I simply said if Trump can link them then he will, go back and read it instead of sticking your head in the sand when you don't like the POV of certain posters.

One of my favorites - When he initially refused to disavow Dukes and white supremacists, MENTIONING THEM BY NAME, than later blamed it on "faulty ear piece". That could be a Get Smart scene. "You think this could be the KKK, one of the oldest and most reviled racist organizations in US history?" Who is the KKK again, Chief?

That's a great question Urb and just for the record I realize you don't agree with my political leanings but I do appreciate that before you try and take a bite you allow for a simple clear question to allow me to share what I think. 

-In short form, he can't target a skin color but he can target those at poverty level and below, those on food stamps and welfare. He could have figured out a way with his education and background to encourage business to hire and pay a living wage. Obama would have had to drop his health care bill and that would never happen so now we have this. 

-He could have encouraged more small business to grow and flourish which in turn creates lots of jobs, instead he has made it harder for them to not only open but the mounting insurance costs are making a lot of folks just pass on even getting started. This is not good. 

-TPP, one of his last daggers he wants passed thru, will cripple this place and make things much worse. 

-The continued abuse of working class people. The ones who are left in the job market have become SLAVES and I don't use the term lightly. People doing the jobs of 3 because of the recession that I thought we managed to rebound or pull out of but this is not the case. Companies now expect people to continue working at max levels when most folks thought once things cooled down that things would return to normal but in fact they haven't.

-He could have passed Marijauna bills and new drug laws nationally to put an end to petty crimes and perm records for a lot of those folks who live in the inner cities and drugs are a way of life. 

-He could enact laws to encourage BOTH parents are involved. In order to do that, the previous suggestion I mentioned would go a long way so fathers are not in jail. 

-We must have education tracts that match job openings when folks graduate high school even if they are not perfect jobs these folks need a way to survive, they don't all go to college. Where is the shame in being a plumber, auto mechanic, restaurant manager, construction worker, where is the shame in grooming these young men so they can take care of themselves and provide for any future family members? So maybe in about 9th/10th grade we should stop with the history lessons for some students and get them going on a tract where they still can succeed in life and not set them up to be lifelong victims.

People can't call him out on his policies when he doesn't have any concrete policies. Savvy.

 
MoP, you do realize that the President doesn't make laws, Congress does - right? And for the last 8 years the Republicans in  Congress has made it their priority to make sure he doesn't get anything accomplished?

And just what is he supposed to do about how much businesses pay their employees? I know - raise the minimum wage! Oh wait, Congress.

Your entire list of complaints* is based on a non-performing government, not a President.

*Except TPP. I agree with you on that one.

What marijuana\drug reform laws made it to his desk that he didn't sign? Same thing with the parents bit.

Do you understand that he can't create legislation, being in the Executive branch?

Congress would have loved to work with him on all these things. Oh, wait. 

The guy the republicans picked for their nomination spent the last 7 years saying he wasn't born here.

C'mon now, why do you think he has all the people in the Congress over to the White House? It's like a movie exec pitching ideas, eventually someone will bring a script he likes. Or a bill in this case. 

I'm sure he could have requested they do things behind closed doors. And maybe they did but Obama wouldn't budge or side on other things they felt important. Whatever the case it seems naive to think the President doesn't have a say or push or lobby for things to get done. 

Yeah TPP is a real downer but I'm happy a lot of people from different paths are uniting behind it or against it I should say. I like issues where people can get past their party affiliation.

But he can lead and push for legislation - find common ground. He hasn't, which is why he is only an average President.

The 1st sentence was enough, the 2nd is cherry picking his hot takes. 

Obama would have had to bend a lot to get things done, Billy had no problem doing it.

Explain to me how you lead and push for legislation when the people he was working with came right out and said that their goal was to make him a one term president. The criticism from the left early on was that he was naive in thinking he could work with the Republicans in Congress.

If Slick Willie could work with Republicans to get things done even when they were trying to impeach him, then so could Obama.

1. This isn't the 1990s and the MO of the 2010 GOP had become one of obstruction by then. That was their entire legislative strategy. Just because Clinton did something in the 90s doesn't mean he could have today.

2. I don't have any idea what that has to do with my response to MOP when he said Obama should have created legislation, considering that presidents can't create legislation.

3. Look it up for yourself if you want the answer to that. I do know that the number of vacancies in the Obama administration is and was higher than it's ever been for any administration and it wasn't because he didn't nominate people.

I will agree that I think Obama could have been better at political manuevering. One of the reasons I have some hope Clinton will have some success - she can handle that stuff better than Obama perhaps.

He would like to try and make a link to the type of people who support terrorism and if BLM can be classified as a terrorist group then he will do so. If he achieves that and they are hanging like an albatross around HRC's neck, that helps Trump with Independent voters or swing voters. 

It's not BLM is ISIS or vice versa, more of a Brand vs Brand and it takes one(Trump brand) to know one so I'm putting it out there as a path I see him trying to carve out. Maybe I'm wrong and I am not saying that ISIS and BLM are even remotely the same but Trump doesn't care about that, he wants to whip up drama and fear and dominate the news cycle. Hilary caught pneumonia and we haven't heard much from her since. Trump is surging in the polls right now, that's a fact. Will he be able to maintain that?

It seems he has an uphill climb in PA and MN? I thought MN would definitely get behind him when you see the flood of Muslims there and also they voted on a WWF wrestler for a governor so I was hopeful they were open minded.

I miss MOP's weekly player profiles. I remember when Peyton Manning was going up against the 30th ranked pass-defense and MOP called him his "sleeper pick" of the week.

Joe and Dodds missed a goldmine of talent when they refused to put him on staff.

I'm guessing the intelligence and military community is almost universally opposing Trump. Woolsey and Flynn -whom Obama fired - are two notable but lousy exceptions.

Hillary & Bush have more than a few things in common in their view of foreign policy too.
