Not dating per se, but thought I'd share this with you guys from Sat night...It's a female friend of mine's b-day, and she has a room at a bar downtown in the Village reserved...3 buddies of mine and I head down there, including my oldest friend, a guy I've known for 25 years, and who is, amazingly, at age 30, still a virgin...Yup...The 30 year old virgin incarnate...We'll call him Lance (because that;'s his name...Really)He has zero game, refuses to listen to any advice, and has less success closing than Armando Benitez in the playoffs...So we're at the bar, and there's this cute chick there who I'm digging...We're dancing together, we're both a bit further along than tipsy, we're making as much small talk as the booming music will allow, generally having a pretty good time...After about 30 minutes or so of this, I go to the bar to get some drinks as it is my turn to buy a round for the group I came with...Bar is really crowded, so it takes about 10 minutes total to get back to the room (which did not have its own bar, unfortunately)...I get back, and Lance is sitting in the corner, which is not easily accessible, with the girl I was dancing/chatting with, and he has his arm around her shoulder...I am seriously at this point...In my book he just committed one of the worst acts a friend could...It's one thing to cockblock someone...It's another thing entirely to wait until your friend leaves the room and then run over and mack it to the chick he;s been talking to...I mean, this is really ######## behavior in my mind...So now I have to decide if it is worth me making a scene at my friend's birthday by going over there and confronting him, but I decide it is a better idea to just a lot more and curse him from across the room...My other friend, Lance's roomate BTW, is as incredulous as I am, so we go play beirut instead and proceed to get WASTED...We stumble out of the bar at about 3 AM and I'm way too drunk to get home to Queens, so I crash on his sofa...I wake up at about 9 AM to the sound of Lance walking this girl out of the apartment...I am honestly in shock (and still drunk, BTW)...I am now conflicted, as I am still pissed at him, but also amazed and happy that he has finally had sex with a girl...I mean, they had to have had sex, right? She was definitely looking for action, they were chatting it up for well over 90 minutes, and she came home with Lance...Not even Lance could screw this up, right?So I stumble into his room, and ask him, so, what happened?"Nothing, really," he answers...WHAT???"Well, we made out a little, and we snuggled, but nothing beyond that."WHAT???"Yeah, we left the bar at 4 or so, and she was hungry, so I took her to that 24 hour French restaurant a couple of blocks away and we had a very nice meal...""You took her on a date at 4 AM?""So we got back here and I asked her if she wanted to watch a movie""WHAT??? I agree with Stu, Yahoo sucks, I get very low hit rates there, and there seems to be a very high number of romance scammers there, I even got an email from someone I don't know about a class action lawsuit against Yahoo Personals I will probably sign up for Match in a few weeks depending on how my P.O.F. and eHarmony connections go since I am starting to get backed up.

I'm sorry but if I hit 24-25 without having the secks I'm paying for it. If you get out of college without getting some it’s time to break the seal. It’s way to big of an albatross hanging on your neck at that point to not be an issue IMO.(of course this doesn’t apply for those who are saving themselves for marriage etc.)

In the last couple weeks I started getting a dozen "size enhancement" emails a day, directed to eharmony@xxxx.xxx. Those bastages sold my email - and not only did they sell it, they sold it to the lowest spammer contingent out there. I've since filtered any emails directed to that address but what a load of crap!

I was on eharmony for about a month, 3+ years ago. When I would actually give my address to someone (I think it might have happened twice), I would give them my normal address.

First a few general observations.1) I might be alone in this, but I really prefer women older than me (33). I am finding the younger ones super annoying and still in game mode. Who knew I'd be a MILF lover...weird. 2) The best nights for making contact with woman on-line are Thursday nights and Sunday nights. Friday and Saturday you are wasting your time. The good ones are already out on dates and early in the early part of the week most woman are pretty indifferent. Maybe keeping their options open. I think I'm onboard with you here. I didn't expect it either... figured after the marriage ended I'd get younger at that position.The "no games" thing has been my experience as well. They seem to be more in tune with what they want, so they're not dangling sex in front of you like some sort of carrot which is nice.

When a girl is going out for her birthday and is told by somebody she is not hot, therefore her opinion doesnt matter, she will not be happy, nor should she be. Especially when this is on the heels of being called a skank. I had a lengthy conversation with Woz about this last night so he understands my thoughts. I also know he genuinely feels bad, because Woz, although childish is still a decent guy IRL.Larryboy, Myself, Keys, Bankerguy, Sweet J, we all have taken many shots at Woz. This whole board has. Way more than Krista actually, yet somehow she draws the lowblows.Lets figure that out, and that should probably solve a lot of Woz's dating issues.

