****OFFICIAL DYNASTY TRADES**** (18 Viewers)

Sold Tyreek Hill for Amari Cooper yesterday.  Sent out offers for both Cooper and Diggs in a 2-copy league.  Owner who took the deal is pretty stacked at WR and willing to take the risk.

I think Gurley is tough because owners don't want to give him away and owners that are inquiring are trying to get him for under full value.  The price point is tough to hit.
I've traded him twice, have posted the trades here.  When I traded him I put a price point on him around player 5 give or take, that price point seems reasonable. I had other parts in the trade offers to make it work but first trade offer I sent out with him in it got accepted within minutes of me sending and second one took just a little negotiation but that was mainly over other players in the deal.  Trying to say was pretty easy to move him and get what I felt was solid value but I was not trying to price him like a guy who with a few weeks to go in the season as in convo with Barkely for 1.1 and at worst probably 1.2 for high majority of people.

I'm in a startup right now and Tyreek is still on the board, while Cooper just went off the board at 2.09.  I expect Diggs to follow pretty soon as well with Hill sitting there for a while.

Start up is a little different animal though. Gonna be some stronger teams in formed leagues who can take a chance on Hill and pay a bit more. Nobody wants to start behind the eight ball in a start up. Be curious how far he drops.

Yes, QBs have very low value in non-SF FFPC leagues.  12 teams and short benches.
Exactly. Keep only16 players in FFPC, and 2 of them are a mandatory K and D, so it's really only Keep 14.

Add to that the TE-premium format, you might keep an extra TE than you would usually do.

So with those 14 keepers, I'd ideally keep 1QB, 5RBs, 5WRs, 2TEs...that's 13. So put that 14th keeper wherever makes sense based on your roster, and most would probably NOT chose a 2nd QB to keep. (I'd personally keep a good 3rd TE if I had a candidate, or a pass-catching RB, but I have old-school-RB-hoarding-bias)

For my specific team, I have both Luck and Cam and I feel like I have "too many" QBs but I have to keep them both since I'll get close to no interest in trading Cam.

FFPC:

2019 2.05, 2020 5th

for

Baker Mayfield, 2020 4th
Good price. I offered 2.3/2.9 and threw in Brady for Mayfield since the guy had Mahomes. Offer sat for 4 days and then that owner moved Mahomes and Goedert for David Johnson and swatted me down.  I offered same thing for Luck to no avail.

Middling QB's hold very little value in FFPC but there are about 4-5 I put solid value on, a value worth twice what you paid for Baker IMO.

Agree with all the above comments regarding FFPC and QB value. I would add that despite the depressed value, there always seem to be at least a couple owners that place a higher value on them and will hoard a few. I've managed to make a lot of hay out of wheeling and dealing QBs. I will often use a mid tier QB (that I have no plan on keeping through offseason cuts - even if it is midseason) as an add in chip in a deal I want to get done. It will probably look like an overpay on my end but in reality I'm getting value for someone I was going to cut. It doesn't have to be with one of those owners that value them higher, either. I mean Baker for a mid second is cheap enough for any owner that feels they need a QB. I think he could have gone for more but it *is* really hard to keep a 2nd QB through cuts. Getting a good deal done is far better than cutting trade value from your roster.

I think sometimes QBs are undervalued in 1 QB leagues, especially the elite ones.
I agree about undervalued in general, especially in rookie drafts.  Elite ones seem to hold a bit more value in my leagues, or owners don't want to move them since they only have to roster 2 QBs if one is elite (huge plus).  The only times I continually see value go up is when I try to trade for one.

good point. In another Keep 13 league I'm in, I had Rodgers and Goff, and drafted Mayfield in the FIFTH! round (QBs drop like crazy in that league and the value there was ridiculous imo) but the moment that Mayfield had his first big game, I sent out an offer to a QB-loving owner in my league and he sent me his 2019 1st for him (ended up being the 1.3!).  All you need is one or two QB-valuing owners to turn young "hopeful stud" QBs into future 1st's or 2nd's if you play it right and get a little lucky.

This happened tonight, relevant to the FFPC QB topic, and Baker at that.

12 team FFPC rules (PPR, TE 1.5, cut to 16 before rookie draft)

Team A gives Ebron, Mayfield

Team B gives AJ Green, Josh Gordon, Ian Thomas, 1.08

Not involved but Team A has Mahomes and will not be keeping a second QB. Team B only had Jimmy G and Manning at QB so picking up Mayfield is certainly a plus. With his roster he will likely keep two.  He is down to 18 now, I think Manning is an autodrop which means he needs to drop one of the following to keep Jimmy G (since he is obviously keeping Mayfield):

Blake Jarwin, ASJ, Ravens or Jaguars. Pretty easy to keep a 2nd QB for him.

