I'm actually the owner getting Meyers. I would have likely had to cut either Elliott or Darnold before the season starts anyway as I have some roster size issues.

12 team, .5 PPR, start 1QB/1RB/2WR/2Flex/1TE and we just had our rookie draft. At the draft I made this trade:
1.06 (Jonathan Brooks to a very RB needy team) and a 2025 1st (finished top 4 the last 4 years with 2 chips so will be late)
for
1.07 (Brian Thomas) and 1.08 (Ladd McConkey)
Thoughts on the trade and Did I make a mistake taking Ladd over Trey Benson in a .5 PPR league? I already got Thomas and ended up getting Pearsall at 2.05.

I'd say this was a steal for you personally. I don't play IDP but that 6.04 is not nothing in that type of league from what I've heard. Mayer could still have value as I expect Bowers to play more of a hybrid TE/Slot type role, and Rice won't get that many games for his issues. Most likely he doesn't even get suspended this year. I would do that all day.

I am just looking for some pre-draft trade help. Trading in this league has been historically difficult and just want to see what everyone thinks of this trade before it goes down.

Not great, but I think I can draft a QB with 1.10 or I can trade 1.10 for a QB. In the end, I think Jayden Daniels, Caleb Williams (likely gone by the time I draft), JJ McCarthy could present the same fantasy points that I am losing with trading Tua. I have a handshake deal with another GM of potentially acquiring Lamar Jackson for 1.10 and some other smaller pieces.

Better for the value topic, but I’m not a big fan of moving Dionte + Pittman and only having Kendre & a rookie RB in return.
Those two WR should net you much better RBs than that.

I think you're just fine with Kyler personally.
I'd be taking or trading for an RB, WR (or maybe TE) with that 1.10. You definitely don't need two high tier QB's in this format.

Yeah, I think Kyler is gonna have a good year. In a 1QB league I have Jackson/Carr/Levis and just drafted Penix in the 4th. Personally, I’m trying to tier down from Jackson to Murray and a 25 2nd or something along those lines. Dont need Kyler and Jackson imo. Maybe mid season if you are contending and Kyler gets a long term injury a move might have to be made but surely the poster in question has some form of reasonable bye/bad matchup filler that can be used on occasion
Reed & 1.08 is a slam dunk for me.

I don’t disagree that it’s fair - it just doesn’t solve the problem.
Pittman or Dionte should net him a quality RB alone. Together he could get a higher tier option.

Yeah that's a great deal for you.
I just don't think you need to do this. Kyler is a top 10 QB.
I think what I'd be doing if I was you is packaging picks and players to move up in the draft or upgrading WR's or RB's.
The difference between Murray and Lamar is fairly negligible in a single QB and adding another good QB to your roster doesn't put more points in your lineup, upgrading your skill positions does.

If that pick gets him Brooks I think it solves the problem. But it's not certain if that will happen. Kendre is a nice get, but still jist a prospect.
When you say you're thin at RB, that could mean different things ... Whom do you actually have at RB?

I view Kendre Miller as more of an investment in the future. How long can Kamara continue to do it? If Kamara suffers an injury and Miller performs - Miller's price skyrockets.
The 4 flex positions are difficult, because they create depth issues in 10 team leagues. I think this trade gives me a steady rotation of: AJ Brown, Jamar Chase, Jaylen Waddle, Zay Flowers and a mix of JSN, Jeudy, Tank Dell and Jayden Reed.
I acquire a RB with 1.08 or can package 1.08 + 1.10 for a better RB?
@eighsse2 - I have two studs: Bijan and Breece Hall and after that depth is Ezekiel Elliott, Kenneth Gainwell, Antonio Gibson. So, depth is a serious issue while starting caliber talent really isn't.
*edit* I cut my losses 3 years ago and completely rebuilt. I sold Mike Evans, CMC, Julio Jones (I think that was the start of his first awful year) and took a ton of picks. I finally won it all last year and want to keep the good vibes going.
KeepTradeCut has 1.08 + 1.10 worth quite a bit. It turns out I could acquire either Bijan or Breece for those picks. If I don't end up with Jonathon Brooks, I could still have Jayden Reed, Kendre Miller and (insert RB here) at the cost of my QB2, WR4 and Diontae Johnson who will probably rarely see my lineup?

The way I see it is;
Diontae for Jayden Reed is about equal.
Pittman for 1.08 is about equal.
If you've got a superior option, Tua for Kendre I'd rather have the RB prospect.
It makes sense to make these moves if you're utterly loaded at WR. It makes even more sense if trades are hard to come by.
I'd be putting 1.10 and 1.08 together and trying to get to 4 or 5 for Brooks, but there are a lot of options available with the amount of pieces he has here and picks are always appealing when you're making trades.

