People say this all the time but it depends on the 1sts.

Here I give you picks 10, 11, 12 this year for Chase you taking that ?  That's 3 1st.

Or even if I gave you picks 7, 9 and 11 are you taking that for Jefferson or Chase or Taylor ?

I think not.

Also what if they are 3 projected late 2023 1st.  You can't always project them but in most leagues sometimes you can tell if a team will be playoff or not.

I have traded 3 1st round picks + a few times in my league once it worked out (Got Tomlinson in his prime) the other did not work out (Got Priest Holmes then he promptly broke his hip)

Also This year I basically gave up 3 1st to get Chase everyone on here said I won the trade.

I gave but Breece Hall, Skyy Moore and 2.01 for Chase. 

I took Hall 1.01, Moore went 1.09 plus the 2.01.  

Hall is worth at least 2 1st round picks considering he is 1.01 and goes in the 10-15 in startups.

So I gave up more than 3 1st in value for Chase a few weeks ago not 1 person on here said they would take the Hall side that I can recall.

Yeah, but he gave up four 2023 1sts, two 2nds, and another 1st.  Let's not forget the great MILES SANDERS.

No way in hell I take picks 7, 9, and 11 for Chase.  You might as well be playing for picks every year instead of stud young WRs.  Last I checked Chase was only in his 2nd year.  Now if those picks were two of the top three, OK, but it's not in that scenario.  To me there are the big 5 in 2023.  Robinson, JSN, Boutte, Gibbs, and Evans.  After that, you might as well keep Chase.

Yeah. I mean, it’s incredibly close. Splitting hairs almost. Jefferson is likely QB-proof, but it’s hard to say that before the Vikings have a replacement for Cousins.

Nope, not including a TE in that group, and especially the guy with the better name than he is as a player.  Evans was in that group of 5.  Tucker is a wildcard.  You already have arguably the best WR in Chase and he’s very young, so why chase Chase with picks 7, 9, and 11?  You sound like one of those guys that has to have a lot of picks every year, even at the expense of a stud you drafted last year.  People like that play for the draft instead of a title.

Other team lost in the championship last year and is going all in for one more run this year.  He now had Adams, Kupp, and Jefferson to start.  I think he’s weak at RB and now he doesn’t have any assets (picks) to trade during the year.  I think he would have been better off trading off the picks separately during the season.

Nobody has complained about it yet. I think they know the other guy doesn’t have any other assets to improve now so they’re ok with it lol. He’s been in the championship the last two years and still hasn’t won lol.

It’s just such a monumental investment in one player. I predict a terrible future for him. Not to mention if JJ pulls/strains a [insert muscle/tendon/joint here] and misses any time, yikes. 

So pure desperation play to push all-in on a ‘ship?  Did JJ give him a legit shot at winning it all this year? 

I can’t believe someone who’s been successful would pay that.

That’s a huge trade.

I love Javonte, but Lance value isn’t great in that format, Carter is kinda meh with Hall there, Pollard is nice but yeah, team B fairly easily for me.

If he puts up the same numbers as last year or better be could well be top 10. That’s why I’d be fine with him 7-10 range. He’s 250 with wingspan, he can block, and he’s been comp’d to Kittle by more than one analyst. He’s likely to be a 1st round dynasty pick, IMO

fair take. I won’t tell you how to value guys. I love Chase. But I could probably turn 2 of those 1sts into a top 5 pick, and still take a potential TE of the future, a really nice WR or a RB.

Not on monster targets or catches.  Averaged 18 yards a catch and had 5 TDs of over 50 yards.  Not easy to repeat those two stats.

I love both of them but the comment was why I prefer Jefferson slightly in dynasty despite Chase having a superior QB option for the foreseeable future.  Higgins will get his as will Boyd on a smaller scale.  If they throw the ball more this year and Chase's targets go up to 160-170 range, then it might be a trade I regret. But they almost won the super bowl last year with a balanced offense, so don't expect a major change there.  

But the Vikings are expected to be more pass heavy this year with Zimmer gone, so Jefferson's targets could reach the crazy 190-200 range.

Sorry, but comparing Theilen at this point in his career and Osborn at this point in his career to Higgins and Boyd is stretching it IMO.  Higgins is a top 10 type receiver in his own right so while Chase is a superior target, far superior is a reach.  Theilen is not near top 10 at this point in his career, although still a very good red zone target. Jefferson is clearly the man.

Being able to turn the 1.10 and my 2023 1st into an excellent chance for the top overall pick in 2023 was big for me.  If I can land JSN, any regrets I have trading Chase will be removed.

I think you are all right.  Way light for Evans, Ridley's hate has gone a little too far, I don't think he will ever be as relevant again but do think he could be a playable asset in the future but it will be for a team other than the ATL.  Also, a bad move for a rebuild team at 28.  He could also turn in to the new AB where he just has issues on top of issues.

I love Jefferson and think he might be the best asset in Dynasty fantasy football.  I'd pay a ton for him if it made sense but this is way too much.  Like the 4 1sts next year might be a touch too much depending on where they land.  This is a free 24 1st/Sanders, and 2 2nd.

Just wow.  That is a haul I never thought I'd seen paid for a single player.  Even one on JJ's level.

How were you torn about this?  That was more than he should have paid for Jefferson and Lamb together.  I don't care the player, you get offered 4 1sts, 2 2nds, and a starting RB for one player and there should be no question.

These seems extremely light even in SF.  I agree that it would look better if 2.08 and 3.01 weren't included and knowing where the 1st would be does help but I'd want a 23 1st included in that to make that trade for JJ.  Maybe in place of 3.02, even if I wasn't giving picks back.

Not a fan of this deal...I get the need for a QB in SF but if I am dealing Jefferson, I want someone who is 100% established and is going to have the job for a long time...Wilson could end up being that, but I am not risking Jefferson just in-case it does not happen...the #2 is a nice get but when I look at the other picks it just doesn't do enough for me to want to give up one of the top Dynasty assets there is.

I don't play SF so I may be way off here but Wilson is at least a tier or two down from the type of QB that JJ should command I'd think.  I'd think you'd need someone in the 6-10 tier at a minimum to pair with the 1.02 to make this worth giving up Jefferson.