The first probably being the stronger reason is that I respected Krista and didn't think she'd be the type to act so childish to make fun of people and be so vindictive about it. So, naturally, it stung. I can't just laugh and roll my eyes and not take it seriously when she says something the way I easily when when Larry Boy says something. Second, it's all timing. The skank comment came when I was drunk and pissed and after she agreed with a poster who said I treat girls like crap. The recent comment came on a day where I had a real life fight with a girl and didn't appreciate another female making fun of me.

Going to come to Woz's defense.Not sure anger to women is accurate. I believe it has more to do with not being over his ex, which has been discussed in here already. My 0.02 opinion is that Woz is probably not really ready to date yet. He is likely using his dating to deal with the loss of his past relationship. I can say this....because I have been there too. For me....dating was a nice diversion, however, until I really dealt with the end of the relationship I was just fooling myself.

Agreed. Most of my dates have been with 27-28 year olds, but most of my good dates have been with 33-35 year olds.Speaking of, my date last night with a 35 year old lasted until 7:30 this morning. Good times. But have I mentioned lately how much I hate condoms? tis:

My 0.02 opinion is that Woz is probably not really ready to date yet. He is likely using his dating to deal with the loss of his past relationship. I can say this....because I have been there too. For me....dating was a nice diversion, however, until I really dealt with the end of the relationship I was just fooling myself.

All fiction is based in truth. I never said the "Woz" here is a completely fake personality. All my stories here are real. But certainly the discussions here are handled in a way that doesn't happen IRL and I take way more on here than I would IRL and let myself be played up as the bumbling loser b/c I think a little self-depreciation is good. meh.We know how this story goes. Woz posts dumb stuff. Everybody makes fun of Woz. Woz has bad day, Krista makes fun of Woz. Woz then crosses the line and gets super mad so he takes a completely out of line or childish shot at her. Krista gets pissed, Woz feels bad and tries to explain it away as some joke or whatever.Here is what I know. When a girl is going out for her birthday and is told by somebody she is not hot, therefore her opinion doesnt matter, she will not be happy, nor should she be. Especially when this is on the heels of being called a skank. I had a lengthy conversation with Woz about this last night so he understands my thoughts. I also know he genuinely feels bad, because Woz, although childish is still a decent guy IRL.Larryboy, Myself, Keys, Bankerguy, Sweet J, we all have taken many shots at Woz. This whole board has. Way more than Krista actually, yet somehow she draws the lowblows.Lets figure that out, and that should probably solve a lot of Woz's dating issues.

The answer is pretty simple - it's a combination of two things. The first probably being the stronger reason is that I respected Krista and didn't think she'd be the type to act so childish to make fun of people and be so vindictive about it. So, naturally, it stung. I can't just laugh and roll my eyes and not take it seriously when she says something the way I easily when when Larry Boy says something. Second, it's all timing. The skank comment came when I was drunk and pissed and after she agreed with a poster who said I treat girls like crap. The recent comment came on a day where I had a real life fight with a girl and didn't appreciate another female making fun of me.

Woz, I mean this honestly and helpfully and am in no way being flippant...You have anger issues with women that you need to work out before you will have a healthy relationship, IMO...

If I do, they've only devloped recently and certainly you can't expect me to do anything but at you're trying to evaluate me through internet posts which are often played up

Going to come to Woz's defense.Not sure anger to women is accurate. I believe it has more to do with not being over his ex, which has been discussed in here already. My 0.02 opinion is that Woz is probably not really ready to date yet. He is likely using his dating to deal with the loss of his past relationship. I can say this....because I have been there too. For me....dating was a nice diversion, however, until I really dealt with the end of the relationship I was just fooling myself.

I agree with most of what you are saying, especially the "not over his ex" part...And I don't think he's some raging violent misogynist or anything, and maybe the term "anger towards women" comes off worse than I mean...But I do standby the heart of my statement...When Woz lashes out at Krista because he doesn't want another female making fun of him, it reveals confidence and self-esteem issues that are really tied up with women and sexuality...I agree this is probably because he has significant unresolved feelings/issues with the ex, and I think he needs to resolve these before he can be in a healthy relationship...Again, just putting my .02 in...

Movie or not it wasn't funny. Neither was the "skank" (IIRC) comment that appeared to start all this awhile back in some other thread. If that's not where it started or the whole story or whatever, that's fine. I can't imagine a scenario that would change my opinion here though.
