He's pathological. He cannot stop lying. 

There's not even a doubt in his mind that anyone will check the veracity of a statement like this.  

Scary part is, he already believes his lie.

 
I know This has been said before but I will voice it again, TRUMP IS A CLINTON PLANT.  There is no way that this is not some orchestrated place. Just from the first day of the convention it looks like the Trimp camp might have a negative "bounce"  instead of the normal +4 or +5.  Also did they not see the irony of playing Queen's We are The Champions when mercury was 1 An Immigrant,2. Gay and 3.Non christian.

Haven't gotten a chance to watch much, have been driving across country to Florida from Illinois.

I think the Melania Trump speech may have been intentionally ripped off as a slap in the face to Obama. Trump loves being in the media spotlight and I wouldn't put it past the guy who said he could shoot somebody and not lose supporters.

He doesn't care and he's been blatantly trolling the left the entire campaign, hope it continues.

How does un-admitted plagiarism qualify as trolling? Or is this another one of those examples of Trump playing a style of chess that no one else understands?

It's not all calculated but when he's posting things to his Twitter like he did on Cinco De Mayo you know he's in on the whole joke.

He tricked Republicans into cheering for things that were originally said by Michelle Obama. If he's trolling anyone, he's trolling his own supporters.

 
It's probably been thrown out there but I think the plagiarism was planned to take attention away from how horrible the rest of the convention is. Then later he can rally his supports saying that all the liberals care about is his wife's speach.

These conventions are always kind of stupid, right? A few speeches every year that people get into but mostly a bunch of dopes in weird hats getting hammered every night.

None of this is intentional. Campaigns make mistakes all the time. He's a moron who has never done this before which only enables more mistakes than usual.

The consequence remains...he keeps the supporters he has had (even loses a few of them)...he loses those he had a chance to pick up.  Those he needed to actually win the presidency.

Problem is...its been talked about by even the "right" leaning media.  Whether in defense or whatever...they have spent time dealing with it too.

CNN seems to be the one "leftist" media still clinging to it and putting it up front and center.

He said he would deport US citizens and thinks global warming is a hoax created by the Chinese. He thinks the US should default on its debt, defends the interment of Japanese Americans in WW2. He thinks Obama is a muslim and accused him of not being American as well as accused him of being an ISIS sympathizer. He's insulted war heroes because they got captured, racially insulted a sitting Senator. He bragged about his #### size in a GOP debate and has suggested he might quit if he's actually elected. He consistently thinks women are only valuable for how they look, with at least a dozen high-profile misogynistic comments. He's called nuking the middle east a plausible option. He has a suspicious number of ties to Putin, and has a history of business deals with organized crime. He's called Mexicans rapists and criminals, been successfully sued multiple times for racist rental practices, and said he wants no blacks only Jews counting his money. He semi-threatened the pope, mocked disabled people in front of a crowd of thousands, outright threatened violence towards the media and protesters, made sexual comments about his daughters MULTIPLE TIMES, praised Kim Jong Un and Putin and Saddam Hussein, praised the Tienanmen Square massacre. Yeah well these things are sophomoric for sure, so high school talent show is not a bad analogy. I'll usually watch the keynote speech at both conventions but I'm up in the great white north with no tv, so I'll miss them this go round. WAH, WA, WAH
