I realize I haven't earned my keep on the underground. This week I've been crazy busy with work and I will be out of town until Tuesday. Hopefully next week I'll have more time to send out some emails on match. I think I've rewritten my profile three times. Still sounds too serious and crappy. I may have to forward to our in-house expert if she's got time. I'll assess the situation next week. Hey Woz, did you get any more replies from the flood of emails you sent out the other day? I'll shoot it to you in a bit bankerguy. I have his user names at two sites. I just got home from work, so after a little wind down time with a glass of port I'll find them and PM you his links. I've already been told to get a pic of him that looks a bit less stern (I read serial killer in his expression, but same same) and to clean up some of his self description work.
Apparently the one he messaged for a few hours last night passed him a phone number this morning. I'll find out how thats going when he comes over later tonight.
Another friend I am talking to on the phone told me that the whole internet dating thing was productive for him, BUT since he started ballroom dancing he has been in the money non stop. Its for an older crowd (30 and up) but at 40 he is having to turn away women as he is always busy.

Im 37 myself, I simply meant to say if 19 year olds are your thing, they won't be found in his happy hunting grounds. Older means well past high school, not geriatric folks He is telling me the ratio is about 8:5 women to men, might be something to try if any of you ever desired to try that scene.Ok, off to fix the dishwasher and get cleaned up. Minor update on my idating friends situation. We spent some time looking over sites and he found a number of interesting women on yahoo personals. Is that one of the sites with fake profiles? Some seemed a bit unreal.
POF has a number of entries, but once he weeded it down to athletic/thin types he only had a handful to consider. Yahoo had around 100, of which 9 or 10 peaked his interest.
He has been trying things via myspace for a few weeks and told me that his issue seems to be centered around the initial meeting. He can message and talk on the phone and set up a meet no problem. He has had 2 announce last minute that they aren't going to meet him with no explanation. He doesn't think he said or did anything weird, just a pair of last minute cancels without further contact.
When he got a bit gun shy is when I stepped in and began trying to help. So far so good. He has a meet set up with one for next weekend and a potentials list of around 12 or 13 from the 3 sites he is now on. All are freebie sites. Are any of the idating crew finding that the pay sites are working better or offer a larger selection? I may spring for a month or two of match.com or something if it will open up the possibilities for him. Aside from liking thin women, prefers no kids, 25 to 35 is his target range and he is 31, he doesn't seem too picky. Oh and he is more than a little scared of the ones who basically advertise "desperately seeking any man" type profiles.
He couldn't stop laughing when I told him the greatest minds in fantasy football were going to try to lend a hand.
Our gem of the night... woman demanding an intelligent man, claimed an IQ of 129, and yet failed to form a single sentence that didn't make me feel like she dropped out of school in the 3rd grade.