My team in this league - the choice for who I would have to cut for a 2nd QB (I have Rodgers) would come between Dede Westbrook or Jordan Reed. There is a near zero chance I would be keeping a 2nd QB for my roster here. I'm not huge on either Reed or Westbrook but I wouldn't want to cut them for a QB that I *might* not even start on Rodgers bye. Anyway, once the roster limits expand back to 20, I'll pick up a QB for the season.

SMH - the guy that shipped Ebron and Mayfield now has 25 roster spots taken (we allow this prior to the cutdown, I don't know if the actual FFPC does or not). So he needs to cut 9 and it isn't going to be pretty. He is one of the least active traders and complains (####### constantly) about how lame it is to have to cut to 16.

This. Maybe not in ffpc format when it comes to keeper decisions. But I routinely find a way to turn some 3rd rd pick into something better- it’s just about timing. I’m the last few years in various leagues have moved mariota for a 1st (don’t know where MM was drafted, took over team) trubisky for guice last year (teams qb and backup went down and was on cusp of playoffs), even Cody Kessler for a 5th in an idp league (16 teams, Kessler was a starter and guy had no backup.) I also traded for mahomes before last year- and now may trade mahomes while his stock is still high (reek news probably hasn’t hit mahomes stock yet imo, until he’s actually suspended.) So while the going notion is that “qbs are a dime a dozen and not worth much”  that may not be the case in season. Nothing like turning a ww pickup into an extra pick.

That said I don’t think I’ll ever be one to use a 1st or early 2nd on a qb,

FFPC

Gave

Westbrook, Dede

for

Brown, John
2020 3rd Round
2020 4th Round
2019 Pick 5.10

I like Westbrook a little more, especially long term, but Brown might be as good or better this yr and not counting on either anyway so y not take the picks.

I know this is for completed trades but I can't seem to hit the accept/reject button, would you guys mind giving feedback? 12 team PPR dynasty

Give: Kupp and 1.7

Get: T. Hill

I'm not normally a very "risky" FF owner but I'm tempted and the offer is sitting there this morning. Thoughts?

Current roster if that helps:

Ryan, Cousins, Darnold
Gurley, Gordon, Guice, Gio Bernard, Dion Lewis
Julio, Kupp, Lockett, Crowder, Shepard, Callaway, Moncrief, Hogan, Nelson, Rogers
Eifert, Reed, McDonald, Ian Thomas
Picks: 1.7, 2.7, 3.7, 4.7

That's where I am.  Middling QB's are all over the place and the difference between Big Ben's points and Cousins' just isn't worth a significant investment.  However when a guy looks like he might be a difference maker you gotta jump at those prices.  A 2nd for potentially the next Brees?  At age 23?  All. Day. Long.

I like this for you. Howard is losing value and you slide back for a guy you may have to wait a year for.

Thanks although I do really love Howard moving forward. I know Arians hasn't been big with his TEs in the past, but I don't think he's had a talent and physical freak like Howard either. Since I own shares of Howard in a lot of leagues, praying he blows up :)

Saw another Tyreek deal so I wanted to say that he ended up going 3.11 in my startup for those that care

How could anyone love Howard going forward?  Didn't he digress last year with a 3.7 ypc and < 1000 yds?  20 receptions for 145 yards and 0 TDs?   I can see the Bears opening it up more with Trubisky.
I'm talking about OJ Howard, not the fat slow bears RB Howard ;)

Since he mentioned Arians not using TEs in the past, it looks like we're talking OJ Howard.

Can you guys go over to the AF thread and give your thoughts on me trading Kupp and 1.7 for T. Hill? ZERO responses there but this thread is active and awesome. ;)

Nice job selling and maximizing the overvalued for the undervalued!

Murray/1.01 > Lamar

Bell > Connor (Close, but I prefer Bell since I think he gets fed a lot.  Pitt's O will really miss Brown and teams will stack against Connor, but I won't argue if someone prefers him due to age/wear)

Pettis > Allison (Based consensus rankings and trade value, but Allison is ridiculously undervalued.  I wouldn't be surprised to see Allison post a better numbers next year)

2.01 > 2.05

Can you post the picks before the 3.11?
From 2.03 on

Mike Evans, Melvin Gordon, Lev Bell, Mixon, Mahomes, James Conner, Amari Cooper, Dalvin Cook, DJ, Stefon Diggs, Sony Michel, Derrius Guice, Julio, AB, Derrick Henry, Keenan Allen, Kerryon Johnson, Adam Thielen, Kenny Golladay, Brandin Cooks
