Yeah, I haven't really seen the details of Cat's contracts with regard to money or how many Disccraft molds she's allowed to have in her bag.  

 
It really sucks people aren't returning discs as much these days. I think I ranted about this before. I've definitely screwed up and left a few discs on the course by throwing too many during practice rounds or being a little high and forgetting them behind. But I lost my favorite halo wraith a few weeks after spending 30 minutes looking for it. The course is like the Ewok forest filled with dense ferns and heavily wooded landscape.  This now makes six discs in a row that I've lost with no call backs.   Bummer.

I once got texted a picture of my lost disc and the guy was like "thanks for the disc, LOL!"

 
Anyone hear ever heard of Platebee?  It is a Wasp I lost that in 2011 and has been documented traveling the country as a camping plate ever since. 

ETA: I am now FB friends with the girl who has it ;)

FPO is going to really interesting this year with the Euros coming over. I’ve not watched a ton of it in the past but will definitely tune in some this year. 
 

I’ve been playing in 20 degree weather lately, working on turnover/hyzer flip shots with my forehand. For the longest time I had it in my head that you had to throw overstable discs from that side, but boy was I wrong. I’ve discovered I’m much better from that side on shots that require lateral movement, and I’m getting more distance out of the Tern than I thought possible with a forehand. I might not throw many backhands off the tee going forward.

My parents are in Keller, just north of Fort Worth. I might just happen to visit the week of the Waco tournament and make the drive down for a round.

I played Sunday for the first time in a while.  Nathan got me a new disc for my birthday and man, I can fling it!  We played TEK and I went par, par, par - laced a drive 20 feet from the basket.....and triple boogied. :bag:    Let's just say I need some putting work.

Very rarely  I played three rounds in 2021. Amazingly, I am objectively better than when I played semi-regularly in law school just because of one nightmare form error that identified after watching some YouTube videos.

  There's a new temporary course at the old RFK stadium that is closest.  Otherwise I have to go about 20-30 minutes away to Virginia or Maryland.  I'll probably be moving up around Syracuse in the summer, though.  And there are three courses within about 10-15 minutes.

Work just north of Keller in the Alliance airport area and live East Fort Worth, so I drive though Keller everyday to and from. Grew up in next door Watauga. If you do make it to Waco, shoot a message. Might be down there with the kid and would love to buy you a beverage of your choice.

I LOVED following the adventures of Platebee!  :tebow:

I rarely get call backs but if all my lost discs went on adventures like that I’d be ok  

 
Oh..I got an "unofficial" ace last weekend. The course we played has a little 9 hole ace run course in the same park. Threw a forehand flick with my new Adam Hames Pink Glo Zone right into the chains from about 175 feet.

Looks like there were several Disc Golf Fantasy Drafts last night. I don't know the scoring and wouldn't know who to draft outside the first round, but I might have spent an hour or so watching streams and reading twitter threads on how people did drafting.

I signed up a few weeks ago with 50% off the monthly with my PDGA membership.

I saw that the app is down but they are streaming live for free on youtube at least.

 
Not too familiar with Natalie Ryan.  I think she might have come up through ultimate like Ella Hanson?  Anyway, she's 8 under through 16 despite having a triple-bogey on her card.  Just smashing drives and draining big putts.

 
Haven’t had a chance to watch live, will probably just wait for the post-production stuff. We doing no spoilers in here or nah?

That is one of the funniest and most (ly) wholesome threads I have read on the internet in a while. Did Platebee ever make it back home to PA? Did Sky ever learn that there was a 90 page thread on the internet about her and her traveling frisbee plate?

 
Got to watch the coverage yesterday on YouTube, and honestly made me ready to drop coin on the Network (first taste for free, right).

Haven't gotten to play as much as I would like lately, due to work and weather, but I get to send twitter clips like Ricky's almost ace to my son, and we have a nice text conversation about it. And this is a kid that only wants to talk about video games or anime. Disc Golf has become something we can talk about and watch YouTube clips on the weekend he is over. Pretty cool stuff.

The commentary team (Ian and Philo) is awesome. I had always heard people complaining about the DGN coverage but as a new viewer yesterday I thought it was great. Ian is really really good. 

 
Have never watched much FPO, caught a tiny bit this morning and it’s much more relatable. Don’t get me wrong they would destroy me but it’s reassuring to see people throw normal distances. Ricky threw a harp on a 350 ft hole and if he hadn’t hit a tree he woulda been 100ft long. Doesn’t even feel like the same sport I’m playing

That's why I preferred FPO last year.  FPO is getting more power arms every year though, especially with the Europeans coming over.  I think everyone on the feature card yesterday drove over 400 ft on one hole.  I've never seen that on FPO coverage.  

 
Fun final day at Las Vegas. Great finish for both MPO and FPO. Buhr just crushing all weekend with Drew making the comeback to force a playoff and take it. And I could watch Allen vs Pierce everytime.

Tough break for the young kid. I'm really surprised he played so conservatively on some of those holes down the stretch. Gibson did what he needed to do to force the playoff. That second shot by Buhr on 18 was such a crusher. Just play that midrange hyzer into the bank of the hill and let is skip up. It could just as easily hit the bark differently and stayed in bounds.

I was able to squeeze in 40 holes yesterday before coming home to watch them play the back 9 and playoff.  

 
Those that are paying for the Disc Golf Network, does it just have the tournaments or is there other content? Does it have a backlog of events?

Just trying to justify adding another streaming service. Thanks!! 

 
Love Gannon but that’s what he gets for playing. so. damn. slow. Kinda wish I didn’t know that about him.

There’s other content, I’ve not watched any of it though. No clue if it’s exclusive or available elsewhere, but there’s a series called Roots of Flights and a couple others. It does have a backlog of events, you can watch the entirety of their 2021 live coverage

He was slow and he his routine changed down the stretch. Dickerson's routine doesn't change under pressure. I get it that he was probably nervous and trying stay calm but usually a consistent routine is what keeps the top players cool under pressure.

 
McBeast with a tidy 16 down 1108 rated round at the Memorial yesterday.  Don't think anyone can dominate a season with the men's field as deep as it is, but I think McBeth is looking to come back from a "down year" where he was still only a miracle away from winning the Worlds / USDGC double.

Is there an easy place to see which pros are playing which tournements. All three Texas stops are within driving distance, but would love to see McBeth (and Hannah) at the stop the boy and I decide on.

If you go the events page at pdga.com you can search for the tournaments and see who is registered to play
