How ####ty is it to sleep with some other dude's fiance when

A) you don't know him

B) you'll likely never see the girl again

C) they're clearly having problems and probably won't end up married anyway (In my opinion)

I always shied away in these situations and even got pissed when I found out later that a girl I hooked up with was married or had a bf. That's just me; plenty of guys have no issue with it. Seems like your conscience was bothering you all night, so you put it out there. In my opinion you did the right thing. She could've said, actually, the relationship with the fiancé is on shaky ground anyway, then given you the green light. But she didn't. She still cares about the dude. We can put aside how thoughtless it is to forget about your fiancé all night until someone brings it up, but she was pretty drunk too.And I know plenty of people believe the onus falls only on the attached person, and if I turn it down they'd go bang someone else anyway. Just me personally, I think it's a #### move to bang someone else's chick.

Yeah, this is kind where my head is at on this one. Their engagement probably isn't going to work out anyway (This girl was going way beyond just being "naturally flirty". Yep. But even there there's no guarantee. There should be a story from way early in this thread of one of my first idates. Met with a chick who had full body photos and was a super attractive blonde. Got excited and stupid young me set up a reservation at a really nice restaurant that I couldn't afford.* She shows up and, while I recognized the face, she was easily thirty to fifty pounds heavier than she represented in her pictures.

Pissed me off enough that I quickly made up some BS line about there being a mess up with our reservation and suggested we head across the street to a Starbucks instead. She had a gift card so I didn't offer to pay. Spent about 15 minutes with her and bailed. She was noticeably disappointed and had dressed nice and such, but I only felt slightly bad about it since I felt like she lied to me. What's funny too is that she actually didn't look that terrible and, frankly, since I dig a little bit of weight on a girl, had she actually showed current photos on her profile from the start I probably would have still gone out with her. I even considered sending her a message suggesting she update her pictures and that they are misleading, but figured I had nothing to gain from it.

Okay. I guess I should have clarified. Obviously only call if it seems obvious/non-creepy to do so. Usually, this seemed somewhat practical if I was running late or, after a series of brief but good text messages, I had some success calling to close. Nonetheless, do NOT initiate anything with a phone call. A few short, direct, and somewhat witty texts are the way to go. Do NOT carry on long phone conversations either. So much more effective to be efficient with all communication and send the message that you have a bunch of important #### going on and such.

ETA: Again, to those of you doing this, to be clear, and assuming the girl is <35, texting is the way to go. I'm just a proponent of a quick phone call if the opportunity arises.

Looking back now I don't disagree with you, but you can't at least understand it?

As for my excuse, I was young and stupidly trying to quickly replace a girl/relationshipl I was super into. I viewed anything short of a loving relationship with a super model as failure. I also hadn't yet gained an appreciation for some good, casual sex with sub-10s who are willing to give so much more effort.

She was noticeably disappointed and had dressed nice and such, but I only felt slightly bad about it since I felt like she lied to me. What's funny too is that she actually didn't look that terrible and, frankly, since I dig a little bit of weight on a girl, had she actually showed current photos on her profile from the start I probably would have still gone out with her. I even considered sending her a message suggesting she update her pictures and that they are misleading, but figured I had nothing to gain from it.

I think a quick hug is appropriate. It also depends on the setting and where you're positioned etc. if you're already seated, or whatever, you shouldn't jump up and make a big deal to climb out and give her a hug if it's just going to be awkward.Eta: also, just use you're gut. I always called them or had them call me at least once before. Seemed to break some of the initial tension and mildly assured the other person that I at least sound like who I am saying I am and vice versa.

I really disagree on the calling part. Personally I think a call makes things more awkward and forced. I've talked to many girls who just rely on texting nowadays for initial conversation and seeing an incoming call from the guy immediately turns them off. Save the full conversations to the in-person dates where you can utilize eye contact and body positioning to your advantage.

A) you don't know him
