Confronted by MSNBC panelist Katty Kay with the charge of sexism for calling Hillary Clinton “shrill” during a speech

Kay asked Trump why he used that word to describe Clinton, and Trump countered that he felt that word did not apply just to women.

“It’s just an expression that I thought of as I was speaking,” Trump said. “I thought it was a very accurate expression. She’s gotten very loud, she’s gotten very boisterous, and that can happen to men too, Katty. If you don’t mind, that can happen to men.”

“We never hear that word said about men,” Kay said.

Trump said many men can become “loud and obnoxious” the way Clinton has, and Kay asked whether he would call any of his fellow GOP nominees “shrill” as well.

“I would call Rand Paul shrill,” Trump said. “I think he’s shrill. I don’t think that’s a term that applies exclusively to women at all.”

MSNBC host Joe Scarborough backed Trump’s assertion, pointing out to laughter from the panel that Morning Joe co-host Mika Brzezinski has accused him of being shrill off-camera. The two often banter on the show given their stark political differences.
wasting time on a question like that is absurd. we are a stupid country that tolerates this as legitimate discourse..
Oh, so now shrill is a sexist word? :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Let's face it, Trump says a lot of inappropriate stuff that he should be called out for, but shrill? This just proves once again that some people will find any reason to be outraged.

When asked by Zakaria if he believed Trump could win, Clinton said “I think so.”

He added that Trump has reached out to the working class to give them economic reasons to vote for him, including restricting immigration and limiting Chinese imports.

“But he’s got a lot of pizzazz and zip, he’s branded himself in a clear way and he’s generated some excitement. And it remains to be seen what’s going to happen.”

"Both Hillary and Sen. [bernie] Sanders [i-Vt.] have laid out detailed policy positions, talked about what they would cost," he said.

"You can actually have a debate there where you can discuss the relative merits of their positions on healthcare, generating jobs, lifting incomes or whatever.

But over there, it seems to be more about resentments and one-liners."

http://www.cnn.com/2015/09/23/politics/donald-trump-tax-plan-south-carolina/index.html

Donald Trump will release his tax plan Monday morning, his campaign manager said Saturday.

Corey Lewandowski also told CNN that the plan will be published on Trump's website.
(It) will be very long on policy and will be a great plan, with a major reduction in taxes for the middle class," Trump said at a town hall meeting in Columbia, South Carolina, at the University of South Carolina.

Trump promised that his plan would be "great" for middle income residents and businesses, but not so much for hedge fund managers, who he has turned into political punching bags of late.

"It's going to be very specific," Trump said of his proposal. "And I think it's going to be a plan that creates incentives, and I think it's going to be a plan that makes people happy, other than maybe the hedge fund guys, who make hundreds of millions of dollars and pay very little tax. I mean, those guys will not exactly love me."

http://davidstockmanscontracorner.com/trumps-excellent-idea-let-putin-degrade-and-destroy-isis/

Trump’s good judgment has since surfaced in a conversation with Greta Van Susteren: “If Putin goes into Syria and is “able to knock out ISIS,” that’s not the worst thing he’s ever heard, Trump told the host.

That excellent instinct—allow Putin to degrade and destroy ISIS if he wants to—comes from a very different perspective than Rubio’s lamentations about Russia “replacing us as the single most important power broker in the Middle East.”

You see, Trump’s instinct is to conduct foreign policy that benefits Americans. He doesn’t want Americans dying for nothing. Rubio’s prime objective is to conduct foreign policy that aggrandizes Washington. Like other neoconservatives, he dreads being a politician in a country that is no longer the world’s military hegemon.
“I’m owned by the people!” affirmed Trump, who wants what the people want.

Donald Trump has done another fine thing since Simi Valley, about which the media is audibly silent.
In the honorable tradition Benjamin Franklin wished to establish, Trump said he’d forfeit a salary as president. Many of our Founding Fathers believed America’s representatives ought not to be paid at all.

So here’s why Trump is good for liberty:
By waging internecine warfare against the political masters and their mouthpiece (FNC), Trump is undermining the bastions of neoconservatism in America; he is dealing a structural blow to the edifice of Beltway Republicanism.

