I'd love to hear Buddy Knuckle and Sliders honest assessment of the Eagles, and particularly McNabb, since the Baltimore game. It would be fascinating to hear them spin it so that they don't have to compliment McNabb's play.
I would love it if they never posted again, same old tired story from them no matter what happens. They are the type of people that make fans around the league think Eagles fans are stupid.Since they are so convinced they are better fans than anyone who supports McNabb, maybe they should have their own Eagles thread where they can talk about what really is going on with the Eagles, since the rest of us have no clue
Sorry dot, no chance of that. You've got to deal with me for as long as there is an eagles team in philly. I know i'm not a better fan than just about anyone else (except for junior over there who i suspect is a steelers fan here to get us riled up). Probably shouldnt have posted that in my little rant, but i get ####ed when people fail to see the truth in front of them. And since when is a dissenting opinion proof of stupidity? You wouldn't happen to a hard core right winger would you? Thats so "43" of you...i dont agree, so i must be stupid, or racist. Next i suppose you'll call me unpatriotic and dismiss my opinion. Anyway, as for junior's request for my assessment of mcnabb since Baltimore, sure i have no problem with that. See, i can honestly look at my team without being a blind follower...Since Baltimore, McNabb has gone 110/171 for 1142 yds , 9tds and 1 INT. Pretty damn good by any standards. But that is not my point and hasnt been for this entire thread. see junior, if you were more interested in looking at the bigger picture instead of hurling insults and winning iArguments, you could see my point. In fact, i was on the McNabb bandwagon until Sept 16, 2008. Go ahead, look up the post in this thread...i'll wait. And of course, here is the main issue i have with McNabb. Something i have been saying consistently on this thread since i came to the realization of his limitations:
Donovan...chokes...in...the...clutch.Need more? Ok, this may hurt a bit...5 is the perfect QB for a philly sports team. He makes unbelievable plays, stomps on weak teams, and wins a lot of games. And then, when it matters most, when its time to bring a championship home to a city that desperately needs one, he will crush you. He will destroy your hopes and dreams of a parade down broad street with yet another bone headed mistake, mental fumble, or puke-fest in the huddle. He will gasp for breath, hands on his knees, showing us all what he had for lucnh that day. He will flash that smile when he misses yet another wide open receiver or bounces another ground ball down the field. Its ok though, why would anyone expect a guy with a 9 figure contract to step up and be the best?So yeah, lay off McNabb, he is exactly what you have come to expect from your sports teams and stars...second best.
thankfully the phils won this year and took the edge off the "little brother" complex in Philly. but i have faith that McChoke will come through and show his true colors.
