“And you know cyber is becoming so big today. It’s becoming something that a number of years ago, a short number of years ago, wasn’t even word"
http://io9.gizmodo.com/today-cyber-means-war-but-back-in-the-1990s-it-mean-1325671487

It all started with “cybernetics,” an obscure term popularized by a mathematician named Norbert Wiener in the 1940s. For his groundbreaking book Cybernetics, Wiener borrowed the ancient Greek word “cyber,” which is related to the idea of government or governing. Indeed, the only time the word cybernetics had appeared before was in a few works of political theory about the science of governance.

Within 30 days. But what I don't get is why he would trust them to come up with a plan for ISIS when he knows more about ISIS than they do.
The same reason he believes they aren't telling the current administration how to do it. Which is the same reason he believes that the "powerful" person in the Chicago Police Department isn't telling anyone his secret plan to end the violence there overnight.  Which is the same reason he thinks he can build a wall can keep out all the rapists and have Mexico pay for it.  Because he's psychotic.

Donald Trump Explains Plan to Defeat ISIS: 'Cyber Is So Big'

“Well, that’s it,” said Trump, according to CBS News’ Sopan Deb. “And you know cyber is becoming so big today. It’s becoming something that a number of years ago, a short number of years ago, wasn’t even word. And now the cyber is so big, and you know you look at what they’re doing with the internet. ”

“But cyber has been very, very important and it’s becoming more and more important as you look and a lot of it does have to do with ideology and psychology and a lot of other things,” Trump continued. “You know, we’re in a very different world than we were in 20 years ago, 30 years ago.”
The cherry on top of this inanity by Trump is that he's never used a computer.

Retired general calls Trump's 30-day ISIS order 'sophomoric'

(CNN)A retired army general is slamming Donald Trump's remarks that as President he will ask the US military to come up with a plan within one month to defeat ISIS.
"I had to ask myself, what the hell does he think we've been trying to do for the last 14 years in terms of al Qaeda?" Retired Army Lt. Gen. Mark Hertling told Anderson Cooper on AC360 on Tuesday.

I think Trump honestly thinks that most people in Government are working half-assed right now, but when he gets into office, they will jump to attention and say "YES SIR! WHAT EVER YOU WANT SIR!"

Donald Trump actually made sense tonight- to a certain degree.

"Russia doesn't like ISIS either. Wouldn't it be nice if we could get along better with Russia?"

I have been saying this for about ten years (before ISIS, I substituted the words "radical Islam". I believe that both Bushes and Bill Clinton have screwed up trying to encircle Russia with NATO countries. I've never understood this policy, which Obama was forced to inherit.

But the problem with Trump's question, and my own ideas on this, is Vladimir Putin. We simply cannot work with this man. He has to go before we can seek a new relationship with Russia. Trump's belief that we CAN work with Putin is, IMO, extremely naïve and dangerous.
Tim once in awhile I agree with you ...and this is one of those times...Why we are hell bent on reigniting the cold war is beyond me...

Yes......Obama and Hillary hold them back from doing their job......Instead they provide 1.3 billion to Iran who in turn funds whatever terrorist group du jour
Can you......elaborate on how.........Hillary holds them back.......from doing their job......right now.......considering she's not in any sort of.....you know....official position of power.....?????111

Wasn't her previous job in charge of foreign policy?
You know generals aren't part of the State Department, right?  They're in a whole different branch of the government.  They have a huge five-sided building and their own Secretary on the cabinet and everything.  You can look it up.

:lmao:  Yes you are right....They can do whatever they please without any intervention...

Defeat them....Her policy on Libya created ISIS...
Even if you are right about Libya policy creating ISIS (and you're obviously not, as anyone with google and an understanding of how the passage of time works could tell you, but whatever), how did she hold them back from defeating them?  Seems like a pretty simple question  You're the one who said it, I assume you had some reason to say it.

You said Clinton "held back" generals from doing their job. You were asked to explain what she did to hold back generals. The word "general" does not appear in that link, other than a sidebar linking to the story about Florida Attorney General Bondi.

Try again.
Seriously ...I'm trying to work on my fantasy football team......If you can't see how she pulled the strings to support her run for the presidency and how instead of helping her it has hurt her and how now she is trying to separate herself from her failed plan (that created ISIS)....Then I can't help you....Do you think sending troops (boots on the ground) and watching a bunch of our sons and daughters die cleaning up her mess would be helpful or hurtful to her campaign for the presidency...

"Never engage in a battle of wits with an unarmed man."

Winston Churchill
I think he (inadvertently) raises an important issue, though. We should probably talk a lot more about how it sure looks like Donald Trump paid off Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi to drop her office's investigation of Trump University and tried to hide the payoff by illegally making it through his nonprofit foundation.

Anyone want to talk about that issue?  Seems important, and I thank Ditka Butkus for raising it.

Still don't see the word "general," let alone any explanation as to how Clinton held them back from defeating ISIS, so let's call it a day and move on. I hope you understand football better than you understand government personnel, foreign affairs and the passage of time.

"Never engage in a battle of wits with an unarmed man."

Winston Churchill
Attributed to Churchill and Mark Twain among others, however, first popular modern usage is generally attributed to comedian Frank Fay (best remembered today for being Barbara Stanwick's first husband, with their relationship being the inspiration for the film A Star is Born):

Quote Investigator: There is no substantive evidence that the Bard of Avon penned this jest. Attributions to Mark Twain, Oscar Wilde, and Winston Churchill are also unsupported. The earliest evidence of comparable word play located by QI appeared in an 1866 novel which the author, Abby Buchanan Longstreet, released under a pseudonym. Longstreet described a character blushing and then employed an instance of the trope. Boldface has been added to excerpts: 1

The blood swung its reddest pennant out over the boy’s cheeks, but Trissilian’s mood was not to be resented, or resisted. A battle of wits was to be fought, and the Boy in Blue was unarmed to-night.

In December 1928 Walter Winchell’s widely-distributed gossip column printed an instance of the joke. The punch line was credited to the comedian and actor Frank Fay who was engaged in a sharp disagreement with an interior decorator: 3

“Mr. Fay, is this going to be a battle of wits?”
“If it is,” was the indifferent retort, “you have come unarmed!”

I will call it a day..as your naivety is somewhat astounding...

Yes...again you and yours are naïve if you think Obama is going to do anything harmful toward Hillary's attempt for the White House...
so.....if Obummer prohibits our generals from.....doing....their job....and gives billions of money to Iran.....so they......can fund terrorist groups.....your contention is....that....this helps....Hillary?

Ben Rothlisberger asked not to be drafted by Trump

But other than Brady a few of the others will want to do the same...

My contention is you all mocking my posting style tells me you are on the ropes and desperate....Your boy got caught with his pants down....and yes he/she is not going to let our generals go full war as they would need to do to defeat ISIS, when the creator of ISIS, Hillary is campaigning for the presidency. In regards to helping Hillary, if you mean Trump catching her in the Polls than yes..

I think your.....posting style.....is very cool.....imitation is the sincerest....form of.....flattery.  Also....ISIS was created by....the lies told by......W.....to get us into.....a war we.....had no business.....waging.....leaving a power vacuum....in place....I don't think.....Hillary created......ISIS as an amusement....or a side project......in her spare....time.