In response, the Beltway boys are rising on their little hind legs.
As Megyn Kelly riffed about Trump’s sexism, Fox News commentator Rich Lowry blurted out this on Kelly’s File: “Carly Fiorina cut Trump’s balls off with the precision of a surgeon.” (Kelly, who is turning out to be rather vacuous, detected no sexism there.)
Another slick Republican strategist, Rick Wilson, a regular on CNN, recently asked Trump supporter Ann Coulter on Twitter if Trump paid her “more for anal.”
Trump, for his part, fired first on the political flank. Now, in a pincer movement, Trump opened up a new front and is gunning for the establishment’s media megaphone.
This is why Trump’s war with Fox News is part of a just, liberating war.

Anyone who is viewing the battle between Donald Trump and Fox News as a representative battle of thin-skinned ego is entirely missing the point.

Trump is not just taking on the construct of progressive ideology that has undermined the essence of American exceptionalism; Trump is not just exposing the immense number of faux-conservatives in media and political punditry; Trump is not just allowing us to see the scope of anti-American interest; no, he’s taking on the very selfish foundation they’ve used to sell out our country. Heck, he’s taking on all the “Decepticons” simultaneously

The bottom line is Donald Trump is advocating for us; he’s representing the interests of all of us who are sick and tired of being lied to and manipulated by the Mitch McConnells of the world. So while campaigning, he’s taking them head on.

Rupert Murdoch FOX owner is part of the problem. So too Roger Ailes Fox News President is also part of the problem…. again, their interests – i.e., elect Jeb Bush- are antithetical to those of a restored, strong, free and independent U.S.

Mitch McConnell, Rupert Murdoch, The RNC, Roger Ailes, Tom Donohue, Wall Street et al, are all part of the apparatus simultaneously being confronted.

It’s often a painful exhibition to watch a surgeon cut clear margins out of an infected patient. And it definitely ain’t pretty when you have to do it on a battlefield in the midst of an ideological war.

This is the backdrop for Donald Trump taking on Fox News, and as a consequence Rupert Murdoch through Roger Ailes and Murdoch’s princess, Megyn Kelly.

George Stephanopoulos is not the only one who made donations to the Clinton Foundation. Rupert Murdoch did so also with even more money.

The businesses think of it as better than paying lobbyists and the Clintons front it with charity. It is all legal but they know they get the payoff because the Clintons are corrupt.

Some people, e.g. celebrities, gave because of the charities. Most people will blame more the guys and gals who "misappropriate" the funds to line their own pockets.

Why do the Chinese have so much power now? They got rich.

How did Japan and Germany become so powerful? They got rich.

It is all very simple. We can fix a lot if we get rich again.

http://www.cnn.com/2015/09/23/politics/donald-trump-tax-plan-south-carolina/index.html

As long as he can release these plans over the next 9 months and they sound legit, he will stay relevant. I'm not hearing anything from the recycled losers as far as cuts for the middle class and making the rich pay more taxes.

The fact that Trump isn't taking a significant number of votes from Jeb or Rubio (or Carson or Fiorina) is worrisome.

There's just no way to rationally and confidently spin such a small lead.

Ann Coulter ‏@AnnCoulter 2h2 hours ago

Another ########ed Q from 60 Min: How can you be serious about running for president, when you say you'll go back to your business if you lose?

Ann Coulter ‏@AnnCoulter 2h2 hours ago

Trump's plan to force hedge fund managers to pay same tax rate as upper middle class may be as popular as his immigration policies.

Also Trumptastic: He won't admit the MSM's absurd claim that there are only 11 million illegals.

http://www.breitbart.com/2016-presidential-race/2015/09/27/donald-trump-america-needs-fair-trade-not-free-trade/

Donald Trump was questioned about the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), calling it a “disaster” and saying America needs “fair trade,” not “free trade.”

“If you’re president, you’re going to have to live with it,” Pelley said to the billionaire businessman during the interview, referencing NAFTA.

Trump fired back: “Excuse me, we will either renegotiate it or we will break it. Because, you know, every agreement has an end.”

Pelley said Trump can’t just break the law.

“Excuse me, every agreement has an end. Every agreement has to be fair,” Trump reiterated. “Every agreement has a defraud clause. We’re being defrauded by all these countries.”

Pelley told Trump that “free trade” is the “plank” of the Republican Party.

“Scott, we need fair trade. Not free trade,” Trump clarified. “We need fair trade. It’s got to be fair.”

I have already said this before. Do you continue to honor a ceasefire if the other side does not? Do you say, "Go ahead, fire at me because I can't break the laws"?

To be top dog in the business world, one has to be limbo and have the foresight to make changes when they're needed. One thing Trump has in his favor is he is not bound by old promises made by either party.

Apparently he's not bound by treaties made by the United States, either.
