Need WRs and I think Coleman could explode this year. Downs is really solid too. I'm strong at TE and not as big of a believer in Ferguson after Pickens went to Dallas, and I also have too many shares of him.

I like the idea of selling high on Nix and buying low on Keon, but respectfully this was the opposite of those things IMO. In this format Nix is currently worth significantly more than that as a 2nd round startup pick. Downs and Keon are more like 8th & 9th round. I’d rather have Nix than the entire other side and shop him for something much better in return… Edit: once again IMO....

Um ok well I didn't say I was trying to sell high on Nix. Those are your words not mine. I believe in him but this was simply a value trade where I needed WRs and I am saying I think the market is way too low on Coleman and Downs. I have this trade as even and so did the first two calcs I looked at. Stafford should provide production for another couple years and if Coleman is who I think he is then I win this trade. Downs is free or maybe 1:1 with Ferguson.

I really really don't like using startup values to gauge a trade. Nobody is paying 2nd/3rd startup value for Nix *except* in a startup. And FWIW in the startup I did about a month ago he went 3.12 as QB15. I do concede it looks like I could have got more though.

Of course this is FF so if you're right against the consensus in fading Nix

All good but as I've tried to emphasize, I'm not fading Nix, I'm just selling him in a deal. I'm a fan.

That makes this trade even more confusing.

It's probably a wash. I think Kittle is more appropriate to value and would probably want more for giving up LaPorta.

Johnson or Harvey would be the targets, unless a Judkins or Henderson slid. But any of those would be fine. I kind of agree with the post about waiting to see who is on the board at 1.07, all the RBs could be gone, and I am SOL, and minus LaPorta.

Agreed. It does seem like a deal you would make on the clock. I guess I would consider Tuten or Skattaboo at 1.12 or 2.04, rather than trading LaPorta.

WR still consist of Justin Jefferson, Brian Thomas, Mike Evans, Jaylen Waddle, Calvin Ridley, Ricky Pearsall, and Pat Bryant. RBs are Barkley, CMC, Henry, and Hall.

I think that is good value for Ladd as he is being hyped up quite a bit and to lock in that value isn't a bad thing. I would though then trade the 1st and 2nd for a player of need that is a stud and you can start all year and then you bank an extra first. Maybe package up Evans or Ridley and a first to tier back up.

It is good value but what can you do with those picks/players to land a stud and then have an extra first in the bank. Great way to build team value but you have to be active to get another starting player who can give you equal value to Ladd but maybe slightly less "worth" if that makes sense.

I am always looking at ways to improve but this being a start 7, I don't need another starter. Starting Baker or Dak, Barkley, Jefferson, Thomas, Henry, CMC, and Kelce. Then have Hall, Evans, Ridley, Waddle, and Pitts on the bench. Just worried those picks are late.

to me, Devonta is the safe play and the upside play, provided your time frame is greater than one year.
Team A is pretty stacked so I understood his preference for DK, but it was an easy accept for me.

Downs is a dynasty target for me. Not to talk out of both sides of my mouth: I don't believe in Richardson, but I figure either he improves or they move on after this season.

I updated the post. I have Bowers and Kincaid, so I wanted to move Andrews before his age became more prohibitive.

My only playable WR's were Chase, Lamb, Jameson. So adding Downs helps shore up the position a little.

I am thinking/hoping Lawrence has a career year with BTJ, Hunter and now Coen as OC given what Coen did with Baker.

But late last night, I see a trade completed with this guy trading the 1.01 and Justin Herbert for 1.11 and a Jayden Daniels. This isn't a SF league, but maybe the dudes mixed up, over-valued Daniels or whatever. It's annoying that one of the true contenders will snatch Jeanty, but there's no trade veto so nothing I can do.

But, I figured if someone else can pull off a winning trade from this guy, I should try as well. So I offer my 1.12 for Rome Odunze to see what happens. He counters by asking for Terry McClaurin on top of the 1.12, which I'm not doing. So I counter back with 1.12 & 2.12 for Rome & 4.01. He accepts immediately, and I feel like I've won the trade, though not by so much as the landslide of the 1.01 trade though.

An hour or so passed and I then see the guy has traded 1.11 (from the 1.01 trade), 1.12 (from the Rome trade) and his existing 2.01, for Trey McBride. Again, like 1QB, this isn't a TEP league, so it's a puzzling trade. Some might say he won that one, but it doesn't really make sense.

In my experience, suckers like this get duped out of their picks just about every year. So, fairly unlikely he will be able to draft Love. In fact, if I were you, I'd start trying to make arrangements for his 2026 1st now lol.

That is just a bad move on his part ... Are they new to Dynasty? Are they young and naive?
To each their own, but sometimes this is the type of trade that builds a single elite team that will compete for a few years.

Anyway, my fear of this sort of activity is they realize how bad their moves were and abandon the team. After sacrificing the potential, they give up and run away.

I agree with @sheerterror and you should target his 2026 pick now while the fever has him.

Losing Jeanty could hurt but I don’t like building teams around RBs. Odunze could be a nice piece. Maybe this guy just wanted to be able to “set and forget” the QB and TE spots?

In a 1 QB league, I'd say that 1st trade should have been vetoed (this wouldn't have been fair even if he hadn't included Herbert). Those types of owners are bad for the league. I'd say you won the Odunze trade pretty easily IMO. The McBride trade could be up in the air but with no TE Prem and Warren or Loveland being available with one of those picks and getting basically 3 late 1sts for him, I'd say this guy easily lost all 3 trades. The league should be trying to get rid of this guy as he is going to orphan this team with no assets within 2 years most likely.

He counters by asking for Terry McClaurin on top of the 1.12, which I'm not doing. So I counter back with 1.12 & 2.12 for Rome & 4.01. He accepts immediately, and I feel like I've won the trade, though not by so much as the landslide of the 1.01 trade though.

An hour or so passed and I then see the guy has traded 1.11 (from the 1.01 trade), 1.12 (from the Rome trade) and his existing 2.01, for Trey McBride. Again, like 1QB, this isn't a TEP league, so it's a puzzling trade. Some might say he won that one, but it doesn't really make sense.

In a 1 QB league, I'd say that 1st trade should have been vetoed (this wouldn't have been fair even if he hadn't included Herbert). Those types of owners are bad for the league. I'd say you won the Odunze trade pretty easily IMO. The McBride trade could be up in the air but with no TE Prem and Warren or Loveland being available with one of those picks and getting basically 3 late 1sts for him, I'd say this guy easily lost all 3 trades. Vetoed? No. Is it unbalanced? Probably.

- Daniels is a consensus top 3 QB already. There's a pretty strong case to be made that he could be in the QB1 conversation for quite a while.
- Jeanty isn't a lock. Only 2 other RBs 5'8" and under have had a top 10 season (MJD had multiple, D Sproles had 1).
- Herbert's numbers upticked toward the end of the season IMO because of the Dobbins injur(ies).
-1.11 in 1QB could end up as a solid+ player (K Johnson, L Burden, M Golden).

If you don’t own Daniels or McBride in your league, SF/TEP or not, I wonder what it would take to pry them from their current owners?

The guy seems to be losing value at the moment, but I think calling him a bad owner is a bit premature. It’s not like he’s exactly made these moves for scrubs or declining assets.
