I'm simply saying once Lewinsky was no longer a rumor and an outright scandal that it broke the country. It forced women to have to back a womanizer as they supported the DNC. It also meant that a lot of other scandals that were just brushed off as people persecuting the Clintons...in fact it was the Clintons who were persecuting people not the other way around. It started in the 70s in Arkansas and kept going. She treats most of the people who work for them like slaves and inferiors.

Clinton Global Initiative? Maybe Bill Clinton fornicating with under age and possible slave trade girls while flying 25,000 feet up doesn't mean much but it shows none of you care about actual crimes much.

Keep worshiping at the alter of the Clintons, convince yourself that they will do what is best, rise my friends and fight against the horrors of Donald Trump!!!

We could save a lot of money that could be used to fight hunger and homelessness on this election since obviously Trump cannot win. He has no support anywhere it seems from current GOP members, that's what you all profess and claim to be? Right? You all were going to vote for one of the other 16 candidates who fill this thread and mock everyone? But now you are forced to stay home and salute Clinton? 

I doubt the sincerity, call me jaded.  

 
Not even remotely the same CC, you can type in Clinton Body Count and numerous websites emerge. I can list numbers of people who have vanished but even with that printed in black and white, a lot of Clinton supporters do not care. 

And the point is simple. Those who seem to have a moral aversion to Trump also have selective hearing/reading skills when it comes to Hilary Clinton.

Yes, once again: You are saying that the scandal proved that "in fact" all this other stuff was true.  Do you understand that getting a blowy doesn't make anything else a "fact"?

Neither did Obama, as I recall. ETA - not an endorsement of Trump, just pointing out that experience for the office is over-rated. Eisenhower led armies - no political experience either, He turned out to be a pretty good President. Now does that mean Trump would be? No - there are other considerations, but lack of experience is not one of them.

They have had scandal after scandal and always seem to escape it all. I used to be enamored with them when I was in my 20s and living int he early 90s, it seemed like they were a little cooler than everyone else and getting away with all they did, honestly Americans were rooting for them for the longest time. 

But then what was rumors or benefit of the doubt came to a head with Lewinsky and then you knew a lot of these false claims were in fact true.

I find this interesting because my approach is exactly the opposite of yours.  I voted Perot in 1992 because I did not like Bill Clinton, thought was pandering, particularly in promising a middle class tax cut in the face of a growing deficit, a promise that he knew he could not keep.  Went Nader in 1996 as a protest vote.  I came to like Clinton a lot more over time, particularly in his second term, mostly because of the enemies he made and disgust over the relentless phony scandals coming from the right -- Whitewater, travelgate, filegate, culminating in a reckless party line impeachment vote.  Through it all he never lashed out and just kept doing his job.

MA can be very conservative, it's like the South of New England. I have no idea where they go on election day. Try Brookline, Cambridge or Somerville. Go to a pub, say "Gosh I sure love me some Trump" real loud like 3 times, see what happens.

You miss the part of actual physical evidence finally produced on these two mold breakers. It gave/gives a lot more credibility to the fact these two people will do ANYTHING in the world of politics. That scandal would have ended most marriages and they just acted like it was all a lie...in fact they both lied again and again and again and Kenneth Starr proved it as much as I hate that guy. Clinton was impeached and the GOP/Senate decided not to go further with it.

It seems Mrs Clinton lied to the FBI/e-Mails and they spent almost a year trying to figure out how to handle that mess. And again she walks free. 

If they will lie about all the stuff we have caught them in red handed, it only leads one to assume the other allegations are likely true. 

I have a hard time understanding the folks who won't vote for Trump because he is somehow not in step with their moral compass. No politician has a moral compass that lines up with the majority of folks, religious or otherwise.

If not, why not? The Clinton thread is filled with negative posts.  Why is this thread the one that needs your wise words?

Clinton holds a 3 point lead over Trump among all registered voters nationally and a 2 point lead among those most likely to vote in November.  These margins are down from last month when the Democrat held a 6 point lead with registered voters and a 7 point lead with likely voters.  Currently, 43% of registered voters support Clinton and 40% support Trump, with 5% backing Libertarian Gary Johnson, 2% backing Jill Stein of the Green Party, and 2% backing another candidate.  Support among likely voters stands at 45% Clinton, 43% Trump, 5% Johnson, 1% Stein, and 2% other.  In addition to a narrowing of Clinton’s edge over the past month, the number of registered voters who say they will support a third party candidate has dropped from 15% to 9%.

Clinton has the support of 88% of Democrats and Trump has the support of 81% of Republicans – both numbers are similar to the nominees’ partisan support levels last month.  Independents now give Trump a 40% to 31% advantage, whereas they were more evenly split last month at 32% for Trump and 31% for Clinton.  Clinton, however, has a 46% to 39% edge over Trump in the all-important swing states – the ten states in 2012 that were decided by less than seven points.  This marks an insignificant change from her 41% to 36% lead in these states last month.

