cap to sign him if they wanted - if his asking price was an accurate reflection of his value, he'd be signed. At some point his asking price will come down and he'll get signed, but I don't think the late release is what's hurting his value.
Yep, it would be like teaming back up with DakWith Alex Smith at QB, that should be one of the last places he would want to go, since Bryant is known for those downfield catches where he outjumps the defender, while Smith is a QB who throws to the open guy (rather than throwing a guy open).
Alex Smith was the #1 deep ball QB last year. And it wasnt close. With Alex Smith at QB, that should be one of the last places he would want to go, since Bryant is known for those downfield catches where he outjumps the defender, while Smith is a QB who throws to the open guy (rather than throwing a guy open).
Smith, who was named to his third Pro Bowl in five years this season, had an adjusted deep ball completion percentage of 56.5 percent in 2017, the best mark in the NFL. Smith also threw for a league-best 1,344 yards on deep balls. His 131.4 adjusted passer rating in the same category was also tops in the NFL.
I think that was mostly because he had Tyreek Hill running free 40 yards down field. Hill wasn't winning jump balls and there aren't many corners in the league that Dez can out run.Alex Smith was the #1 deep ball QB last year. And it wasnt close.
True, just saying. They weren't all to Hill though... I would compare Dez to Kelce's physical, out compete DB's for the ball.I think that was mostly because he had Tyreek Hill running free 40 yards down field. During the draft yesterday they were basically saying no one wanted him in the NFC.I’m betting he goes to Washington. Makes too much sense.
And Dak was down just a couple of spots from him. Both QBs protect the ball, prefer shot passes and only take shots downfield on busted plays.Alex Smith was the #1 deep ball QB last year. And it wasnt close.
I saw a tweet on this months ago, I think it was from PFF and I don't know what their measuring device is but they rated Alex Smith as the #1 deep passer even if you removed throws to Tyreek Hill. No idea what metric they use to judge this, if it's efficiency I can see it, but I'm not buying that he's become a gunslinger.True, just saying. They weren't all to Hill though... I would compare Dez to Kelce's physical, out compete DB's for the ball.
Agreed but he wants to play Dallas and the skins receivers are the same/worse than last year.During the draft yesterday they were basically saying no one wanted him in the NFC.

This is how he is going to find himself roster-less when the season starts.Agreed but he wants to play Dallas and the skins receivers are the same/worse than last year.
Yeah he should od taken the money from ozzie and ran with itThis is how he is going to find himself roster-less when the season starts.
The guy is a fool, he can't be turning down teams.
That’s was a perfect fit for him on a very high quality organization. Flacco loves to throw the ball up for his receivers.Yeah he should od taken the money from ozzie and ran with it

Yeah, but it was the ravens, who would have heard the collective groan from their fans then fail his physical.Cowboysfan8 said:According to schefter Dez turned down multiple yrs at 7 mil per yr.

who needs him? not Philly or the Giants, and I doubt that the skins want him. Is he better than Doctson, Paul Richardson and Crowder? Yeah maybe......He said it wasn't about money and he wants to stay in the East. He's betting on himself on a 1-year flyer to stay in the East where 2 teams have a need for him. He obviously feels it will pay off.
I don't think he's better than the 3 WR's you mentioned. I also don't think Washington is a good fit as you don't want Alex Smith as your QB on a 1 year prove it deal. He won't force the ball to Dez. The NYG and the Eagles are pretty stacked with offensive talent and really don't need him. I would suspect he has to settle for a 1 year, $2 million type deal with a team like the Texans.who needs him? not Philly or the Giants, and I doubt that the skins want him. Is he better than Doctson, Paul Richardson and Crowder? Yeah maybe......
NYG would be a great fit for him. What? Giants ABSOLUTELY need a bigger WR at the #2 spot after cutting Marshall. They don't want to move Sheperd out of the slot and I doubt Cody Latimer (lol) is going to be the guy. At this point Dez is the only big bodied WR with a track record you can trust somewhat.
Keep in mind he'd be the #2 WR with the #1 being OBJr. in a very talented Giants offensive core; a much better situation than he was in with Dallas.
On The Adam Schefter Podcast, Monday Night Football's Jason Witten said he believes former teammate Dez Bryant will sign with the Packers.
"I don't have any insight on that," Witten added. Still, his opinion is notable considering the duo spent eight seasons together in Dallas. It would also be a good fit. The Packers need someone opposite Davante Adams on the outside, and Bryant's skill set would fit well in the old Jordy Nelson role. Green Bay did take three receivers in the draft, but letting the rookies sit behind Bryant for a year makes sense.

Do you think they have a need?It would make sense if Dez has quit on the belief he wants to stay in the East. Again, a few teams wanted him a month ago. Really don't know what the Giants are waiting for.
yeah hes a fool for turning that deal down.Yeah, should have gone to the Ravens.
In this day and age, just go to a team that will sign and play you. The money is important, I get that, but if you don't play this year, then historically speaking, you're gonna have an even tougher time the next offseason.yeah hes a fool for turning that deal down.
I wonder what’s going through his head right now. I wonder if he’s at home getting ticked the phone isn’t ringing with job offers. It’s almost like the nfl is colluding against diva WRs with declining skills that throw tantrums on the sidelines. In this day and age, just go to a team that will sign and play you. the diva and tantrum parts seem redundant, but I agree with you. Almost like nobody wants more drops in their WR corps.I wonder what’s going through his head right now. Sure but he only wants to play in the NFC East so he can get his revenge on the Cowboys.who has the most cap space and needs a WR?
I can see the Colts, Titans or Texans signing him.
Supposedly, Hopkins has lobbied for Dez in Houston. Cowboys play at Houston (Sunday night) and against the Titans in Dallas (Monday night) this year, so he'd have his chance to face the Cowboys in primetime with either team, assuming the Titans or Texans want him.Sure but he only wants to play in the NFC East so he can get his revenge on the Cowboys.
I believe he was the Career leader in Receiving TD's for the Cowboys. I am surprised you haven't heard of him.Who?
His price isn't high though. He's willing to sign cheap for a year; unless someone literally offers him the minimum his plan at least gets off the ground.once he lowers his price someone will sign him, he'll cave eventually, as will Demarco Murray. I also think neither guy wants to go through an entire camp, although Dez likely needs it to get timing down with his new QB.
then why did he turn down the offer in Baltimore? I thought he wanted more moneyHis price isn't high though. He's willing to sign cheap for a year; unless someone literally offers him the minimum his plan at least gets off the ground.
