Never said fluke. Just said not elite until more proof. You’re telling me you’ve never seen a 1 year wonder? Anyone can buy in on 1 year’s wonder of stats and get burned.
I do not consider Deebo a fluke. I have concerns about his repeating this kind of production with Lance, and I have concerns about his well being taking that kind of punishment.
Deebo is good. He had a fabulous year.farfromforgotten said:I view him being QB proof as long as said QB can put the ball into his hands at a reasonable rate.
People must see a different Deebo than I do.
Lookin' like a bad trade now that the testing is done. This guy could see Hall and Walker both go, and be stuck with Spiller or a wide receiver.FFPC standard

I've heard -- and I agree -- that in dynasty, if you have to pick early, you pick RB. You just do. It's easier, sure, to build for long-term around a WR, but scarcity tells you you've got to go RB, I think. Whatever. It's an interesting thought. But I hate this trade -- trading out of the 1.01 and dropping a tier.
Sorry man, I don't think it's awful or too bad, per se. And the calcs might very well favor what you did. I just would rather be in the catbird seat until the draft with Hall testing better than even Saquon Barkley. That's all. If you asked me days ago, I'd have said "sure" to that swap, because all along we've heard that the 1.01 hasn't stood out at all. But that changed."Bad" trade might be pushing it.
Truth be told, I acquired the 3 and 5 here.
I am also not of the opinion that you have to take RB at the top of rookie drafts, at all.
I would have no problem being "stuck" with two of the top 3 WRs in this class.
Also truth be told, I made the deal before reading the Breece Hall thread, lol. However I knew something was up when I got a different offer from the guy for 1.01. I countered and he accepted. No regerts.....
I am hoping to use pick 5 in trade for an established RB. I have picks 3,4,5 now
It might have been better to wait. It might not.Why not wait until the draft to make positional moves like you did? Wouldn't it have been better to wait?
I would have preferred the 1.1.FFPC standard

Maybe I'm in the minority but I'd easily take the 1.03/1.05. The draft will have a couple of top RB prospects go to solid spots and at worst you get the top WR (which I may have taken at 1.01 anyway), and the 1.05 is a great chip. I keep hearing how bad this draft is then I look at the WRs and think they're a very good group.FFPC standard

To be fair, based on “everything” it’s an overpay. I get the one side has more risk but I think you downplay some of the risk on the Deebo side. Those risks have been stated already in here.Buckna said:Based on market value it's an overpay, but I'd rather have Deebo not taking market value into account. I've seen Deebo ranked as high as 8th overall in startups and WR6, and he only turned 26 six weeks ago so while not 'young' he's not old either. There may be hiccups with Lance and he may bust but it's not like Garoppolo was a stud either. Akers is a major question mark and a polarizing player. He's being ranked early and highly valued in calculators (not quite where he was pre-injury but getting closer), but I can't trade him away for anything near that high a value in the leagues I own him in. Lots of folks questioning the injury still and his playoff performance. FWIW, one of the calculators I plugged this into has it as an overpay by St Brown.
Almost said you won in a landslide but saw its SF....all comes down to Watson I guess. But Cook to Taylor and Godwin to Hill is HUGE for you.12 team 0.5 PPR Superflex

I can only imagine the elation of the other league members seeing him go there. Sitting at 9 deciding between 20 guys & dude at 8 takes Samuel. Dream come true.Deebo 8th overall in a startup would be horrible
At first glance, I thought the pick side was better. The more I think about it the closer this looks. I think it depends on how you think Akers will look long term.12 team ppr

Team B gives 1.04, 1.07
Probably about right, but I believe I’d take the picks.12 team ppr

The deal was actually 23' 1st, and the 22 1.07, I read it wrong. I agree tho, its very close and could be a bad one if akers balls out. It said 1.04 because thats where the owner picks in the 22 draft, but it is essentially random I supposeAt first glance, I thought the pick side was better. I said “as high as” 8th overall and WR6. Per DLF, his Startup ADP currently is 13th overall and WR7 so not a whole lot of difference so I can’t agree with your off-the-cuff dismissal of Deebo being some ridiculous pick there. ADP can vary per source so let’s look at names instead:I can only imagine the elation of the other league members seeing him go there. Sitting at 9 deciding between 20 guys & dude at 8 takes Samuel. Outside of Taylor, I'm not sure I'd take any of those RBs in the 1st of a startup. I think Deebo is in a tier behind Jefferson, Chase, and AJ. After they're off the board, I could absolutely see Deebo taken.I said “as high as” 8th overall and WR6. Who else would you for certain take ahead of Deebo at that point? Tyreek Hill definitely for me, probably Mixon, who else? You can make an argument for Samuel instead of Javonte for certain, AJB or Metcalf or Waddle would come down to personal preference on those WR’s IMO. Each of those guys has some similar risk factors to Samuel. I can’t see anyone not going Kupp after the year Kupp had but he does turn 29 this year which would give some pause. Cook & Ekeler getting up there for RB’s and can’t stay healthy. Chubb still has Hunt and getting up there for a RB too. Adams for sure IF we knew both he & Rodgers are staying in GB. Higgins has Chase capping his upside. Who is Diontae’s QB going to be? Henry is 28. TE required league maybe Andrews but Kelce at 33 years old? Mahomes or Allen even in a 1 QB league?
Im a believer in Breece Hall, have loved him the past two years"Bad" trade might be pushing it.

I am 100% with you on this opinion. These are guys I would take over Deebo (potentially a couple of them I might prefer Deebo if my team sucked and needed to rebuild). There are also some guys who I might like Chubb, Montgomery, Ekeler, Mcclaurin., Diggs, Godwin, Adams.....
Dalvin Cook, Jonathan Taylor, Swift, Najee Harris, Derick henry, Barkley, Javante Williams, CMC
DK Metcalf, Tyreek Hill, AJ Brown, Jaylen Waddle, Ceedee Lamb, Cooper Kupp, Justin Jefferson, Jamaar Chase
Kyle Pitts, Mark Andrews
There is 18 plus a handful of guys I can easily see over Deebo.
I would also take rookie pick 1.01 over Deebo right now.
Yeah, pick 8 is silly. Trade down to pick 20 for a lot of extra value and either still get Deebo or a similar value guy
Pick 7 rather easilyZealots PPR, IDP, 1 QB:

I don't really have a big opinion on the players in the range of 7 to 15-ish so 7 vs 13 really isn't a huge difference. Also, being IDP, adding pick 3.01 is rather significant for those purposes.Pick 7 rather easily
Not “crushed by Jefferson! Mauled by Jefferson?”Justin. Not Van or Jermar. I will edit it.
In a 1 QB league, anything you can get for Wentz is worth it pretty much. 1/5 of your budget and a 3rd in a deep draft isn't bad. Funny how far he has fallen.12 team PPR dynasty (1qb league)

I totally agree with this. I have 1.3 and would love to move it for 1.1. I'm going to be stuck with Spiller or a WR. RBs are too hard to come by. I would always hold 1.1 unless I got a haul.Lookin' like a bad trade now that the testing is done. This guy could see Hall and Walker both go, and be stuck with Spiller or a wide receiver.

Oops - chase young.Zealots 51 person roster, 1 QB, Nine IDP staters (3 DL, 3 LB, 3 DB)

How so?Team B should be censored by the UN for war crimes. This might even be worthy of sanctions & official condemnation.
My bad - wait - I was in a hurry earlier & saw “chase” and not “young”.How so?