The arrogance is astounding here. Now you don't like me because I am not flaming the Clinton thread? 

I'm not gelling with this vibe you are putting out that I am somehow the problem here. I am commenting on the Clintons and you keep attacking me instead of just stating how you feel.

Give Mike his credit for sending me the 141 things Trump has said, I think he was genuine in his post even though we have had a few differences. He didn't even jump back at me when I dismissed them all. And I'm only doing what Trump himself does. I understand he has said some gaffes but I cannot vote for Hilary Clinton this time around and an extension of Barack Obama who has done ZERO NOTHING NADA NOT A GD THING for minorities and poverty stricken people in this country, not a single thing. The wealthy have flourished at an almost unbridled rate of speed since that stock market bottomed out towards the start of his administration.

And so because I care about minorities and want to see poor people of all races flourish, because I actually put my money where my mouth is just as I have done in recreating and adapting my life the last 20 years, I WILL VOTE FOR TRUMP!!!

He might/might not do much but I believe it will shake things up like they haven't been in a good long time and maybe people will wake up and realize they need to go get what they desire in life and not wait for the federal government to give them a handout and show them the way...that's what they set up public education in most of these big cities to handle the youth of this country. It's not about making your way, it's now about taking your way from entitlements and handouts. 

Believe what you want but many in here don't seem to understand what is truly happening on the ground level. It's apparent in the aftermath of the police murders, the disconnect and severe social engineering that has been imprinted on many, but if we don't stop the continued message that it's OK to set yourself up for government handouts...I just finished off a friendship with a real SOB because he is now trying to get the government to send him a check for his sudden loss of vision as he enters his mid 30s. I know of several folks who are actively trying to get on government welfare in one form or another. Not planning their next company to start or place where they can volunteer and touch lives, nope it's free handout time from the government and it looks like Clinton will continue that path of victimization. 

When I was young, everybody worked, even those with little ailments. Now it seems like nobody works or they are staying home for different ailments and sudden whipped up reasons which the drug companies are all too eager to diagnose in folks...

"Do you have trouble breathing/thinking/sleeping/walking/farting"...everything is a disease now.

Hey Saints, do you think 3 points is a big lead for Clinton when she spent Tens of millions more than Trump? If Trump were to spend $50 Million on ads would it improve his numbers?

I think the obvious answer is yes and that makes me feel like Trump doesn't have the money he says he does. That would bother me more than any of his gaffes on an open mic to this point.

Seems to be a melting point where people don't differentiate the two parties but that melting point number is different for everyone.

No, I agree, it's not a big lead, and it's been cut in half actually already. Overall, I think it's a mixed bag for both.

They're both really flawed candidates, they (almost, aside from policy and knowledge) match their flaws one for one. So really each should be losing to a better candidate right now.

I've said often that the fundamentals - starting with the candidate - really hurt Trump. One of those is the battleground states result in that poll. Another is the fundraising, and yes I agree, a strong ad push would make a difference for him, but Trump has cornered himself into spending his own money which he doesn't want to do and he also has trouble fundraising, so yeah there he is.

I am for Clinton, mostly because the version of her that comes through from books by Bob Woodward and Bob Gates convinces me that she is a centrist D on foreign/military policy and it appeared from her time in the Senate that she tried to work across the aisle whenever she could (even joined the mostly R senators' prayer group).  I would expect her to advance free trade after some face-saving tweaks to the TPP.  I would expect her to promote aid to college students which is seed money for the next generation.  I doubt she would get an increase in the minimum wage past the House but think it is overdue.  I think she will step up our efforts against ISIS, which Obama is (finally) doing already.    

By contrast Trumps remarks about withdrawing from Japan and Korea and giving them nukes, dialing back our NATO commitments, imposing tariffs, closing the borders, etc.and his trickle down tax plan all strike me at terrible policies at every level.

Dear Lord,  where to start? I linked an article showing 141 things this guy has said or done in the past that make him a terrible presidential choice  and you just dismiss them all because,  I don't know,  he's not a Clinton? Do you not believe these are things he has said or stood for at some point in the recent past? The references are cited,  there's no spin here.  He may not agree with them right now,  but that's because his opinion depends upon the audience he is addressing.  If you want to hear it,  he'll say it. 

You support minorities,  and BECAUSE of that you're voting for this guy? Can you name me one minority group,  just ONE (including but not limited to NAACP,  AIPAC, PRIDE, UNCF, CAIR,  NOW) that has supported him? 

You're a joke and so are your long-winded responses. There's a reason an annual award is given out that has your name on it.

And :lmao: at me being a Republican. For one, I'm not American. I detest the conservative party in Canada which in Republican light. I just read this thread occasionally for the laughs and complete astonishment that one, Trump could possibly be your president and two, people here actually support him.