The price is good. The target is risky. I am avoiding Brooks, but what do I know. I have avoided some other successful rookies. I would prefer trading back and picking an RB in the late first or early second range (1 QB, ppr drafts).

In theory, this seems plausible but I haven't seen this to be true. I offered Pittman and Diontae Johnson for ETN and the owner replied "It'll be pretty hard for me to get rid of ETN".
That owner has Brandin Cooks, Deebo Samuel, Shaheed in his starting lineup. I don't know what to think anymore... that trade should have been enough to open the doors for conversation at least.

Hey man, depth is a thing... I am one RB injury from middle of the road.
In all seriousness, I have tried to stay ahead of declines and sold guys that ended up having good years (regret selling CMC but that's life and I ended up with a lot of players because of that trade). I am just looking for RB depth but I do think having Bijan and Breece works against me in trades because people don't want to give me another stud RB because I will probably run this league for the next 3 years.

I'm not such a big believer in depth personally. But I play in a 14 teamer where it's infinitely more difficult to acquire multiple high level starters at one position.
I'm all about making my ideal starting lineup as premium as I possibly can. If injuries happen then so be it, but I genuinely think having an elite starting 9-12 players gives me a superior chance of winning over more depth. You obviously need someone to fill in but I'd sacrifice depth for an upgrade.
Your team is smashing it either way dude. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Glad I asked the question, haha! Even so, in your case I totally understand wanting to acquire a solid third or even fourth option, when you have a glut of solid-to-great WR. I would probably not make the trade. But I don't hate it.

I appreciate your responses. I agree with having the strongest starters but when I decided to tear the team down to nothing, I decided I would never stop moving. I'm building for this year and the next 2 years. When I have 4 flex spots, I can build that strong starting line-up through RB or WR... I might as well add depth to my RB's because I am so deep at WR. I also think finding a WR will be easier than finding a RB.
My WR's are young and I think Pittman has reached his peak. They are building around him now and he should see less targets. He already outperformed his draft stock and if I can get a return on him, I think I should. I have shopped Tank Dell for the same reason. Diontae Johnson is probably someone I will regret shipping out, because I think he is a target hog and will be Bryce Young's safety blanket.
This conversation has allowed me to rethink my draft position and potential to trade up with Pittman and 1.10 for a better RB. I still don't know what the hell I am going to do, but... gotta do something.

In that situation I'd probably be looking to deal a Dionte for someone like Monty. RB2 type who will provide value/injury ins. Easier trade to work out than targeting a stud in a format where those players are even more valuable.

I might actually rather have Kendre than Montgomery. I prefer someone with potential for years to come, but I do have a tendency to lean that way to a fault. I just never want a fading asset on my team, but one or two are okay for insurance purposes. If I only have two dyansty-wise studs at RB, I'm looking for a third. Probably looking to stack guys and picks up for a top 10 dynasty back.

I'd rather have youth at RB. I think Montgomery's stats are at their peak and the decline is coming... I'd be looking to sell him. I would likely pay for an aging vet if I was mid-season and trying to plug and play. I'd really like to own either Tyjae Spears or Kendre Miller (Miller over Spears) but I don't think there is a lot standing in front of them to become relevant fantasy pieces. I've never trusted Pollard to be the guy and how long can Kamara do it? The team make-up for those fantasy teams holding those players could probably use an immediate push, which my receivers would provide.
I think I would be satisfied with trading Pittman for two 2nd round picks this year; problem being - nobody has two picks in the 2nd round this year. Historically, I have just taken what I deem to be BPA and it has served me well, while teams overdrafted RB's, I was able to get guys beyond normal ADP. I had a tremendous WR draft last year, but now I'm struggling with RB depth.

I’m just saying, I’d rather hang onto young WRs and back-up your 2 stud RB on the cheap.
See if you can affordably get Conner, Monty, if ya wanna go a little more high end, maybe RS. Something in that range.
Another creative move would be to get Connor on the cheap, and try to work a deal to get Benson. Then you’ve got the best of both worlds in a contributor + future asset.

Sorry bro but I don’t like the move. It’s fine on value, but you have enough RBs to survive, it’s May, and that 1st could be used near the trade deadline for a RB (or anything) that is healthy and producing.
If Mixon is having a good season and it’s week 11 or whatever, then I like it. Just don’t like making any type of bet on any specific running back at this stage of the calendar. Too many things can go wrong at a high probability.
