Cap I don't get it. I really like your squad. I don't understand why it doesn't hit.
His guys have brutal OBP. It could also be the in-game manager which may improve when the computer controls Cap's team ;)

Even better is Rose booting 3-4 balls per game....
I'm using Killebrew away from his natural position and he doesn't have an error in nearly 20 games.
Clearly the best player in the sim so far for ALL teams has been King Kelly. Guy just knows how to get it done.

Goslin will lead the sim in HR's if this keeps up I s##t you not.
Charles Johnson will hit .500 too. Guys a machine.Soriano will bat .095 with 400 strikeouts. :wall:
Killebrew and Foxx will play for the special olympic team if they keep hitting like they have been.

wish I knew..tired of being 2-hit. doesn't make sense why guys like mays and mccovey struggle so much. :shrug:GB pounding nipsey for 8 runs a game..but I can't play him every day.

Willie hit?
no, benched him for Bonds.Bonds :own3d: nipsey.
The only games you won were played under protest. I had no Cy and you were pumping Randy at me. Then, once Cy was added, he owned Johnson just like everyone expected him to. :own3d:

As a side note, when WIS responded to my e-mail to get Young in there, they ended their E-mail with this:, "thanks Nipsey and by the way, that is just an awesome team you've compiled. One of the best all-time teams we've ever seen. Your squad has been the talk of the office all day. One worker said, 'his team IS great, just imagine is he had Stan Hack'. Then everyone laughed and shook their heads because you DO have Stan Hack. Just incredible, Nipsey. Nice work."

PODI don't know what's funnier....Nipsey's made up e-mail or the fact that he's pimping Stan Hack

As the draft wore on, it became clear that harrier knew what he was doing wrt the sim. He's even got some football experience under his belt. I ran a buttload of sims against his team last night and was barely in most game. I think there was one where I lost 20-1.

you sim-:fishing:I didn't. :(
Don't even throw me in with that group. All my guys were taken because my park has a -4 rating for homeruns and +1, +2, and +2 for singles doubles and triples. It's intentional that my guys have low homerun totals and high batting averages.

I have to say, the live games are a LOT of fun. I think its shameful that people were so strict on that stupid 3rd year rule - in the end, it only relegates the sim to being a fun exercise that has little bearing at all on the relative abilities of each team.Without naming names, certainly teams drafted for sim. They picked guys that would perform well notonly in a sim (ie deadballers) but worse yet, that had a good "3rd year"I know offhand at least 3-5 changes I would have made if the intent was to win the battle of players third years, sim wise.If someone REALLY had the balls (again no names mentiond) they would right now pony up 12 more bucks and say ok - 3rd year or worse, but pickt he year that best represents that that player was in his prime (without the brady anderson picks). Some of us saw this all along - but a couple very stubborn folk I suppose would rather win their sims than win something worth more than a hill of beans.(been a while since I ranted in this thread : ) )

very good wrathNipsey said he wants you to name names

If by this you mean they checked to see if a guy had a bad 3rd year and if so then passed on the player in the draft, then yes I am guilty of that and said early on in the draft that I was doing that. I don't see how that is any different than verifying with Capella which season Eckersley can use. It required of the potential drafter knowledge that Eck's third best salaried season was as a starter.

The fact that harrier went on and on about deadball era pitchers and then loaded up on them makes this all particularly humorous. To wit:2 25 Harrier SP Grover Cleveland (Pete) Alexander3 40 Harrier SP Mordecai Brown5 72 Harrier SP Ed Walsh10 153 Harrier SP Chief Bender13 200 Harrier SP Jack Pfiester16 249 Harrier SP Hippo Vaughn18 281 Harrier SP Slim Sallee20 313 Harrier SP Red Munger21 328 Harrier SP Ed ReulbachI think he devoted pages to railing on Tim Keefe.Guess he got sniped on that pick.

Why don't you just use the seedings Oso and others are providing and make the all-time teams 1-16, make the 3 modern teams 17-19, and make the 5 scrub teams 20-24. So you'd get 1,12,13,24...2,11,14,23...3,10,15,22...4,9,16,21...5,8,17,20...6,7,18,19.
 i was going to suggest this, and have already worked up these exact groupings. i'll PM to Capella tomorrow once all seedings are in. he can take it or leave it, at his discretion as "commish".I still think you need balanced schedules. The post-94 teams will probably win 50-60 games in a 162-game season against the all-time teams. But the joke teams will win maybe 10 games.Another suggestion is to put all the all-time teams into 4 of the 6 divisions, and put the other teams in the other 2 divisions (one in each league). Sure, then you'd have two non-drafting teams in the playoffs, but could set it up so that those teams merely forfeit their playoff series. p.s. to note that i haven't read through the thread update today, and this may already be a settled issue later in the thread.

Have the seedings been released or secret?
gave the seeding committee until end of day today to submit by PM to me. I see trefor3 has abstained.
Honestly, I don't have the time to do any analysis-based seedings right now. Too much going on with the BBT mock, the GDR draft, and my actual job to put much effort into it.I'd just end up basing it on the Win Shares data that I already have. I suggest using whatever oso has come up with.
