I'm sick and tired of people who still can't spell "Favre" correctly after all these years.
My favorite team isn't even an NFL team. The only thing Farve has burned is the Green Bay Packers for staying around so long....and Javon Walker's chances for that big long-term contract. Brett Farve meet Julius Peppers tonight, please.Interpretation - Favre has burned my favorite team many times and I'm bitter.

So could Jerry Rice but not consistantly enough to help out a team significantly. I heard Michael Irvin today talking about the Packers might need to bench him sometime this year to look at Rodgers. Even Favre has stated it could happen. Is this a sign to you that maybe he should hang it up?

If he wasn't so great, he wouldn't have so many interviews, right? The guy is a legend and I am far from a Packer fan. I'd like him on my team...I've seen him play live and his arm is unbelievable, not to mention his toughness. He always plays. It's been a while since I've been on this board, but I do remember your posts as being divisive. It's nice to see things don't change.

Interviews is the criteria now if you can play? Guess I will call up Montana and Rice to play starting qb and wr because I'm sure they don't have problems getting interviews if they want them. Brett Favre was great but he is average now. Jerry Rice was great but certainly is not a starting wr anymore. Favre used to be someone to fear, now people know he will give the defense as many opportunities at TOs as he will give his own team at a big play.

I'll take your back and agree with you. Kind of.I'm growing weary of his daily "woe is me" press conference, where every word is delivered in measured monotones. Don't like the way your team looks? Quit football and go dig ditches for a living. Your father passed away? Mine did, too. Your wife had cancer? So did my mother. It's called life. Suck it up and stop holding press conferences every five seconds to give updates on your misery. You've made enough money to ensure that the next ten generations of Favre's live in luxury. Things aren't so bad, pal.
While I'm at it....
He is THE single most overrated "superstar" in any sport. He cost his team more big games than he won for them. If it wasn't for Desmond Howard, he'd have no rings.

TO is caught on camera talking in a fierce tone to DMac on the sidelines and its a bad thing. Favre is caught on camera talking in a fierce tone to RF and he is a motivator.I just dont understand it. I would never throw the race card out there, but damn it just doesnt make sense why Favre gets this free ride out there and others get a ride on the media circus feeding frenzy.

PS - Dont just blame Madden either You know favre agrees with you about the amount of attention that he has recived for the negative things that have happened to him. Just after the hurricane he told the media in green bay that terrible things happen to people all the time but most of us dont have nationally televised games the following week or media members eager to talk about how we feel about them. aparently the thing you really dont like about Favre is that he always takes the time to answer those questions even when they are uncomfortable for him.

Probably about 100 reasons why there's a difference but one of the biggest would be the fact that McNabb is an All-Pro and Ferguson is a worthless WR who keeps making monumental blunders that hurt the Packers significantly.

But this is the first you've heard of my personal tragedies, isn't it? I didn't bring them up to garner sympathy, but rather to establish a point. The point being that we all have been touched by difficulties in our lives. I don't need to hear about Favre's troubles every day, and HE is the one who brings them up quite often -- not the media.You can stop playing amateur psychologist now.Good Lord, what's the deal here? I've been shouting Favre's downhill spiral ever since they were destroyed at home in the playoffs vs ATL when EVERYONE picks GB cause they never lose at home. Seriously, while Farve has been a big part of their wins he is also a big part of their losses. People would call me crazy, rip me and would tell me to go home. Where are they now? Come on and please continue to blame everyone else and not Farve. A QB who throws for a lot of yards and a lot of TDs but ALSO a lot of INT to me doesn't mean he is elite. What's also poor about Farve is that he has NEVER improved his game on cutting down idiot throws into triple coverage. Instead you would get from the likes of Madden "hahah well that's Farve for ya!!! hahahah"Edit: throw in his bad character issues in the past, I find it comical that he gets so much love while some other current players get ripped for ONLY showboating.

Gawd would you give it a rest... seriously. No offense but your ranting about Favre year in and year out is quite tiresome. Bring facts about his play as to his "downfall" and maybe someone will listen to your argument but until then grow up. Favre lead the league two years ago in TD's... a guy who is "losing it" does not lead the league in a stat that matters for all QB's. Yeah, his INT's are up this year but even the one tonight should be pinned on Ferguson and if you or anyone else thinks so you know very little about football. That was not Favre's fault at all and if you, for some reason, didnt hate him so much you would realize that.Like I said, grow up until you can make a reasonable argument.

The difference is that TO came across as a selfish crybaby because he was whining to McNabb about not getting the ball thrown to HIM. Favre came across as someone who was laying into his receiver who should have fought for a reception and come up with a catch. Seems like night and day to me.
